Chapter 122 - ...the gang

"It will be okay alright." She said again. Not giving him time to respond she finally dashed out to go get what she was so happy about.

.

Four days later and Su Yan was subjected to staying at home till the issue at the sight resolved itself, he hoped. He had Woo Jin be his eyes while he stayed out of sight and hopefully out the minds of those looking to make work difficult for him.

Orange was doing great, the weekly reports showed they made an increase in sales over twenty percent and an average of seven new customers daily.

That was the only thing that felt right with him, and Tale. She was finally healing properly and didn't have to wear a bandage any more.

If there was anything Su Yan had learnt is to let Tale do what she wants and that was why his bedroom was now turned into a mini cinema room

Tale had bought a mini projector that looked to be about ten years old for she had to slap it to work.

She got it really cheap she explained on the first night.

Her frown had deepened when he had suggested they get a new one entirely.

His house lacked any form of entertainment so letting Tale bring in some of that was easy for him and only logical since this was temporarily her home too.

"What's on your mind big fella?" Tale asked as she entered into his library that evening.

Su Yan looked up dropping the paper he was holding on to. "You," he said simply to see her reaction. She didn't disappoint him as she smiled shyly before taking a seat on the sofa.

"I can't be the reason you have a frown on your face?" She said boldly.

"Why not?"

"Because I'm a delight," they both laughed at the remark. "So what's going on now?"

"Work stuff," he said trying not to bore her with details.

"Go on!"

He forgot she never quits. "My workers are really having a hard time working smoothly and any and all delay could extend our work time by over a month."

"Maybe that's what you need."

His frown showed his confusion.

Tale stood up and walked to his side. Small hands rested on his shoulders as she started featherlike movements delivering well needed massage.

"What you see is delay which is what it is actually but think about it. This will give you time to rethink your strategies as well as your approach to situations to things you now expect." She moved to his hand massaging the length of it. "This issues you didn't see them coming so they all threw you off guard but now you know what you could possibly deal with it. Take a break and that overwhelming feeling will be eased up."

Su Yan heard most of what she said but that wasn't what filled his mind right now. Because she was now standing in between him and his desk, he rested his head on her tummy hugging her waist as she stroked his hair.

"You'll be alright I promise. As long as you've got me and Woo Jin and Precious."

"The Gang." Su Yan smiled

"I guess you can call us that." Tale laughed.

Su yan stayed a little longer where he rested, he never got to do this with anyone and he knew he never will because he always had to be the strong one, emotionally and physically. His ex was that way. He could be suffering and she wouldn't blink a care his way. But vulnerability was easy with Tale, she never judged him or saw him less of a man for being that way and on days like this he realizes that leaving home to come so far away wasn't a bad idea at all.

"Do you miss home?" Tale asked after a minute silence.

Home? Su Yan thought. He missed his family and by that his little sister. "Why do you ask?"

"Because I'm thinking maybe you can take a trip to rest and recharge," she said.

He realized there was still so much Tale was yet to understand about the Zhang family.

He will be back in a suit and attending meetings on meeting the minute he got back. Rest was a foreign word.

"Did I say something wrong?" Tale asked.

"No you didn't. He pulled back taking her hands in his and kissing them. I love it here, with you and our nosy best friends," he assured her.

"Ok."

"I will go home when my work is done," he said with a pang of sadness. When his work was done here what next for him? He never had a plan after this, he believed things will work themselves out or he moved back home but then Tale entered the mix and he's been taking it one day at a time.

"Go get dressed, we going out,"

"Where are we going?"

"Somewhere you don't know. Dress code, anything goes!"

"We going out, wanna come with?"Tale announced to Precious who was watching what was her fourth movie for the day.

"Where are we going?"

"The Night market!" Tale sounded excited.

"Give me five," Precious jumped up excited.

Tale laughed. She walked slowly up the stairs giving Su Yan a head start on changing out of his clothes. It's not weird she haven't seen him...

"What are you doing?" Su Yan raised his brows at her when he opened the door to see her standing there lost in thought.

"Waiting for you to get done dressing up," she walked past him shutting the door behind her as quickly as she could.

She opted for a dress and cardigan for it was a bit chilly tonight. The rainy season was close and it showed. There were only two of that in Nigeria. You either got the rainy season or the dry season.

Su Yan called Woo Jin from the car when they drove out of the estate. Speaking Mandarin he asked how the work of the day had been and how long before he got back home.

"Will you teach me how to speak your language anytime soon?" Tale asked.

"Sure, you teach me yours,"

"Deal,". Tale nodded in agreement.

"Can you both make future plans later and keep your eyes on the road," Precious spoke from the back seat of the car,"

"The gang huh," Tale smirked.

Su Yan shrugged before laughing at the remark.
