Brave had a few cultivators already scout for the Maple Green Sect's headquarters. They arrived as his second sect's illusory array activated and trapped the ten incoming cultivators.
The illusory array's duration would last for three minutes, buying him enough time to hopefully divide his opponent's forces. However, his opponent also had the same idea, and five cultivators skulked on the outside of Brave's base.
Luckily, since Brave had the tiger eye skill, he was able to delegate five cultivators of his own to prepare a sneak attack. They arrived quietly at their location as both of their plans went in motion.
Brave planned on attacking his opponent's cultivators outside of his base, and killing them before sending reinforcements to his Second Sect. His opponent planned on using a fork attack, attacking his second sect first, before killing him in his base.
Since he figured Brave was a noob, he didn't consider Brave would have gotten an inheritance treasure or a skill like tiger eye. He stayed right outside of Brave's visual radius and marched his men right in front of the sect headquarters.
Seeing them arrive, Brave's cultivators active their golden torso technique and used the dragon light movement technique as they approached them. Activating Fire fist, his opponents didn't even have a chance to react!
Unfortunately, Brave didn't consider the type of defense his opponent had produced to stop his body cultivators. A few pills were popped into each of his opponent's cultivators mouths causing their speed to increase by an insane amount.
Brave still fired dragon fist after dragon fist, and with the dragon light movement technique his opponent didn't get any advantage! Still, with the boost from the basic enhancement tablets, his opponent was nearly twenty percent faster than his cultivators.
Losing their hp fast, Brave had no choice but to go through with the second part of his plan. Five of Brave's cultivators charged directly into the Maple Green Sects walls. His opponent could only laugh before they also ran into an illusory array.
"Ha, you really think you were the only one who planned to be attacked?"
"Did you think that I started playing this game yesterday?" Brave received a message, expecting his opponent's response. However, he already had purchased an artificer and had him build wards for this very purpose!
Wards were simple objects, but extremely expensive to make. In order to create a ward, you had to have bronze, silver, and dragon ingots in order to craft them. If you wanted to win a match in Immortal Kingdom, you couldn't be afraid to spend gems!
Putting the wards down in his opponents base, he laughed entering straight into his opponents base.
Seeing that Brave had already acquired an artificer to build wards, he immediately sent his cultivators back from the West Inferno Sect. Both of them had planned for many scenarios, however, his opponent didn't expect that he'd already have wards!
Artificers were one of the most wasteful side professions you could hire. Most top 1000 players wouldn't purchase an artificer until they reached level 30 and had control of half of the map.
However, he once again realized that idiom versing a noob could be your worst nightmare. They didn't follow any strategies, and were like versing an entire different species.
As for Brave, he was somehow in the middle, doing things no top 1000 player would do, but also making very skilled decisions. Brave sent his ten cultivators speeding towards his opponent's base, killing all the miners that charged towards him, heading straight inside of the sect headquarters.
Inside of the room, five cultivators lurked as Kahaya Ienobu angrily ascended from his chair and ran up the stairs before sending his pretty servants to attack. His only option now was to destroy Brave before he was destroyed.
Telling his cultivators to pop down a few expensive pills his alchemist had made, his cultivators strengthen increased. Barreling through Brave's cultivators, he laughed as he heard the mayhem downstairs.
Unfortunately, as he arrived in front of Brave's base, that annoying defensive array activated. Delaying his cultivators by twenty seconds, he could only look at Brave's cultivators charging up the stairs. Bloodlust filled their eyes, and hearts, as Ono Takuya charged straight to the front.
After losing three cultivators to Ienobu's five, his only hope was that his cultivators would make it in time from the West Inferno Sect. However, Brave wouldn't dare let this opportunity go to waste as Takuya's fire fist burst forward.
They traded several attacks before Ienobu's back was to the wall. Seeing his entire future fading away from him, he looked down noticing a message Brave had sent.
"You keep calling me a noob, but you completely underestimated me."
"If this wasn't a game that determined both of our eternities, perhaps I would've let you live. However, now, today, the toad will officially swallow the dragon." Brave sent the message, provoking his opponent during the fight.
"Hm, you don't realize what a true dragon is," His opponent replied, easily kicking away one of Brave's cultivators into the wall.
"I was ranked 999 out of the top 1000 players. As for Shou, he was only ranked 955. When you truly meet a dragon, you'll be nothing but food."
"You are the food, thanks for the meal." Brave sent a smiley face emoji, goading his opponent on. Because of the distraction, he lost sight of one of the cultivators flanking him on his side.
Punching towards Takuya, he looked down feeling a strange feeling pervading through his gut.
Laughing Takuya pulled out a spear that he had gotten from the backsmith. With a simple swipeIenobu's head left his body. Registering his body toppling onto the floor, Brave took a breath of relief.
Brave hadn't expected for his plan to work so smoothly of getting an artificer from the capital. Because of the wards, he didn't have to worry about the cultivators surrounding his base.
Looking into his mental interface, he noticed that he had acquired 10,000 gems, and 500 energy from his opponent bringing his total way up. He couldn't understand what his opponent had been saving up for, and how much he must have underestimated him.
Lively walked into the room he was in, seeing him once again staring at the wall. Her little mouth shivered as she walked up and poked him.
"I'm so sorry to bother you, but something urgent has come up emperor! An envoy from another sect has arrived, and they are asking if you want an alliance…"
