"Dad, can you read the story to me one more time?" a boy about eight or nine years old said happily while sitting on his bed.
The man with long, black hair tied in a ponytail sighed. He approached the little boy, sat beside him, and patted his teeny tiny head, "Okay, but this is the last time for today. It's already late."
The boy's eyes sparkled with excitement and anticipation. He acknowledged his father's words merrily, kicking his feet up and down in uncontained mirth.

Humans from back then had no control over fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning—the five elements.
However, during the War of the Gods three millenniums ago, when half of our planet, Earth, was destroyed, a Goddess descended.
The Goddess of Magic, Hecate.
She took pity on the planet that was caught up in their war, powerless to defend itself.
She then proclaimed amongst the remaining people, 'The burden of the mother should be borne by her children, and her children's burden should be borne by her.'
The goddess took a piece of her heart and planted it inside the planet's core.
New life blossomed from the dying planet, and it was once again filled with vitality!
Shortly after, the Goddess Hecate died. She became one with the planet she saved.
Along with the restoration of the planet, a new power emerged.
Among the remaining people of the Earth, those who were deemed worthy by the soul of Goddess Hecate were bestowed the power to control one of the elements.

The long-haired man stared off into space, not realizing that even he himself was absorbed in his own storytelling. When he came to his senses, he looked at the boy beside him.
He was already sound asleep.
The man slowly stood up, put the candle out with a soft blow, and quietly opened the door. Before leaving the room, he looked back at his son. Under his breath, he whispered...
"You're going to be an amazing mage one day."
The man's loving smile disappeared into the shadows.
The door shut lightly.
….
Ten years later.
A teenager with a long, black hair tied in a ponytail stood proudly outside the city's Magic Academy.
It was finally time to start his legacy.
He walked in, beaming with confidence.
