I got up; opened the window and felt the sunshine on me.
I went back to the guild to receive the quest info.
I grabbed it and brought it back to the Inn and placed it on my desk as I laid back on the bed for a quick second.
I looked down on my desk and grabbed the quest letter explaining to where to meet for the lecture for the magic students.
They wanted to meet me; and informed me to come to the Magic academy side entrance.
I got up and got dressed for the day; I put on some simple things nothing to fancy.
I left the inn with all my belongings in my store.
I made it out and went west to the market to grab some quick breakfast.
I stopped and grabbed some roasted potatoes; it cost me a simple 10 concs each, Concs where the city's local currency.
I headed northeast to the magic academy.
I made it to the large walls of the academy and began looking for the side entrance; it only took me a quick loop around the large out permitter of the campus until I found it.
I came to the guard standing watch at the gate; and informed him of my reason for the visit and showed the guard the quest and proof of identity.
He had another guard come and take me to meet the teacher in charge of the quest.
I came to a large door that creaked open upon our arrival.
The guard left and left me to the teacher of the magic academy's class B teacher.
He introduced himself as Jeffery Been teacher of class B.
He welcomed and thanked me for taking up the quest to meet the students and introduce them to the life of work in the guilds.
He soon brought me to the lecture hall of his to his waiting class of magic students.
We entered a classroom with a decent size class of 40.
We were welcomed by the students.
The class was quieted down by Jeffery and the teacher informed the class of who I was and what I would be doing today.
A few hands rose and asked what my rank in the guilds was
I informed them that I was a D rank.
The select few started to smicker at thought of a d rank telling them anything useful.
Personal theses children were arrogant and in mind where just going to die one way or another eventually.
I told them some of my stories like crossing through kingdoms and fighting in wars.
I made sure to leave out and "add" some more logical information for there brains
A confident one in the back doubted my stories and said that no d rank would have done the things you said you did.
I said if your so unsure I did those things do you think you could?
He said he could and could do any day.
I found it pretty funny and laughed about how someone as petty as you just trying to impresses some fellow students would die easily.
He was not too happy I should say; he challenged me to a duel in the school's training grounds.
I was too concerned about the angry teen and accepted.
He said to meet him for the fight in 1 hour in the large colosseum.
Within the hour the colosseum seats were filled; it appears that students had a reputation of being a powerful magic wielder.
We went to the opposite of the rings, and announced over the speaker was that there were to be no killings and no permeant damage to the individuals.
The rusty gates keeping us back opened; the student rushed out casting the spell Winter icicles which popped out 15 or so icicles as they charged for me.
I opened a portal and redirected the spell back at him.
He was caught off guard and hit by 2 once piercing his thigh and one in his shoulder.
Without wasting a beat I pulled out a desert eagle for the occasion and a loud ringing and the fire ring effect around the pistol appeared; the student passed out to the shock of a rubber bullet hitting his torso.
Over the loudspeakers after about a 10-second delay announced my victory over the student.
The crowd rumbled with a few people angered over losing bets.
A select few cheered as they betted on both sides and came out positive.
I left after speaking to the teacher for thanking me for teaching some sense into the student and for not severely hurting him.
I walked back to the market to buy some lunch as it was only half-past noon.
I bought a sandwich from a nearby stall and walked to the mercenary guild.
I went to the wall and looked for a quest.
I found on the wall asking for volunteers to join a raid on the Baron of Hishe who has holed himself in his castle and being found guilty of kidnapping and selling commoners to slave dealers and to keep for himself.
Nothing much went through my brain; it was merely me going out to kill a disgusting man and get some practice in sieges.
I informed the receptionist of me acquiring the quest and gave me a paper/notice of where to meet for the march to the castle and how much supplies would need to be brought by the individual person.
I was also informed the contact had a set price of 300 Concs and you would be paid more by how much you killed and their rank.
I went back to the inn.
I paid for another night and went to my room.
I went into my store and decided to relax and looked at the calendar and it was nearing too thanksgiving.
I remorse on some old memories of that day of the year and went back to my room.
I went downstairs to receive myself some of their "home-cooked" "delicious food".
The food cost 15 concs it wasn't a waste but the food from the stalls in the market area would be considered better-tasting depending on who you asked.
I went wandering through the night enjoying the darkness before heading back to my room.
