As Laurel walked into the coffee room the smell of her favorite thing got stronger. "Mmm. Oh my god, where were you sweet baby when I needed you for SATs?" She said as she poured herself a cup of coffee. She added 3 spoons of sugar, and some milk before she returned to her desk to work on this big story about a young entrepreneur named Antonio Ramirez. That name sounds familiar. Laurel opened the next tab and typed in Antonio Ramirez picture. "Ooo who's that?"
Laurels roommate Kevin asked. Kevin is currently the company's photographer. Laurel clicks open another tab, and this time she types in who is Antonio Ramirez? "Antonio Ramirez, a young entrepreneur/bachelor" She nudged Kevin and gave him a wink. "He owns about two company and a couple of small businesses. Mr.Ramirez is in the works of buying another one." Laurel said. Sipping her coffee.
"What if he was buying our company? Seeing that body every morning no one would need coffee anymore." Kevin's eyes glistened with admiration and lust. Laurel could tell Kevin had a crush. I wouldn't mind either.
"Shooo I have to work. So that maybe I'll have a chance to set up an interview so that us two can meet him in person. Consider it your early birthday gift." After Kevin left Laurel continued to search more things about him and jotted every detail down. Until the phone on her right started beeping red. Laurel rushed to answer knowing who it was.
"Hello, Ms.Mor is there anything I could do for you today?"
"I want my regular today, so hurry up I have something to tell the workers and I can't tell them until your there.---beeep---
Laurel threw her head back spinning in her chair until She decided to finally get up. Four years of this, and I'm still not a reporter or an assistant. Or perhaps that's what the meeting is going to be about? Laurel scoffed in disbelief. She yanks her coat off the chair head leaving her desk with the chair spinning.
The bell of the coffee shop rings. She greets the workers with a warm smile.
"Good morning everybody could I get a Grande, Quad, Nonfat, One-Pump, No-Whip, Mocha?" As she got closer to the counter she began to take out her wallet. "Oh and to go please." Laurel was so in her own bubble that she didn't notice that she had cut someone's order right off.
"Excuse me miss, but I was saying my order." Said a tall dark hair Latino wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry I didn't see you there." The guy chuckled. "Here I thought to be tall made the girls notice me." The man said eyeing the curves of Laurel's body. Laurels cheeks turned noticeably red.
"To apologize, you can put your order on my tab," Laurel said as she gave a tug to her skin-tight dress which always seemed to find its way above my knees never going to let Kevin buy for me again. "No need I wasn't going to pay anyways since I'm the owner of this coffee shop.
