"Father welcome back, you don't look injured at all, was it that easy?"
My Father looked proud, " Why yes, something like that was of no means difficult for me"
I was proud too, such a great tree to lean on in case of all the troubles I wanna accidentally cause.
My Father and I rushed to the academy to check up on my Mother, while Wolf, the shadow guard, silently disappeared into the background.
" Papa!," My brother said in between tears, " Mom almost couldn't make it, I couldn't do anything."
My brother was really mature for his age and he was only four years older then I was. From when I was born, my brother has always been beside me when my parents weren't around and he allows me to take advantage of him. If I wanted what he had he would give it to me, when I wanted to play he played with me. My brother has always fought for me and protected me. I remember one time when a noble kid called me a pig and my brother, Victor, beat the kid half to death. My brother was definitely a sis-con...brother-con, a brother con. I really love my brother and so being the good kid I am I don't always take advantage of him, and I make sure to show my love.
It's just sometimes I feel as if Victor was more mature then I was, I mean I've lived two lives and yet I was out done by my older brother. Also when my brother was six he went to test for his element and he came back as a non-element meaning he had none. I remembered he cried when no one was watching and when he was around me he was always smiling. This time it was my turn to protect him, I was not going to let a single one of my family suffer any grief.
I tightly hugged my brother, " Brother you've done a lot and you're not useless."
My Father patted both our heads, " I'm proud of both of my children's, Victor man up I heard what you did, you called the doctor didn't you?"
Victor nodded and my Father hugged us both, " You kids can head home first and let your mom rest here, Papa will be busy for awhile so you probably won't see me. Wolf! Take my children home."
The shadow guard appeared and my Father disappeared to god knows where. I looked up at the shadow guard and it looks like he's wearing a different type of veil it looks to be a sturdier one, one that someone couldn't just yank off. Hehe.
Suddenly I remembered blood gushing out from my mother and I felt myself trembling and shivering, " I'm scared can I hold your hand?" I asked the shadow guard. When I was acting brave I had almost forgotten what had happened today.
Silence... A tear dropped, I was actually scared, my Mother whom I looked up to and loved could have just died there and what if? What if I didn't have this power? What if I couldn't save her?
Someone whispered, why do you care? You are selfish and disgusting are you sure they really love you? Your Father probably thinks you are a monster or why would he not take you home instead? Maybe you should die! Maybe they should all DIE!
I felt a warmth grab both of my hands, I came back to reality. My brother held my left hand and the shadow guard held the other hand. I felt I could finally breathe when cool healing energy traveled through my body. I saw white strands of light emitting off of Wolf the shadow guard. Thank you I silently said, Thank you... I then felt light-headed and my vision faded.
I felt time and space distorted, I saw my Father, I saw him drink water... the water was different it was water and I saw something that wasn't a thread, it was more of a mass, a dark dangerous mass in the water. Poison? I saw through different scenes he was drinking water filled with the same dark mass until he finally dropped. Then I saw him struggling to move and he looked up and despair and disappointment were on his face, Why? I heard him say. Then I saw a sharp dagger stabbed at his heart.
NOO! I woke up, my brother was gone but the shadow guard was still there holding my hand.
Cough cough and then he pointed to his hand, Oh! I was tightly holding onto his hand not letting go. "...sorry.." I let go, "you can leave...WAIT!"
I felt myself sweating and I felt cold chills through my body, " Can you tell me who usually hands my Father his water?"
Silence...
