Molly wakes up as hears a thud coming from davids room. She runs in there to see david throwing his ball at his teddy bear and giggling. She sighs and shuts the door behind her and walks off to the kitchen to start breakfast, Bacon eggs and toast. And for their lunches she decides to make bologna sandwiches and sliced pickles. She packs each of them four sandwiches a piece and two big bags of chips...and a couple big water bottles each. She also packs a diaper bag and extra sets of clothes for David. And gets his big stroller. She goes to pack the car after she plates the food and puts it on the table. She gets david to his high chair and gets him started in his breakfast. Then she goes and gets jared up. "Jared..love..breakfast is ready. I've already packed the car up as well."
Jared sits up and rubs his eyes and squints at the light a little lost. "Oh? What's that smell? Food?" Jared looks at molly and smiles finally shaking off his dream and grogginess. " what time is it molls?" Molly pulls out her phone and looks at it. "It's almost 7. The zoo opens at 8. Come eat then get ready. Davids almost done eating.. I'll get him ready then eat. Then i'll get ready." Molly watched jared stand up. She watched how his muscles stretched with him...how his six-pack hasn't gone slack since high school. Molly shakes her head as she watches jared walk out the room pulling his shirt on. Molly follows him and sees david holding his arms out to her. "Mommy..done." She walks over to him and picks him up and gets him to the bathroom.
They bathe together and she gets him dressed in his blue shorts and yellow monkey shirt. Molly dresses in her blue sun dress. She walks out of davids room with him on her hip, and sets him on the floor with his toys as she eats her breakfast as jared gets ready. She cleans up the mess and sticks the dishes in the dishwasher and starts it then joins david on the floor. David looks at his mommy,his eyes flash red for a split second and she frowns then smiles at him after brushing the thought away. David stands up and walks to molly and hugs her. "Mommy...zoo time?" Molly nods. "Mhm! We just Have to wait on daddy to get dressed and we have to lock up. Then we will drive to the zoo...which is twenty minutes out of the city. We will get there right as it opens."
Jared walks out keys in hand and molly's purse. "Ready my people's? " molly stands and picks up david and tales her purse from jareds extended hand. "Of course we are ready love. Whos driving?" Molly asks as they walk out and jared sets the alarm and locks up the house. Jared smiles " I will love." Jared kisses her forehead as he climbs into the driver side and starts the car and lets it heat up. "So baby david. What shall we listen to? Black veil brides or. Metallica today?" David thinks "A7x!" Jared plugs his phone up to the Aux cord and plays 'A little piece of heaven' by Avenged sevenfold and starts to back up and drive off to the zoo.
Once jared parks molly looks back at David whos asleep in his car seat and smiles and whispers to Jared " Davids asleep. I'll pull the stuff out if you wake him up." Molly hurrys and starts to unpack the trunk. First molly sets up his stroller and then places the bags in the bottom basket as jared puts david in an buckles him and shuts and locks the car. They walk to the gates and wait the last ten minutes before the zoo opens. Jared pulls out his phone and pulls out the online tickets they bought. A worker goes to the ticket booth and gets them their bracelets. Molly pushes david into the zoo and they go straight for the monkeys. David giggles clapping." Monkey! Monkey! Mommy! Look!" Molly smiles and takes pictures." Yes baby...they are monkeys."
Around three in the afternoon molly and david sit on the picnic blanket in the grassy area of the zoo and eat. Jared lays under the umbrella and watches them. Molly stick her tongue out at Jared after he makes a dirty joke about the monkeys. " what...you know it's true. The monkeys are gonna have a spanking party after the zoo closes and everyone's gone home." Jared winks and rolls over to hugs david as he crawls over to him. "Daddy...we go see big kitties again? Then go home?" David asks as he yawns and curls up to jared. "Yep. We will see the big kitties one last time and then we will go home. And we can take a nap until it's time to go to the movies. " Jared stands and puts david back in his stroller and helps molly pack back up and and he pushes david back towards the entrance to the tigers.
David gasps and awes as the tigers purr as they sleep on the rocks. "Can i have one daddy?" Jared laughs and ruffles davids hair "baby. Of course you can have one...we have ones made small just for the houses. They come in different colors. Will that do?" David nods vigorously "yes daddy. Please. I'll feed it!" David yawns as molly pushes the stroller out the gate as the announcer talks over the intercom. "This is the last call for everyone to leave the park. This is the last call." David drifts off on the way across the parking lot back to the car. The clouds start to close in and darken the sky. Molly puts david in his car seat and buckles him in careful not to wake him up. Jared puts the stuff in the trunk amd climbs into the driver seat and starts the car just as molly joins him in the front seat. The rain starts down pouring which brings jared into a memory.
Flash back
1979
Jared decides he's going to take a shortcut home. He passes through an alley that two men dressed all in black just ran out of. And he sees a woman..with long strawberry blonde hair...and a bloody white sundress. He runs over to her side and drops to his knees. He eyes the long stake in her chest. "Ma'am are you okay. I'll call for help. Just hold on." He goes to pull his phone out but she stops him. This is the first time he looks at her face. She has blood red eyes and fangs. This shocks him but he doesn't back away, instead he leans forward to listen to her whisper. "My sweet boy, there is no need. I am dying. My name is rosemary, i am a vampire. Yes, i know i won't make it unless you allow me to go dormant in your body. You won't change, i will pass onto your first child...lest its a female ill become her. If male ill wake But...." Jared hushes her. "Do what you have to. I will share my body with you. No one deserves to die." She pulls him down and kisses his cheek and she glows a brilliant blue hue as she mends into his body,leaving her own dying one behind.
1997
Jared shakes his head and smiles at molly. "Ready to go nap molls?" She doesn't reply to him because she has spread fallen asleep. Jared chuckles lowly and turns down the music as he drives home. Once home he turns off the car and waits for the rain to stop. Once it does he wakes molly up and she looks around." Sweet we are home. Ill quickly get david in before the rain picks up. " molly hops out and rushes to get the door open and the alarm off and david inside. Then she helps jared brings stuff in and lock the car and the front door.
After a few months molly stretches out with david on her belly. "Mommy. When daddy come home from work?" Molly thinks "well baby. Daddy just went in an hour ago. So. He will be home in seven hours. That gives us time to go grocery shopping and get him something for his birthday." David giggles and wiggles as molly starts tickling him. They get ready in their rain coats and boots then go off to the store. Once they pick up their order they drive home and put it all away. "Mommy. Can we get daddy a toy car?" Molly thinks.."yes..what color?" David thinks and plays with his toy monkey. "Red!" Molly searches walmart's site and orders one for pick up in a few days."it will be here in two days.
Jared sits in his office four months after his birthday and looks at the red car david picked him for his birthday. He reads and approves the stories for the magazine. Bri sits back across from him. " So. What are you two going to do for his second birthday?" Jared thinks," don't quite know. Ask me a month before hand. " Bri laughs and leaves his office since lunch breaks over.
