Yaya's POV
"Hah," I sigh again, thinking of how those girls are doing. Today is the first day of school for them, but not me. Human college starts a few days later so here I am moping around, worrying about those too confident sisters of mine. Actually, they have the ability to back up their confidence but this is a whole new environment so I can't help but be more worried than usual. If it was any where else, haha, they could act like the princesses they are. But this planet, it's too complex for us to let them know about us.
From what we've found so far, the people would definitely panic if we let them know about us. The majority would think we're dangerous aliens here too takeover, the government and army are too distrustful to believe we come in peace, they'd definitely attack us, the underworld would take the chance to do more bad things. In simpler terms, the world would go into a state of chaos, and countless people would parish in that chaos.
"Yaya," aunty May's voice snaps me out of my depressing thoughts.
"Yes aunty May?"
"We have guests. A handsome man and a little girl."
"Oh, that must be Garrick and Hope. I have a play date with Hope." I quickly got up and started walking towards the front door.
"Oh, before I forget, could you get some of your cinnamon rolls and put them into the piano room, Aunty May? I'm going to teach Hope how to play the piano today."
I had promise Hope I would teach her the piano in the mornings before she went to preschool on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and the weekend. Those days were the days I don't have morning classes so it was convenient.
"Of course. I'll get some tea and milk for the little one too. I have to say, Yaya, I'm glad I finally got to meet your first two friends. I can tell they're good people."
"Mmm. I think they're good people too Aunty May. And yes, please bring some honey tea and milk for us, too. Thank you."
I smile, thinking about Hope's precious smile. She's a great little girl. I'm glad she likes me.
"Hello Hope, Garrick. Let's head directly to the piano room. We can talk more comfortably there. Is that alright?"
"I'm fine with it, how about you Hope?" Garrick smiles at me before looking down at Hope, who was looking around still. She nods her head after looking around one more time.
As I lead them to the piano room, I tell them about the plan for this morning.
"Since Hope is a beginner, the first thing I'm going to teach her is the basic notes and keys on the piano, along with some simple rhythms and songs for beginners. If we have time, maybe we could practice "Twinkle Little Star" and play it for you when you come pick her up tonight. How does that sound, Hope?"
'Wonderful' Hope smiles sweetly at me.
I smile back thinking, today isn't going to be as lonely as I thought it would be after all.
