A gentle breeze was blowing past a beautifully winding cherry blossom tree in the middle of a green valley, which was situated in-between two convergent snow-topped mountain ranges. Pink petals fluttered about from the breeze creating a painting-esque scene. The blossoming flowers created a sweet and captivating scent that was as relaxing as the smell of incense. Underneath, in the shade of the tree, lay a man gazing at the flurry of petals against the clear blue sky and mellow light from the sun above, enjoying the mesmerizing scene of dancing petals.
The man was tall, around six and a half feet. He had platinum white hair, as white as freshly fallen snow. His face was of a handsome young man with sharp eyes the color of emeralds. Additionally, even though he was fully clothed, you could tell the man had a great physique.
The man wore a pristine white cloak with gold embroidery near the fringes of the fabric that looked like twisting vines in a thorny gorge. The white of the cloak was as white as the man's hair and the gold as pure as a mountain spring. He also wore black garments which contrasted finely with his pearly white skin, hair, and cloak; they looked like obsidian glistening from the rays of light that passed through the leaves above. The boots he was wearing came up to his mid-calf, they were a leathery black, that of the night, with gold embroidery of a dragon running down them.
The man seemed to be in a trance as he gazed at the falling petals, swirling elegantly in a serene dance down towards him. All that could be heard was the blowing of the wind and fluttering of the petals.
Then, a cute childish voice snapped him out of his trance-like state. "Dad I found you!" the little girl exclaimed jubilantly seeing the man lying underneath the cherry blossom tree.
The man laying on the ground lazily turned his head to the side and looked over at the girl and spoke in a coy tone, "Oh? I didn't know I was lost."
The little girl furrowed her brow and pursed her lips in a cute manner at what the man had said, which made him laugh at how cute she looked despite being angry.
The girl yelled out annoyed over the man's jest, "Dad! Stop teasing me!" She proceeded to run over and pound on the man's stomach with her small childish hands, which felt like someone patting his stomach.
The man suddenly got up and chased her around the tree in a playful manner, one that you would see when a parent was playing with their child. The man reached out and grabbed hold of the girl, "Got you! Haha," the man said in a playful manner. The girl screamed in a cute manner that seemed like she was laughing.
Holding the girl, the man fell to the ground landing on his back with her on top of his chest, sending petals flying in all directions creating a dazzling atmosphere, as if rubies were rising and floating around them.
After the girl stopped laughing, she laid on the man's chest staring up at the falling petals with the man. They laid there watching the hypnotic swirl of the petals dancing in the breeze and continued watching for what felt like an hour.
The man looked down at the girl who was resting on his chest and spoke in a soft and gentle manner, "Did your mother ask to fetch me?" The girl still in a bewildered state from watching the petals didn't pay any mind to his words. Like the adult the man was, he decided to pout like the girl had done before when she found him because she didn't respond.
After the girl paid this no mind, the man decided to playfully tickle the girl's sides, "Hahahaha, dad, stop, hahahaha!"
After he had stopped tickling her, the girl got upset and furrowed her brows and pursed her lips again, which the man only found adorable making the girl even more upset.
After sufficiently calming the girl down, the man asked the girl once more, "Did your mother call for me?" The girl, trying to recall something, scratched her head as if she were really struggling with a hard math problem.
After a brief moment of silence, the girl smiled and exclaimed, "Mama didn't call for you, I was just skipping on my chores, tee hee."
"Sigh~," the man sighed.
"Listen here, your chores are an important task given to you by your mother. You shouldn't slack off, you'll regret it when you're older," said the man with a serious expression on his face trying to convince the girl to return in fear her mother would yell at him too.
The girl, unbelieving of his words, questioned him saying, "Hmmm~? So, when have chores you did as a kid ever helped you?"
"That is a whole different thing, we're talking about you here not me. Don't try and change the subject."
The girl had a devilish grin on her face because she knew she had caught him, "Hihihi, whatever you say~."
After dismissing the problem of the girl ditching her chores, they both laid back down to enjoy the spectacle of petals above them. The man thought to himself and decided he'd take responsibility for her actions this time, even though he didn't want to be yelled at.
They laid there only to hear the gentle sound of the breeze accompanied by the flipping and flopping of the petals. The aroma of the flowers drifted by and was colorful and calming as it had always been. The scent made them feel like time was passing by at a rapid pace.
An hour or two passed, or so it seemed, it was amazing how the girl sat still for that much time though. The girl sat up, followed by a cascade of petals falling off her body. She looked down at the now sleeping man, a devilish grin once again crept onto her face.
She sprang up like she had just sat on a thumbtack, getting off the man's chest. She took a few steps back and ran towards the man, jumping at the right distance to land on the man. She slammed down onto the man's hard, muscular body!
It hurt!
The man was jostled by the impact and woke up to find the girl on her knees grabbing her stomach as if she were just punched there.
Confused and panicked, the man spoke, "What's wrong? Did you eat something bad!?" The girl was in tears and grasping her stomach. The man decided to pick the girl up and cuddle her till she felt better, realizing what had just transpired after thinking about the sensation around his abdomen.
The man sat there with the girl in his arms for a few minutes until she stopped crying. The man lifted the girl up and walked over to the tree where he sat down, leaning his back against the old and wiry trunk, putting the girl in his lap leaning her against his chest.
They stayed like this for a few minutes, once again enjoying the splendid sight and smell produced by the cherry blossom tree, until the girl spoke up, "Dad, tell me a story."
The man trying to think of a story struggled to pick one. He was incredibly indecisive when it came to decisions like these, which made it impossible for him to pick a story to tell.
Finally, the man replied after much struggling, "How about you choose a story you want to hear about?"
The girl thought for a while and finally, with an excited smile, spoke up, "Tell me about how you became a saint!"
