Molly's dream
Molly ran through the forest sticky with sweat and blood all over herself. She ran away from David, her heart beating faster that it ever had before. 'Oh mother. If you stop running this won't hurt...that much.' Davids voice echoed through the forest lowly and deep. Molly doesn't reply back to David as she frantically runs looking for either a way out or help or just a place to hide. Visions of her son full grown with red eyes and fangs plays through her head as she finally finds a abandoned wood cabin to hide in. She makes quick work of the locked door and to the first closet she can find to hide in.
It's one of those ones with slats that you can see out but not into. She tries to control her breathing by taking deep breaths and placing her hand over her mouth. She hears David bust down the front door and she can see his red eyes just glowing. And his beautiful smile, covered in the blood of his victim and his fangs glistening. 'Mother dearest i smell your fear. I don't want to kill you. I simply want to make you stay with me forever. I couldn't bear to lose you.' She watches as David busts into a nearby room and tears it up looking for her. He goes room by room and he growls.
He finally stands in front of the closet she's hiding in and he smiles evilly and yanks it open and pulls his mother up gently but firmly. Molly freezes with a look of horror as David tilted her head to the side and roughly bites into her neck.
Molly wakes with a jolt as she felt two little sharp baby fangs sink into her wrist right into the vein. Molly waits a few seconds as she processes what's going on. Then by the time she blinks awake enough David rolls over and snuggles his daddy and Molly stares at the healing fang marks on her wrist. Molly looks at the clock and it's barely a little after one so she gets up and gets dressed for a jog around the park down the street.
As Molly jogs around the park for the fourth time in the hour she decides that it's time to just quick walk her way home now as a cool down. Molly watches the half moon in the sky as she makes it halfway down her block. She thinks to herself ' I wonder what tomorrow will bring us. Should I take david to the park? Maybe I'll make those finger sandwiches David really likes.'
Molly sits on the porch in her rocking chair as she watches the trees start to sway in the night breeze. She cracks open her water thermos she left on the porch when she went to jog and takes a long drink eyes closed as she just listens to the sound of the night. Molly's dream replays in her head as she rocks. She shivers and rubs her arms and thinks ' I hope that's not a premonition. Gram Gram use to tell me about hers and they always came true. She also said that after our first kid…..they would start….'
Molly's eyes go wide and she stands quickly making the rocking chair rock quickly as she runs inside and upstairs to her room and she finds David in her spot. She pokes his cheek and he's still dead asleep so she opens his mouth with both hands and pokes at his gums. And he still doesn't have fangs. So she sighs and cradles him to her chest as she lays down and falls back asleep.
