After a nice dinner they both left the restaurant hand in hand. When they reached the lobby, they met the last person they want to see.
Andrew Williams holding the hands of a woman who was in her early 20's walked in. As soon as, he saw Sam with another man his hold on the woman's hand tightened and his eyes turned dark.
Sam was still unaware of the deadly glare someone is giving her continued to talk with Ben without a care in the world. She was looking at Ben with a loving gaze that triggered An's anger.
When the Couple were about to pass him, he stood in front of them and blocked their path. Both of them stopped and turned around to look how it was. Sam stiffened the moment she saw Andrew. She didn't know until now that she is still in love with him.
Ben noticed her uneasiness and pretended not to know who Andrew is.
"Excuse me, Sir. Please step aside." Ben trued to sound as calm as possible but his insides were burning with anger sensing the effect he has on Sam.
"Never thought you to be that kind of women, my dear." Andrew said a sly smile hanging in his lips.
"Sir. Mind your language." Ben almost lost his cool when he heard his words.
Sam tightened her grip to make Ben look at her and slowly shook her head. She turned her attention back to Andrew and smiled which didn't reach her eyes.
"I am sorry Mr. An. I don't think you're no longer qualified to call me 'dear'. Everything we had ended last night."
"Ended? You were just waiting for me to end this relationship so that you can be with this guy, right? Why are you blaming me when you are the same as me."
"Whether it is true or not, I don't have to prove it to you. I hope we end everything here and not interfere in each others life in the future."
"Let's go" With that she walked out pulling Ben with her.
"She is lot better than you. Atleast she only has me." An shouted tried to get the attention of the couple.
Sam stopped in her tracks. Looking back she had a provoking look.
"At least I am lot better than you having only one behind your back."
After the couple left, Andrew went bizarre and broke everything he saw in the lobby. He threw cash as compensation and left the restaurant without looking back at the woman he brought with him.
They reached the parking lot with their hands still intertwined together. Sam signed in relief to only realise she had been holding her breath till now.
"That was not bad" Ben said to reduce the awkwardness.
"Did I do well?" Sam was worried that she might have shown her real feelings in front if him.
"You did great. But make it true as soon as possible. I don't know how long I can hold it in."
As expected Sam burst out laughing putting everything that happened earlier in the back of her head. Putting her hands around his neck she said
"Mr. Ben have heard you of the saying 'Slow and steady wins the race'"
Ben's face lost it's cheerfulness as he continued staring her.
"Wait for me. I'll open up" Sam said as she titled her head to leave a peck on both of his cheeks. Pulling her closer,
"Ms. Sam"... he stopped to peck her left cheek and continued "...it better pay well in the future" finished by kissing her right one.
Sam blushed and turned red from tip of the ear to neck.
