I calmed myself down and focused on the task at hand first.
I agreed to fuse the new water ball skill into the old one, and instantly, I saw [Water Ball] change its name and description.
[Torrenting Water Ball, Lvl 5.
An upgraded version of Water Ball.
Damage and splash damage are based on the level of the skill*Intelligence points*5 + 500 Base damage*number of water balls added into the spell/5.
Default number of water balls added: Level of skill + Intelligence/10. Rounded down.
Cast Time: 2.0 seconds. Cannot go down any lower.]
So currently, I can deal 1500+1100 with its current level? Eh, good enough. Quite close to my damage if i casted it 3 times in 3 seconds anyways. At the same time, the maximum damage cap was removed. That's good news for me.
I landed on the sand and looked at the interface for any enemies approaching. I could see 5 coming to my position from all directions. But as I looked around I couldn't see anything. Does this mean... they're underground??!
I paled a bit and jumped with the help of my 2nd-tier support magic, [Flight]. Immediately I soared to 25 meters above the ground. I immediately prepared to cast [Torrenting Water Ball]. Slowly, in front of me, a water ball was forming, and even I could feel the strong torrenting force contained within it. At the same time, its size increased from 5 times the original to 8 times the original. Oh well, at least I don't have to aim. splash damage and normal damage is the same anyways.
I commanded the water ball to hit the location where I was standing from. A meter away from it, 5 ants of the same group appeared and began to search the previous area I was in.
Bye Bye Ants~

I moved about for a while before resting and checking my stats. After all, I killed 6 1-star beasts. Sadly, the other beasts I killed before was just 0-star, so they didn't have much with them.
Upon seeing the system points, I immediately focused on my level and saw that there was a faintly glowing plus sign beside it.
I continued to click the plus sign until I reached level 10. I checked my new stats and saw that all of them had a great increase. For 10 levels, I gained 2.5% decrease in skill cost purchase and upgrade.
I was quite content with my current abilities and believed that I could finally see the health points of the other beasts I would be facing.
I then decided to get a defensive skill, and my first thought was checking the time skill branch. If there was a skill that allowed me to negate attacks towards me to the point of non-existence, wouldn't that be the ultimate defense?
These thoughts were shattered when I saw that the skill I was describing was a 10th-tier skill under Time, named [Absolute Negation Barrier]. There were no other defensive barriers under Time skill branch that didn't require my level to be 30 and above as well as intelligence to be at minimum 250. It seems I could only use Time-defensive skills when I'm level 30 then. I instantly decided to add 100 to my intelligence, making my damage frighteningly high when even using the most basic elemental bolts.

I shook my head and decided to check the skills for the defensive skill branch for each element besides time.
I checked for water related spells for now since the circumstances require me to do so.
-Water Defense
-Water Barrier
-Ice Barrier
-Shield of Aqua
-Ice Isolation Barrier
-Waterdrop Barrier
-Aquarius' Blessing
-Wave of Poseidon
-Leviathan Scales
-Tiamat's Rage
I unlocked Water defense and upon seeing the description, maxed it out, costing me 2250 points.
[Water Defense, lvl 10.
A thin layer of water will passively surround your body, moisturizing you and negating any negative effects of the environment.
Past level 5, increases water affinity by +2 every level.
Effectively stops diffusion-based attacks at max level.]
I decided to unlock Water barrier and level it up to 10, the maximum level for the skill, costing me 4750 points. I was poor again, with only 2000 skill points remaining.
[Water Barrier, lvl 10.
A layer of water extended from the body will repel attacks.
Has a durability of Intelligence points*Base defense 100. Once durability is surpassed, the layer of water barrier is removed, exploding to nearby areas, causing a locked damage of 1000.
Number of layers summoned per cast: Intelligence points/20]

4 hours later, night time.
Looking down at the two beasts from the sky, I couldn't help but be wary of any possible attacks from them.
HP: 10000/10000 Can jump as high as 30 meters in the air, with a lunging distance of 10 meters. Its venom can actually melt through metal. It is advisable to fight this monster from afar.> Ah, damn. my flight skills won't be much help. It can still reach me. I have to actively dodge and make sure my attacks are accurate as possible to eliminate them at the fastest time. I was just taking my time roaming around the area and following the golden arrow in my system map when I suddenly saw rapidly moving red dots to my direction. I instantly thought of the [Waves] Skill. It was a 4th-Tier skill, and probably, with my current intelligence level, I could easily wipe off the two Snakes. I immediately checked the skill.
