Walking through the stairs, David observed his surrounding in a carefree manner.
"This is too easy, Your simulation is harder. Are you starting to lose your sense?"
"Because you ask for a 1.5 harder than the most accurate prediction!" Anetroc retorted.
"OH! My bad."
"Please stop with this carefree attitude, you cannot be lax regarding your surrounding. I will help you with danger threat, but you will miss your objectives and I won't listen to any complaints."
"OK." David answered but he seemed not paying much to Iris words.
There no one guarding the stairs from the summit that disciplinary hut-like building was situated, that was the reason why David unworried walked to the lower part.
David did not really get careless, but he knew that Iris would tell him if there was an enemy, he wholeheartedly trusted in this Iris very much.
"Master, there were two guards sleeping at the start of the stairs. They were veteran wizards, one on the left was of fire attribute, the one on the right was a female wizard of two attributes with the age of 20. The female wizard was of Indo-European with black hair and blue eyes, very suit to your liking. Do you want my help in capturing her alive?" Iris told David the location of the enemies and pinpoint the abilities of said opponents.
"That's great….. I mean, no need for that. This is war and I don't intend to left most of my enemy alive anyway. But maybe you could tell me the way to capture her alive that cause no sound, I want to grant mercy as much as possible." David talked with Iris and stopped his moving so that the enemy would not notice him.
"There are two methods to capture the enemies alive. One would capture the female and kill another male, while the other capture both of them alive."
"I guess to keep both alive would be a bit harder, let get with another one."
"You could tell me that you just want the female one."
"I'm not!"
"Really?"
"Maybe a little."
"Beware that any method of capturing the female one could lead to your objective failure."
"Fine, fine, fine. But you know, I am a man and of course, I would like to not harm women as much as possible. Well, now that I was a leader who dictating my people lives, I believe I should not let my own emotions get sway by a bit of mercy. Am I right. Iris?" David replied but he did not notice that something about his minds had gone wrong.
A good ruler protected his people life, they did not dictate anyone life. Only tyrant did.
"You wanted to keep her, aren't you?"
"Damn it, yes I want. I will finish it quickly, stop teasing me."
David stopped his thought as he walked down with a knife in each hand. When he almost reaching the two guards, he jumped then threw the knife on his left hand to the male guard, the male guard died in his sleeping on his chair without making any sound.
David then continued with cutting the female guard's throat with the other one he held on his right and covered her mouth with his left hand.
David did not clean cut the head from the body even if he could to not make any sound, he took the blade out of both corpses, hiding them in the shrub and continued walking to the other part.
"Master, from the information we received before, the guard would change in the few hours, you should hurry."
"It's fine, I already calculated the time we need. Everything is according to my plan, trust me."
"Don't kid me, I knew you more than you knew yourself. If you stop being stubborn and let me handled everything, it will be a lot faster."
"….."
******************************************************
During the daytime before David's infiltration into Akkee sect.
"Mother, you need to take care of yourself. I will bring my share to you."
"You don't need to worry about me. You should eat until you are full, even I know that this time the sect was under a dire situation."
"Mama…"
The boy wanted to run away with his mother but with the situation at hand and his mother condition, he could not do anything. What could he do? He was only a boy, yes he was a wizard and if he got a dozen year he could become one of the youngest archwizards, but that was it. His skill was better than his peer and he too felt satisfied when he beat those who bullied him in the past, but for what.
Now he was like a fish that was caught in the net, he knew that this place was finished.
"I don't want to die with this place, what can I do? What's about mama? She sicked and could not defend herself at all." the boy thought.
"You don't have to worry about me. Go by yourself if you can, mother know that if you are alone you may be able to run."
"Huh? Mother, you know what I am thinking?" The boy was confused at his mother words.
"Of course. I am your mother." She said then coughed with blood out of her mouth.
The boy knew what was his mother illness.
It was tuberculosis as known as [the white plague]. One of the worst enemy human ever fought with, this disease caused pain all over the history of mankind on earth, historian estimated that this disease killed more than a billion over the history of mankind.
If the boy was not gifted with cheated from the beardy god who called himself Marduk he could be infected by now due to the nature of this illness, but that was nothing for him, he would take care of her even if he did not has such a cheat.
He was blessed with the cheat and gifted in magic but there was nothing he could do to help his mother, he could heal her to prolong her life but that was not enough to get her back to health.
The light magic [Heal] could only help with the wound by improving the body regeneration, but could not help with the illness caused by virus and bacteria.
The result from healing could only relieve pain and helped restore a bit of stamina and life force, but to get rid of the illness was due to luck.
