Aeon was well aware that he was now completely overextending his stay. His chances of eliminating the opponent in front of him while alone were almost gone. After a few more minutes, more enemies would pour in, and he had no way of stopping them.
However, Aeon had no plans of leaving just yet.
The enemy in front of him gave him a different vibe. His instincts were telling him to eliminate this threat while he still had the advantage. If given the freedom, this enemy would cause them more harm and it might endanger their retreating unit.
Holding back was no longer an option. Aeon wanted to save some energy in order to create some sort of reversal later on, but he felt that if he underestimated the enemy even further, he would be the one to truly suffer. Going all out at the start of a battle was risky because if he failed, he would have no more energy left to escape. But then again, he had to do it. He had to believe that he would eliminate the enemy somehow.
