"Is she a vampire?" his eyebrows meet each other as he looks at his monitor, it's been days that he's been monitoring Adelia who was claiming to be Clara fearing that she would run away with her debt not being paid and this woman was not even going out of her house even sunlight can't get inside her messy darkroom.
A small laugh escapes his thin lips as he watches her face distorts as she realizes that she accidentally puts the chalk she was holding onto her mouth instead of the bread that was on her other hand. "She could pass as my entertainer" he mutters 'Maybe I could offer that if she doesn't want to pay money?' he thought.
Rummaging through her pack notes that were scattered on the floor, her eyes shift immediately as she feels that someone is monitoring her 'Is there a ghost in here?' she asks herself as she closes her eyes and breathes in deeply. When she opens her eyes she squints them and intently looks at her laptop that was open showing a document that full of her words from her imagination. 'Yes, that's the problem' she thought as she walks to her laptop slowly.
"You are the reason why I feel someone is monitoring me" accusing her innocent laptop that was just showing her thousands of words.
"But don't worry!" she smiles brightly as she pulls out a crumpled paper on her side "I got an answer for that!" she happily announced as she opens it and laughs when she sees the random phrases written on it. "You are such a lifesaver!" Clara looks at it as if the paper saves her life.
After scanning the few words written on a scratch paper her eyes change as her fingers start dancing on the keyboard of her laptop.
With a lollipop in his mouth, his hand was working nonstop as the numbers and letters keep floating on his screen in a matter of seconds. "98, 99, you are finished" this was the first word that came out from his mouth on this day. In just a second, tons of articles continuously popping up into his monitors except for one, his gray eyes wanders to the monitor where she was in. A frown was shown on his face upon seeing how busy and determined the look of the woman across his monitor, he unconsciously looks at the wooden clock that was blaring as a sign that it was already midnight.
The trails of her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the clock saying that it was already midnight, she glares at the clock as jumps impatiently out of her chair as she raised her arm and turned off the retro clock that disrupts her trail of thoughts.
Although the annoying sound stops, her thoughts and motivation did not go back, a sigh comes out from her mouth as she gazes onto her laptop. Clara raises her hand and pulls out the hair tie that was holding her uncombed hair, letting the waist-length hair cascade down and cover her face. Looking at the mirror to fix her hair she tries to smile but the annoyed looked keeps coming back to her face. 'Guess its time to call it a day'
His gray eyes were glimmering as he keeps on watching the woman across his monitor, 'I didn't know that monitoring her because of her debt will give me such entertainment and different from the vibes she was giving that day' he thought as he looks at the woman clicking something into her laptop as the monitor went black. 'Guess that she will sleep now after being up for one day and a half' he thought.
Retrieving his eyes from the black screen he unwrapped another lollipop and put into his mouth "Let's get back to business" and there is another sleepless night starts.
She has to avert her eyes from the horrific scene of the rubies cascading down on a man's arm but can't seem to do it. As she looks curiously at the carving part at his arm, 'it was a map', her eyes quiver as she looks at the face of the victim, it was the man she met years ago. As her hands start to shakes she seems to feel that she was holding onto something, her eyes divert from the man to her wet hand, looking at the carving knife with crimson sticky liquid on it, slowly cascades down to her arms. She suddenly collapses on the floor near the corpse looking at her with weird carvings onto his face as well. Crawling desperately away from the corpse her eyes starts to wet as her vision becomes blurry, a pair of heels stop her from dragging her trembling body.
"Don't worry I'll take care of this" she said in a soft voice.
She squats down to match her eyes, the only she could see was her hazel eyes eyeing her softly, "You are not alone now, you have me" she said as she forcefully closes her eyes through her hands.
The dream abruptly ends there.
Clara doesn't feel like sleeping anymore either. Pushing herself to sit up from her bed, her grips tighten over her stuff toy dazedly for a second.
It's been too long since she had a rest and has this kind of dream, and she is surrounded by the dark messy room where the laundry and her laptop were waiting for her to care for them. Clara zones out for a while before she snaps back herself, realizing that she is no longer in her dream, there was no crimson blood cascading down her arms and there was no lifeless body that was looking at her intently instead there was just a phone ringing loudly waiting for her to care.
She lazily puts down her feet as she moves on the telephone.
"Clara! Why did you turn off your phone!" a roar greets her as soon as she picks up.
Caressing her forehead, she looks at the clock on her wall it was barely eleven o'clock of the morning. "Why?" she yawns as she blinks her sleepness away.
"Why?! Why?!!!" the woman on the other line barely contain her anger, she breathes in deeply as she could feel the stares of the people inside of the café, clearing her throat "What time is our meeting?"
Scratching her head "Hmm. Ten?" she answers sheepishly.
The last string of her patience is barely hanging, the woman massages her head, gritting her teeth "And what time is it now?"
"Barely eleven? Why are you asking me? Don't you have a clock on that smartphone of yours? Even my keypad phone has one" Clara said as she picks up a pack of bread laying down on the counter and put it in her mouth.
The last string of patience of the woman across the line finally snaps, "Clara Del!!" standing up and picking her purse she walks out of the café "Send me that freaking address of yours!! I have waited for you enough to kill you right there!! Wait for me!"
Her eyes widen by the sudden outburst of her editor who's on the other line "Wait! Wait! I thought we will meet at the night!" Clara explains immediately as she grabs some t-shirt and pants lying down on the floor. "I'll send you the address I'll be there in a minute!" without waiting for her another episode of outburst she hangs up the telephone.
While waiting for her laptop to open she rapidly grabs some sneakers on her piled up at her doorstep. Once her laptop opens she urgently search for a good café to lessen the anger of her editor and immediately sends it to her.
Without wasting another second she just grabs her wallet and right away leaves her house without giving it a second look, the only thing that's been running on her little head is how her editor was pissed off this time and how to console her.
His hands that were busy dancing nonstop on his keyboard abruptly stops as he saw the black screen lit up. He sweeps a glance over on that screen, seeing the anxious look of the woman against the screen and how she moves urgently, his lips moves upward as his eyes darkened.
'Are you trying to run away from me?' his devilish smile didn't fade but his eyes diverted on the screen as he grabs his mouse and clicks another tab. His fingers rapidly type another set of codes and in a matter of seconds, tons of surveillance video appears on his screen. His eyes immediately look for the petite woman that he has been monitoring for a while.
Pulling the lollipop out of his mouth his perfect set of teeth was exposed as he smiles while his eyes were fixated on the screen with a woman running as if she was running for her life
"Found you"
