"Uh.... My head hurts"

'Where is this place.'Even after looking around for a good amount of time , I still can't remember seeing this place before.

I can see that I am lying in middle of the road . The area looks somewhat like countryside.

Even though it's a new place for me, somehow it feels strongly familiar.

Tall fruit trees are on one side of the road while red, blue, green, white, yellow, black and purple coloured flowers of different species are growing on another side of the road .

There are mountains in the distance which are shining brightly under sunlight and giving a sharp metallic luster. One look and anyone will get mesmerized by the beautiful scenery of this place.

"Now then , how come I was lying in the middle of the road like a wood log ?"

If I remember correctly I was shopping with my little sister and then we entered a book store and then.....

"Huh! Why can't I remember anything after that?"

I try hard to concentrate more but still am not able to remember anything. I look along the path hoping to see where it leads.

But both front and back looks exactly same. For now I start walking along the road to see if I can find anyone .

While admiring the scenery as I walk down the road I start thinking about the plots of different anime and novels.

Strangely I can remember each and every ability of characters and even more clearly than in the past but I can't remember my normal daily life.

Thinking about this matter I travelled about 2km before finding something. At first I thought it was end of the road but upon reaching closer I found that it was a dome structure of radius about 150m . It looked as if it was made of crystals.

There is a path which goes straight to the door of the dome and another which looked like it was circling the dome.

Out of curiosity I begin walking along the second path. To my surprise there is a similar door and road on which I travelled on. Almost as if made symmetrically.

I begin to approach the door to see if I can find anything. The door was neither small nor big. It was bigger than normal door present in the houses or offices but not large enough to call it 'large door' .

The door is pitch black in colour but I can't I identify the metal. It looks beautiful and sturdy at the same time. Quite a bit difficult combination if you consider it.

There is no design or words imprinted on the door apart from a cavity in the centre of the door which looks like a handprint.I tried to put my hand on it but it was smaller than my hand.

"Brother....."

Just when I was thinking what to do I suddenly heard a voice calling me. I turned back to look and found that my little sister was calling to me.

I approached her excitedly and hugged her tightly. As she is quite short for her age, she immediately got picked up by me. Somehow when I saw her it felt like I had seen her after ages.

It always has been only two of us together since our parents died in an airplane crash five years ago. We had taken care of each other's needs so it can be said that we know each other better than we know ourselves.

"Let go! let go! Put me down you stupid brother"

She started shouting after a minute. I put her down and asked her how did she came here. Her experience was almost same as mine as she also don't remember how did came to this place.

But there was one thing which she remembered more than me that we talked to a strange fellow in the book store.

"Brother, you said that there is another door on the other side of the dome, right ?"

"Yes, but I didn't inspect anything around that door. Maybe there is similar cavity on that door as well. We need to check that door too."

'If that door has some words or symbols , we can get some clue about this unknown area and this strange dome. We need to find where we are and go to home quickly. I don't want to miss my anime shows.'

While I was still in my thoughts , suddenly there was a rumbling sound. Looking around I found that the ground was shaking violently. Moreover my sister is not standing beside me. She was near the black metal door with her right hand on the cavity.

"Brother… I, I can't remove my hand."

I started freaking out upon hearing what she said. I ran near her to see what was going on.

Golden lines starts coming out ground and they were climbing on the surface of the dome.

Countless thick lines were quickly forming different shapes. Some looked like runes while other looked like different celestial bodies.

As they grew upwards, the lines started merging into the shapes of various kind of creatures, normal or mythical, all kinds were present.

But strangely each of the runes, celestial bodies and creatures were only half finished. When the golden lines reached the top they formed a half figure of a man.

When all the things were half drawn, my sister was able to withdraw her hand from the door. Right after she withdrew her hand we both heard a voice.

'Ting...Dome Unlocking Process 50% completed'

We both we stunned.

"Dome unlocking process? Does that mean the cavity on the door is for unlocking the doors of the dome?"

"It seems like that. Brother, didn't you said that there is another door on the opposite side of the dome. Let's go and check it out."

And right after saying that she started running while pulling my hand. She's always like this sometimes mature and sometimes childish. That's why I have to look after her all the times.

We ran around the dome and reached the metal door on the other side. This time I went near the door to properly look at it. I found a similar cavity on this door as well albeit bigger than the other door

"It looks like you will need to put your hand on this door, brother. My hand is not large enough to fit the gap."

Saying so she turned around and looked at me with puppy eyes. Even though I know she is just acting I still can't start scolding her as I initially planned for her reckless actions about touching the doors without discussing. Really, she knows me all too well.

I sighed and walked towards her. After lightly flicking her head I went towards the door. I raised my hand towards the cavity.

"I am letting you off lightly time. Don't act recklessly again or you are in for a good punishment"

She stuck her tounge slightly, closing one eye and tilting her head a little, she said "Teehee..."

"Don't 'Teehee' me"

After that I placed my had inside the cavity and it fit near perfect. I am also excited to see what will happen.

The same rumbling sound came and afterwards the golden lines started coming out of the ground and started completing the semi complete runes, celestial bodies and creatures. The dome started to look more and more beautiful as the golden lines kept going upwards.

Finally the golden lines reached the man at the top and as soon as the figure of that man became complete a blinding light flashed from the surface of the dome.

After the light died, a sound came from the dome.

'Ting...Dome Unlocking Process 100% complete. Opening the doors.'

The metal door started moving upwards and opened completely. But neither me nor my sister were paying any attention to it as our both of were totally mesmerized by the beauty of the dome.

The creatures looked as if they were alive, the celestial bodies were moving in small area and the runes were moving all around the dome as if they were fishes swimming in water. The figure of the man at the top was too captivating.

After looking this scene, me and my sister, we both can say that it is the most beautiful and mystical thing that we have seen in our life.

After regaining my senses, I turned to look at my sister and saw that she was also looking at me. We both smiled and held each others hand.

"Are you excited ?"

"Yes, I am, brother."

"Then, let's go"

And the two of us, I, Tanaka Kouki and my little sister, Tanaka Koyori, took our steps towards the opened gate, which were also the steps which changed our whole lives.
