The car sped past through trees and buildings and finally stopped in front of a restaurant, not to classy, not to flashy but had it's own charm.
The restaurant is designed as forest themed which would give one the feeling of having food in the middle of the woods. Sam was always an natural person who prefers trees, wind and a quiet evening than partying with the humans.
Sam turned to look at the guy beside her wondering if he likes this kind of setting too or he knew she likes it this way. If that's the case then how? A lot of questions have been swirling around her head that she lost her footing and fell.
She waited for the pain to come but it didn't. She opened her tightly shut eyes open and found herself clinging onto Ben. She withdrew her hands like lightning hit her and turned her head away from him to hide her cheeks which has now turned scarlet due to embarsssment and shyness.
"Haha.. Your welcome" Ben said enjoying the fact that he made her shy.
"I I am sorry. It was a reflex." Sam said while trying to act as cool and composed as possible.
"I like it"
"Like what?" Sam asked with question mark plastered all over her face.
"Your reflexes. If not for it, I would have mistake myself as an monk"
It took her several seconds to realise what he was talking about. After knowing what he meant, she couldn't control her laughter and burst out laughing.
"Haha.. haha... really? a monk? Are you that weak Mr. Ben?
"Hold on to me a little longer next time Ms. Sam and you'll know how weak my self control is against you."
Her cheeks burned at his comment and she felt she was going to get caught on fire with all the hotness.
"Let's go" with that he locked her fingers with his own and starting pulling her with him. Sam looked at their now intertwined fingers and wished time would freeze and stop.
When she arrived at their table she was awestruck to see the scenery around them. Trees covered the entire place which looked it has not end. Perfect lighting which resembled setting sun and the sounds of birds, wild animals and waterfalls, she felt as though she made a trip to Amazon (The heaven on earth for her) There was even a camp fire next to their table which she felt ...romantic.
Ben lead her to their table and pulled a chair out for her like a gentleman. Sam thanked him and resumed to looked around the scenries around her. Ben chuckled at her behavior and let her do what she wishes while he stared at her.
She felt his gaze on her and turned her head to look at him. She suddenly regretted turning her head. His gaze was as sharp as a knife stabbing right through her chest and teasing her heart like a feather.
"You like peace and silence too. Huh?" He asked brawling her off from her la la land.
"Yeah" she replied and silence engulfed them. Before either of them could say something the waiter came with the menu.
"Good evening Mr. Ben, Miss."
Ben asked her opinion and made quite a few orders.
"Do they know you?" Sam find of felt like they know Ben in person and was so respectful towards him.
"Yes, of course. I visit this place often." Ben lied through his teeth. The truth is, he is owner of this restaurant and it comes under one of the hotels under his family. He is afraid that she would distance herself from him if she knows he was one of those rich brats like her boyfriend.. Oops.. Ex-boyfriend.
