Chapter 486 - Power Pole 2.0

After the break started everyone quickly dispersed to quickly finish whatever business they had so the fights could resume. But as the majority of the spectators were waiting in line for the bathrooms and stalls, one could hear numerous conversations as the people talked about the tournament.

"Dude! Did you see the way that Rana chick went berserk?!? I think I'm in love!"

"I'm betting my money on the old man Wukong winning it all! Experience beats out brute strength any day!"

"What!? Come on! Pikkon's got this tournament in the bag! The dude shattered a planet with a single punch!"

"You're a complete moron if you think the Kaoi-Ken is better than the Super Saiyan!"

"And YOU'RE just a stupid simp for Saiyans! Pikkon with the Kaio-Ken would wipe the entire tournament with one hand behind his back!"

These conversations and arguments over which technique or fighter was better were taking place everywhere as the people tried to hurry up their business. While a certain group was reacting to the tournament in their own way, as they excitedly ran up and down the halls of the colosseum.

"HA! I use a energy blast to blow you all away!"

"Well I turned into a Super Saiyan, and blocked it!"

"RA! I'm a vampire that's gonna suck your blood, trash!"

Numerous children were running around as they pretended to be the different people they thought were cool from the tournament. One kid who was fairly short ran around with a foam sword while pretending to be Gas, another stuck his hair up and out as he pretended he was Goku, and a little girl was running around acting as if she were trying to suck their blood to try and be a vampire like Kokoa.

As they and others eagerly discussed the matches they had seen so far, a certain figure with relatively plain features watched on with a warm smile on his face. He was in fact, Sun Wukong.

Using one of his transformation techniques to remain anonymous, Wukong was watching to gauge the general reaction to the tournament so far, and liked what he was seeing.

While he did agree somewhat with Piccolo and the others about how unnecessarily showy and gaudy this tournament was, Wukong also understood the reason for it as well. After all, the whole point of this tournament was to display to the people of the universe and beyond just how powerful the average person could make themselves, and to throw away the belief that there was a limit to what a person could achieve.

Most of all, it was to inspire the younger generations to grow and pursue dreams that they would've otherwise been unable or unwilling to. Now, seeing people who could perform feats that would be widely regarded as 'impossible', such as flying, being super strong, and using energy, children and those who dreamed of performing similar feats all over the universe would learn that they too could do it.

And as he watched the children play Wukong smiled while envisioning what the future had in store, before a certain someone arrived.

"Look! It's Goku!" One of the children cried out, drawing everyone's gazes to the Saiyan as he arrived.

"Woah!" Goku exclaimed as he was suddenly surrounded by a ton of people, before he adopted a troubled expression as they tired to ask for his autograph and other favors.

Not quite sure how to deal with crowds, Goku was trying to figure out how to politely ask them to leave him alone, when an old man with a plain looking face arrived and told them, "Leave him be! Can't you see yer suffocating the poor man!?"

Goku looked to the old man like he was his savior before escaping the crowds, who for some reason listened to him as they dispersed. Approaching, the Saiyan gratefully said,

"Thanks for that!" The plain looking man nodded as he replied,

"Not a problem, but I would recommend learning to disguise yourself if you don't people to recognize you." As he said that the man's figure began to shimmer with a golden light, before it shattered to reveal none other than Goku's next opponent, Sun Wukong.

"Hey! You're the old man who fought that cat guy!" Goku exclaimed in shock as he recognized Wukong, making the old man chuckle as he said,

"You're forgetting, I'm also your next opponent." Goku just smirked when he heard that, before stating,

"I know! I'm looking forward to it!" The Saiyan's expression then turned to that of a battle junkie, ready to face his next opponent with no hesitation or holds barred as he anticipated the match between himself and this old man.

A similar expression appeared on Wukong's face as he anticipated fighting against the young man before him. He didn't know why but, aside from their names, the young man in front of him reminded Wukong A LOT of himself when he was younger. He was even considering taking him on as a disciple after the tournament was over if he was interested, the first after Alex in fact.

(A.N. For those who are unaware, Goku is the Japanese translation of Wukong's name.)

Meanwhile in the infirmary, Krillin began to stir as he awoke from the short nap inflicted onto him by his and Rana's last attack.

Sitting up, Krillin was wondering just how long he'd been out when a a shriek startled him.

"Kyaaaaa! He's awake!" Looking up sharply, Krillin saw a trio of cute women circling his bed with expressions varying from concern to excitement as they chattered. His confusion growing, Krillin asked them hesitantly,

"And who are you guys?" The girl that cried out before, who the other two seemed to defer to, blushed heavily while avoiding eye contact with Krillin as she said,

"I'm Ribrianne, leader of Universe Two's Kamikaze Fireballs that came to escort lady Heles!" As she said that the rest of the girls also hurriedly introduced themselves as Roasie and Kakunsa, before all three stated at once,

"""We're your biggest fans!!!"""

Krillin's expression slackened when he heard that, his thoughts indiscernible from his expression, before he uttered, "Either that last hit killed me and I finally ended up in heaven, or she hit my head worse than I thought..."

Though the trio didn't know what Krillin was talking about, they could see that he didn't believe them. So the leader of the Kamikaze Fireballs, Ribrianne, quickly said,

"Really! We're all your fans! Not only are you strong, but your bald head, no nose, and pleasingly simple features...." As she got to that point Ribrianne trailed off, annoying Krillin at how they dug at his looks, as he stated irritably,

"Look, if you want to make fun of how I look there's better-"

"YOU'RE JUST SO GORGEOUS!" Ribrianne suddenly cried out, silencing anything else Krillin might have said as his mind went blank.

Though his fist instinct was to immediately deny that he was 'gorgeous', and that the three girls were simply making fun of him, anything he might've said about it died in his throat as he watched all three of them squeal and blush deeply like a group of maidens.

...

Their squeals were so loud, that the trio of women were soon reprimanded by the nurses in charge of the infirmary, while another one of the contenders sent there opened his eyes as he too awoke.

"I lost...." Granolah uttered to himself in a lifeless voice, to which Oatmeel replied,

"Yes you did, one sidedly at that. Maybe next time you'll stick to assassination instead of entering an asinine tournament." Granolah smiled in a self deprecating manner at Oatmeel's biting comment, before scowling as he recalled that it was a Saiyan he lost to.

Not just any Saiyan, but one that directly contributed to the death of his people, and his mother.

As Granolah clenched his fists in frustration of how strong the targets of his revenge were, not to mention Frieza himself, the door to the infirmary opened suddenly to admit the one who sent him there in the first place, Bardock.

Murderous intent poured off of Granolah as he glared at the Saiyan, who made a beeline straight for him when he found him.

"We need to talk Granolah." Bardock said as he approached the bed, to which the Cerealian snarled,

"We don't have anything to talk about Saiyan!"

Despite the hostility shown at him though, Bardock didn't react as he simply asked, "How's Monaito these days? The old man still kicking?"

Granolah shot up in shock when he heard the name of the Namekian who raised him since the day his people, and mother, were slaughtered.

"How do you know Monaito!?" Granolah demanded as numerous thoughts raced through his head, none of which were good.

Bardock sighed at how troublesome this was, and was about to explain the whole story to Granolah, when a new voice said,

"Bardock is the one who save you and your mother from the slaughter, and left you in my care afterwards." The duo turned in shock to see the Namekian Bardock had just referred to standing there, looking tired after the long and rushed flight he'd just gotten off of.

"Monaito?!" Granolah exclaimed with surprise, as the Namekian in question slowly approached them and said,

"I'm glad to see you're doing well after your defeat Granolah, and I am truly glad to see you again Bardock. We were told all of the Saiyans died years ago from a meteor strike." Bardock scoffed when he heard that, before stating irritably,

"It wasn't a meteor strike, but Frieza himself who wiped us out, and almost all of us did die. Only. A handful of Saiyans who weren't on planet Vegeta at the time survived, including my sons." Granolah looked at Bardock in surprise, not knowing they had been betrayed and killed by Frieza as well, but then he was confused as he asked,

"Then why are there so many Saiyans running around Pangea then?" Bardock smirked this time as he said,

"The Dragon Emperor brought a few of us back from death, and made contact with a planet of Saiyans that still existed in another universe. Six months ago the only ones left were my son Kakarot, and the former Prince Vegeta." Both Monaito and Granolah looked up sharply when Bardock mentioned Alex bringing him back from the dead, as the latter exclaimed,

"He can do that!?! Do you think he'll bring back my people?!!" Bardock shook his head though, and stated,

"You can ask, but I doubt it. He won't jump because someone asked him to do something, and I don't know what the specifics of his abilities are." As he said that though, the gleam in Granolah's eyes didn't fade as he saw hope to see his mother again for the first time, while Monaito didn't see any good coming from this.

In another part of the colosseum, a certain goddess was making her way through the halls with a specific destination in mind. She had brought a group of fighters from her universe with her for the day to act as her escort, but after seeing one of the matches they took off to go and meet the man who had fought in it.

Now Heles, the goddess of Destruction for Universe Two, was also going to meet a man.

This man was remarkably different from the one her escorts went to go see though, in almost every aspect. Of course, Heles' escorts were from a planet with markedly different standards of beauty from the rest of the universe, as they had collectively considered someone like Alex as 'disgustingly ugly' despite him being the most beautiful man Heles had ever seen.

And Heles definitely had no intention of letting a man as beautiful as him slip away from her without a fight.

So, the goddess opened the door to Alex's private VIP room to try and use her charms on him, only to find the entire room engulfed in a haze of lust and sex. Naked bodies littered the room as they tangled themselves up in one another, with a certain Saiyan covered in red fur at the center of them all.

"Heles. To what do I owe the pleasure?" Alex asked as he turned to face her, even as he continued fucking Kurumu's mouth and throat.

The goddess however was stunned silent as she took in the scene around her, in which no one minded her presence as they continued indulging in their debauchery.

"Ehem!" She coughed after a moment, as if trying to clear her throat, before saying,

"I was wondering if I may be able to spectate the tournament alongside yourself, seeing as my escorts abandoned me to see to one of the other contestants..." Heles trailed off at the end of her request, as she notice that three of the women partaking in the debauchery were angels as well, Vados, Marcarita, and Kusu.

"Is that so?" Alex asked as he pulled the entire length of his cock out of Kurumu's throat, allowing Heles to see it in all its glory for the first time.

Her entire body then stiffened as Alex began approaching her with his erect cock still out, coated in saliva and other fluids from its previous exploits, until he came to a stop directly in front of her.

"I'll give you a choice then Heles." He said suddenly drawing the goddess away from her admiration of his body, as she looked up at him. Alex then continued, "Either you walk out that door by the time it closes, or you get down onto your knees."

The door that had been left open behind Heles then began to close slowly of its own accord, beginning the time limit Alex gave her to make her decision. But even as the opportunity to leave dwindled she didn't even look back at the door, her heart pounding in her chest the entire time as she looked the Saiyan in the eyes.

He was big, unimaginably powerful with limitless potential, and most of all, he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen. As someone who checked every single box she had Heles couldn't leave even if she wanted to, not to mention the fact that he was said to potentially increase in power and status beyond even the omni King.

So, with more reasons to stay than not, Heles didn't budge a single inch until the door slammed shut behind her with more force than it should have, and Alex said,

"Times up Heles."

So, the goddess slowly began to kneel down until she was on her knees, and she wordlessly opened her mouth to do as the Dragon Emperor wanted.

...

When the fifteen minutes given for the intermission came to an end everyone rushed back to their seats as the next match was about to begin. Meanwhile the two contestants made their way to the arena together as they had been happily talking, but were now prepared to fight.

As he approached the mouth of the tunnel though, Goku paused as he saw something leaning up against the wall that drew his eye.

It was a five foot long red pole with golden decorations adorning its body and ends, with a piece of paper stuck to it that read,

'Goku,

I thought you might want something to replace the Power Pole you used when you were younger, so I had this prepared. Be careful though, it's heavy.'

With no indication of who it was from, Goku hesitantly gripped the staff around the middle before lifting it, surprising him at the weight especially, as well as how perfectly it felt in his hand.

His uncertain expression soon shifted to a smile though as, despite its insane weight, Goku twirled the staff in his hands to test it, before suddenly gripping it with the other hand as well as he made a strike.

"It's perfect!" He exclaimed to nobody in particular, though Wukong was watching the entire thing, and was fairly certain who it was that had given Goku the staff, as well as the other things it was capable of as he glanced at his own.

"If you're finished testing her out, I think we have a match to fight~" Wukong said playfully as he turned back towards the arena, while Goku hurriedly caught up to him.

The two men, both with monkey tails and wielding staves, walked out into the arena together as the audience applauded their entrance, and the announcer cried out,

"AND WE ARE BACK LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"

(A.N. So I'm not sure how many of you have checked it out, but I have another series call 'The Dungeon Diver'. Thanks to the fact I've received no feedback on it though, I've considered deleting the chapters and changing it to another fanfic(thanks to issues with Webnovel in letting me create another series). It'll be a Pokemon fic that'll be secondary for me to write on, and will mostly be for me to shift focus when I'm experiencing a block on this one. Let me know what you think.)
