"What's the problem?" Sid asked rather innocently.
Laurice completely lost it.
The man even has the guts to ask her what the problem is.
'Well, let me tell him! First, he forced himself to send me back. Second, he force himself to freely roam around my house. And now, he was forcing himself on staying over!'
Wait, she seems to have forgotten another thing. Right! The ultimate forceful act, the mind-boggling hug!
'Damn this man is just too open and i'm actually letting him in!??'
'I am already confusing right from wrong.' Laurice thought.
She could not tell if she was only overreacting or overanalyzing everything.
She shook her head while trying to regain back her composure.
Well, she was also unaware that a certain man has her completely wrapped around his little finger.
...
Soon, Laurice opened another door to a room that made Sid stood there in awe. It was her music room, although it wasn't complete yet, it looks pretty decent enough as everything was in place and the room was clean.
Sid wasn't familiar with what he's seeing but he could tell it's on a whole new different level. It isn't a typical music room. It looks more like a professional recording studio instead. There was a desk station the one with a lot of buttons he can never probably learn to operate, and there was one acoustic guitar hanging on the wall but the room is too spacious so he could pretty much guess that there will soon be additions to it, and some other fixtures that he didn't know about such as bass traps and acoustic panels and more. There is a different feel on the room and it's definitely the most modern out of all.
Sid got even curious.
Sid: "... you write music?" He asked the moment he recovered from his shock.
Laurice: "Hmm.. Sometimes, i'm not pretty skilled with recording yet but it isn't bad. When i write songs, i ultimately wanted a melody accompaniment to it so i had this room converted into a home studio."
'She actually does music. Interesting!' Sid thought she was amazing and had this wishful thinking of watching her write music, record her own songs and play it for him. 'Only for him.'
"Do you play?" He asked while looking at the guitar. Although the answer seems pretty obvious, he still wanted to hear from her and who knows, he might actually get lucky if she ever tries playing it now
Laurice: "The acoustic guitar? Yes."
Sid did not reply. He remained silent as if waiting for some miracle. As if urging her to continue.
Laurice chuckled.
Laurice: "Do you want to hear me play?"
Sid unconsciously nodded his head.
'Damn, too careless. He doesn't want to look desperate over such matter. But he really do want to hear her play. To listen to her voice while singing him a song.
Laurice walked over to the guitar and was about to strum the guitar when Sid's phone rang.
He did not picked up immendiately and just stood there waiting.
It rang again and yet again. By then, Laurice had actually asked him to pick it up.
'This nuisance! He just missed his chance! It better be an important call or else!'
He looked at the caller and answered the phone unwillingly.
The person on the other line spoke. 'Young master, we're here. We need our identities confirmed please. Shall we ask young miss to call the guardpost? We've brought everything you've ordered young master.'
Sid: "Wait. Call you back."
Sid was annoyed with the timing but atleast his people have come and prepared everything he asked for.
He turned to Laurice and spoke, "I sent some people over. Can you confirm their identities? They're at village gateway."
Laurice was surprised that Sid actually called some people. She did not know what for but she still quickly called the security to assist her guest to send them over.
Laurice walked towards the man and asked him, "Why did you send some oeople? Did you actually ordered some food?"
Sid: "En."
Laurice: "Oh! I see. But the gate!"
Sid: "I'll handle it. Stay here."
Laurice: "Okay."
They both left the room and started walking away when Sid noticed the last room that he didn't get to see. He was curious so he asked her about it.
"That room is literally empty." Laurice said and did not elaborate as she continued walking downstairs.
Sid felt something was off when he noticed her looked at the room's direction with a blank expression on her face before saying it was completely empty.
'Empty.'
He felt his insides stir. He wanted to see the room, atleast a glance. So he boldly ask her if he could. Laurice seems stunned for a moment and then turned back to open the room for him to see.
Sid was surprised that she was willing to open it for him. He could somehow guess what the room is for with the way she was acting.
And indeed, the room was completely empty. Like a blank canvass. The walls were white. There was only a window on one corner and nothing more.
He guessed right.
'This is definitely a room for her to paint.'
But why was it left empty? Like it was somehow abandoned to such extent. 'If it did not serve any purpose then why was there such vacant room?'
He pondered.
All he know was that her father was a painter and that they have lost contact with each other for years. Was it somehow related to that? Sid's eyes deepened as he stare at the woman's back who was now heading downstairs.
...
A few moments passed.
There were four people in total including Butler Han who came to her house.
The butler did not dare mention anything about the gate issue so as to not offend his young master. He just ordered the rest of the servants to send all their purchases inside the house.
Laurice's eyes widened with the purchases.
There were all sorts of grocery items. From condiments to spices, dried herbs, meat, vegetables, fruits and more!
It was like an entire month's supply that could fill her pantry completely. And there were even some cutleries and saucers, plates, mugs, glasses and all sorts of tableware included in the bags as well!
Laurice: " ... !!! "
She was about to rant when Butler Han spoke, "We've also brought cooked food from the villa young master, young miss. Please enjoy the meal while it's still hot."
Laurice shot Sid with a look that seemed to be asking him if she has grown horns.
