"Colonel Briggs!" General Philip Brunts said, "Call those four over. You know who I'm talking about."
"Sir, yes, sir!" Briggs gladly replied then saluted his commander. Strangely though, when he moved, he saw someone else salute at the same time, matching his movement.
"Permission to speak, sir!" the other man who saluted said.
For a moment, Philip Brunts was stunned. Asking for permission to speak at this time? But why? Amused, the general cocked an eyebrow and replied, "Granted. Speak!"
The man nodded firmly and explained, "I also have a promising private amongst my ranks. In fact, most of us here do, if not everyone."
After those words were said, the commanders standing in formation all stomped their right leg as a form of their agreement.
