Laurel sat back down on her chair, tired and exhausted. I need to work out more. After four years of this, I should be used to those stairs especially since the elevator likes to break every second. After five seconds she was ordered to go get more printing paper. Seems like the boss wasted a lot of paper again. After she got the printing paper she rushed into
Ms.Mor's office, six minutes late for her meeting.
"As I was saying the sheet you guys have in front of you is a picture and description of the man who will be buying this business from me. I don't want you guys to go in blind,
I want you guys to know who you will be working for so you all can leave if you guys aren't sure if you guys want to be in his leadership Y'all can quit judgment free. For those wondering why I'm leaving you guys in his care, it's because my mother is sick, and I want to spend her last waking moments knowing that she isn't alone. Even after her death I still won't be coming back I have decided to start a family."
Ms.Mor sipped her coffee. "That's all for today. Goodbye, I enjoyed being yalls boss. Anyways get out my office!"
Laurel began to rush out of Ms.Mor's office like the rest of the workers. "Not you Laurel stay." Laurel stopped in her tracks and turned around to face her boss, for now. "Yes Ms.Mor, Is there something wrong?"
Ms.Mor gestured for her to sit down. "You have been a fantastic intern for this business so that's why I left a well-written essay of why when he gets here, he should promote you to Junior Reporter. Laurel, I see big things for you in the future." Laurels mouth dropped.
"What if he doesn't promote me?" Laurel asked.
"Well, I could always transfer you to a place needing your expertise." Laurel got up and tried to hug Ms.Mor.
"No, no I don't do hugs," Ms.Mor said as if she was disgusted by Laurel. "Close the door on your way out I have to call your new boss to see when he will show his face to his new employees.

After a long day at work, Laurel digs into her coat pocket and grabs her house keys. She struggles to unlock her front door, after her second attempt she walks into her empty apartment. "I'm homeeee," she said in a sing-song voice. Silence fell upon her.
"Who am I kidding no ones gonna answer. Kevin is most likely at his boy toys house. She walks into her bedroom which was right in front of her front door. She takes off all her clothes and wanders around the house looking for something to do. Then a flash of realization flashed into her eyes. I need to celebrate my new/almost promotion.
"Alexa play I just got promoted!" Laurel said from the hallway walking towards the living room.
"Playing I just got promoted." Bee boop.
Laurel started to sing off key when she realized that the blinds were open. She rushed into her room and threw on an adult onesie, and got back out there. After minutes of dancing, she started to think about the guy she met at the cafe as she laid flat on her floor. Wait if he owns the store then why is that the first I have seen him? And what's with the disguise? He was probably some criminal hiding from the police. "Ugh, why do I even care that's gonna be the last time I'll see him anyways.
