"We aren't idiots, emperor… Just accept our requests and make sure to fill our bellies with wine and women."
"I promise, if we make it past the first round of Immortal Kingdom, each of you will be given your own territory to look after!" Brave accepted their requests to join his sect, and looked around at the mess he had made.
A bar tender looked extremely downcast as she tried to piece together the table they had broken in their squabble. Seeing this, Brave decided to be generous, tossing out a bag of gems at her.
He already had acquired 15,000 gems in the last five hours thanks to his miners working in all three sects at once. At this point, if he even exposed his true riches to these locals, every single one of these villagers might attack him.
Accepting the bag from Brave, the lady caught it and rolled her hand analyzing its texture. Her eyes nearly fell out of her sockets after she found 100 gems in the bag. Looking at Brave's shadow leaving the room, she nearly fell onto the floor and cried tears.
However, many of the villagers of Fire Lock Village were staring at her wondering what was in the bag. She immediately ran to the back room, quitting her job immediately before she fled to another village.
She knew that Brave's generosity had been carefully monitored by quite a few of the patrons. As she road off, a few of them even seemed to follow her before Brave showed up and kicked one of them off their horses.
Picking a beautiful lady off the ground, Brave sighed before tossing her over towards the hired men.
"Ask her which sect she comes from, and to turn of her notifications… If she doesn't, please don't feel afraid to kill her. We can't have our location being found out yet."
"Can I do anything else to get her to talk?" Brave's rogue cultivators looked at the beautiful servant's body, and the thin linen protecting her from the air. Killing intent beamed down on her body, making her feel like a little bug caught in a trap.
"I don't mean any harm. I'm not from a sect you can choose to insult. If you let me go now, perhaps I will be able to ask for an alliance from my master."
"However, if you don't let me go, guarantee that he will come and catch me. He's already told me that I'm his favorite servant, and I've warmed his bed for many nights."
"I don't care if you are his daughter, or his mother! Right now, I'm going to make you turn of your notifications, or you are going to die where you stand!" Brave screamed into her face, causing her face to turn pallid immediately.
Notifications allowed sect members to alert their leader of activity in their area. In the original game, these notifications were autogenerated by an AI that would take in important information about the surroundings.
They were extremely pivotal since contact between emperor and his cultivators and miners was limited. Hence, with the notifications turned off, the emperor from her sect would only see a red dot on the map, and not be able to tell she had been captured.
Taking her back towards his sect on the wild lily tiger, Brave looked at her struggling and kicking her feet. Unfortunately, he couldn't let this lady get away with the information about his rogue cultivators nor the general proximity of his sect.
Frankly, if he didn't have such good vision, he wouldn't seen her at all!
However, when she rushed out as a spy disguised as a robber, Brave spotted a little necklace on the corner of her shoes. As someone who had designed every character, and fabricated every piece of their clothing in code, such a little detail wasn't missed by him.
It had been because of that he had chased after her and caught her! Opening up his mental interface, he quickly built an array sealing prison for 2000 gems, and tossed her inside a cell for safe keeping.
Looking at her crying in the cell, Brave sighed before reaching in and patting her head.
"I'm sorry, but If I let you out right now, you'd run off and my chances of winning this game would decrease to near zero..."
"You really don't think my master will kill you once he finds out I'm in here! He's already scared one sect to burn to the ground, and for its emperor to flee in this direction!"
"Don't you realize that with this crappy place you built, he's going to swallow you hole and drowned out the light!" She glowered at Brave, continuing her speech, "Now, if you send me back with some gifts, perhaps I can ask my master for forgiveness?"
"I can't believe you really think I would fall for that… Have fun in the dark until I return, and ring if you need anything." Brave wasn't cruel, but couldn't remain chatting with a bewitched lunatic.
As for her emperor, who took advantage of a servant three days after meeting her, he already felt his blood boiling!
