Cindy turned around to see who it was. It was the boy she met in the town while she was about to leave through an alley way to get away from the guards. It must have been her sister's doing.
"Do you need any help?" He said to her gently, with a soft smile on her face. She nodded in response.
"That would be lovely. Thank you." She gave him a smile in return. It was a polite thing to do in the city. "I'm Cinderella, but you can call me Cindy."
"Well, it's nice to meet you Cindy. I'm Laurence. My family's own the Green shop." She stood out her hand to give him a hand shake, he responded by taking the kind gesture. "So why are you out here all alone? A lady should never be out in the woods alone without any one with her to make sure they are safe."
Cindy didn't know what to say. She shouldn't get feeling's for him. She has to focus on who killed her father. Then it hit her. Was she the one who killed him?
"Well, I was just out here to make my self a house." She made eye contact with Laurence. He just looked at her for a few seconds.
"Alone?" She nodded to his short question.
"Yes, why?" She tilted her head in confusion. 'Was it bad to do it alone?' She thought to herself.
"I can help you if you want. It's not that hard if you have multiple people with you. If you do it alone it will take longer than you want it to." He looked at her beautiful hazel eyes. He wanted to fall right into them. "So, how big do you want the house to be?"
"Umm. Like a normal house. I don't know." She shrugged at his question. She didn't know what she was supposed to say. After discussing the house plans. They started to cut down some wood. They started to build the house with each other. It took around one month. But it was finished, the house was beautiful, it was a nice cottage in the center of the woods far from the town. It was 20 miles out from the town. Laurence grew feelings for Cindy. He proposed to her, she happily accepted it without hesitation.
They lived together in the cottage they built two years ago. "Hey, Laurence! Do you know where I put the baby food?" She looked through the cabinets in the kitchen. Laurence walked into the kitchen and said,
"Wasn't it in the bottom right cabinet?" He said to her and she looked through it and found it in the very back. She picked t up and turned around to face him.
"You are a live saver." She walked up to him and hugged him and he hugged her back. "I'll be leaving for town after I feed the baby. Okay."
"Okay. And I will make sure that the baby will be safe while you're gone." He smiled at his wife and she gave him a smile in return. She fed the baby and walked out to go to town, when she came back she saw the house was on fire.
"Laurence!" Teardrops started to come out of her eyes. She fell on the cold ground and sobbed. The villagers all came running to the smoke and saw Cindy on the ground crying. A nice lady came to her side and helped her up.
"Shh... it's okay... everything it going to be alright..." The lady petted her head to make her calm down. That was when Cindy decided to fight for her family, and to gain her revenge. She just wanted to live a normal life like everyone else. She didn't get to see her daughter to grow up into a beautiful young lady, she didn't get to live with Laurence until there last days. She didn't get to do a lot of things since that fire happened. All she wanted to do was to be a normal girl, with a normal life.
