In David's office, all remain the same for the past hour.
"Solo, why you want to solve violence with violence too much? Can't you imagine all the people living in peace? I won't deny the possibility of really bad people, but in spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart. All I am saying is give peace a chance "
"WOWOWO. Woden, do you know someone imagines people live their lives in peace was shot to death? And the other one died in the concentration camp." David retort to his friend words in his mind.
"They are poison snakes, we don't need them, quick extermination is what best for the people now" Solo argued.
"Violence will lead to more violence, it does not resolve the problem. We won't be different from them if all we do is just killing endlessly."
"Why? We just use the easiest way to finish the problem. I don't believe that they will walk out from their graves and complain."
David knew that Solo was not good at convincing people, he was better to rile people up. After listening to their conversation, David started to regret. It would be good if he let Solo acted as his partner or supporter with his quick wit but to let him do it alone was a big mistake. The conversation went more and further in the wrong way.
They were best friends but their personality was far apart. One was black heart strategist, and the other was an ideological activist, they could cooperate when there was danger from the enemy in front of them but now that all the significant enemy was vanquished, their difference frame of mind started to become more clear. Woden was not too stupid to give mercy on the battlefield but now that peace had arrived he started to show his weakness.
"Let's stop this for now, since the sun going to set, let's talk about work later after dinner? Al and Bet always want to talk with you Woden." David stopped the conversation between Woden and Solo, he did not believe that doing so would gain any benefit. Better rested a bit and enjoyed a carefree talk with his friends and sons.
However, David attempted for a relaxed meal went haywire, his idea of inviting his children to soften the mood may not be wrong but his choice was bad. And the relaxed meal shifted slowly into Woden and his sons talked about rule of law, moral and philosophy. Instead of man's talk David had in mind, it became from a boring to a very boring subject when he was not in the mood.
While they were having dinner, the steward brought David emergency news about a disaster in the south. Normally, something like this would only give the ruler headache but for now, this is good news for him as he could change the topic into something more interesting for him and Solo.
The content was about the tsunami that hit the southern continent and stated that there were in dire need of emergency disaster relief for both funds and manpower. The number of dead and injured did not include but estimated that would be very high. Since the southern continent was the land of semi-barbaric demihuman races in the past before David inv….introduced them into the dawn of civilization. While he already removed Yaksa race off the continent but the resentment from those who once pledged allegiance to Yaksa race still there, handled carelessly may be led to riot and insurgent by some demihuman tribes. The situation was grave and there was a need for some high ranking officer to help take control of the situation.
The three scholars turned their attention to this news, after that the conversation was about how to deal with the disaster and how to prepare for countermeasure in case of something alike happen in another place in the future. They really worried about this but that did not mean they need to startle, because the speed for information from the south to reach the capital mean that it happened some time ago, maybe a week before.
"Father, the people they suffer, let me take care of this. I will go to the south personally." Crown prince Bet volunteered for the duty.
"Father, brother was a crown prince, this matter depends on the damage may need a long time to complete, I would be more suited for the task."

But David knew that his two kind heart sons just wanted to help their people.

They knew that Woden was a good guy but Woden did not need any achievement anymore. He already did a lot and with him into 50 he should be live more comfortably in the capital.
