I'm in the hospital eating applesauce when my dad rushes in. He doesn't even say anything at first. He runs over and hugs me. Then he just stares at me before gagging me again. While he's still hugging me he starts to talk. "This has been the absolute worst three days of my life. I was so worried about you. I cried over the phone when they told me they found you. Where were you?"
"It's been three days. Isn't it Wednesday?" I say confused.
"No honey no.. no ones seen you since Tuesday. It's Friday. You didn't know what day it was? Oh god what happened?" He says worriedly. I look away from him and out the window if the hospital room. I can't even say what's happened. It's like there's a thick wall preventing me from talking about it.
"I can't.. I don't know how," I say still looking away from him. He let's go of me and sits on the bed beside me.
"You can't what?" He asks. He puts his hand on my leg. My eyes start to tear up.
"I.. I.. I can't.. tell you. It hurts to much," I say with my lip trembling. Tears start running down my face. I grab my dad and hug him as tight as I can. I'm just bawling out tears on him right now. "I thought I was going to die!" I cry. "Don't leave me alone! I don't feel safe anymore!" I start to cry even harder. My dad wraps his arms around me and let's my cry on him.
"It's okay. You're safe now. Cry it all out. I promise I won't leave you," he says in a calming voice. He kisses my forehead.
"My eyes.... blue.... eyes... I'm not..."
"HEY PRINCESS. YOU STILL ON EARTH!???"
~flashback ends~
"HEY LISA YOU THERE!?!" Yells Daniel in my ear. I punch him as hard as I can in the stomach. "Hey! Easy there girl," he says backing away holding his stomach.
"Don't you dare ever call me anything that has to do with my eyes," I say. I look up and stare into Daniels eyes.
"You... have a good punch," says Daniel.
"Damn straight I do. Jenny we're leaving. Daniel you don't owe me anything. Thank you for lending me you kindness. Goodbye," I grab Jennifer's hand and drag her out of the room.
"Bye Lisa! See you around," says Daniel. I shut the door behind me and walk away.
"Looks like I upset her, damn. At least I don't have to pay for anything. I hope I never see her again. This was one hella weird day," says Daniel. He grabs his stuff and leaves after a little while. "I missed work to take care of her too."
