Olivia was frantic after what she just had saw outside their house. She did not understand anything and as to why her father was furious over Augustus. She wanted to go outside her room but her father locked it up after ahe was put to bed by her mother Madam Odette.
All she did while still awake was trying to fill in the gap between what just happened to her that day and as to what was her father was talking about.
Her father accused her of day dreaming and Don Maximus wanted her to stop from something.
"What could possibly dad mean by that?" she was talking to herself as her mind was in deep thought. Then she heard a knock on the door.
"Olivia, are you still awake?" Jane was calling her softly that ahe almost couldn't hear her.
"Yes Yaya Jane, I'm still awake. Please come in."
Jane slowly opened her bedroom door and was so careful not to make a sound when she entered Olivia's room.
"Why are you tip toeing Yaya?" Olivia was curious about Jane's behavior.
"I don't want Don Maximus to hear that I entered your room. I'm just worried about you, are you okay?" Jane's eyes was seriously serious as she spoke.
"No, I'm not Yaya. Please explain to me what just happened outside awhile ago and why waa dad so mad with Augustus." She seem to be helpless in here words that she begun crying as she tries to remember every strike of her father on Augustus.
"I don't know exactly Olivia but your father was dead angry since you were missing this noon time. He seem to be more furious right after he spoke to Kristina." Jane recalled the days event so clearly.
"And what dis they talk about that made him that angry to Augustus?" Olivia was already calm but tears keep on falling from her eyes.
"I don't know young madam." she answered. Perhaps Madam Odette really knew something about it."
"Mom knew something and she didn't even defended her gardener at that moment?"
"I don't know any further young madam but I just hope you're fine. Please do sleep tight for now, I know today was an awful day for you." Jane felt so sorry for her. She knew how much Olivia liked Augustus much more that all of them working in the rest house knew about it since the time they noticed the change in Olivia's behavior.
"No, i have to go to Dad's room now." Olivia got out from her bed but as soon as she walked through the door, Jane grabbed her hand and made her ait on her couch near the door.
"Olivia, please don't do it. Your father might be more furious if you come out from your bedroom. He strictly prohibited us from opening it but I just opened it because I was worried about you." Jane was deadly serious since it would also mean that she might lose her job if the Don will find out.
Olivia was so furious deep inside. She was so mad with her father and she felt betrayed by her mom. She wanted to go wild but she managed to control her tantrums for now. She doesn't want to add up to her fathers unreasonable anger by acting bratty.
She went back to her bed and make up her mind to be do as what was told by her nanny Jane. She has to compose herself and try to know the truth behind what happened that day.
On the other hand, Augustus was still in a state of shock and could only feel the pain from all the wound he got from Don Maximus beating. He is still unable to point out what had just happened and why was the Don so mad at him
He is over thinking of all the possibilities but it would be too lowly if all the reasons he could every think are possibly.
Some part of him was in rage as he thought of how inhumane was the Don and how immature was his reaction towards him.
He was in deep thought until he was swept away by sleep.
Kristina came running to Augustus house after she arrived with her scooter. She knocked a couple of times before Augustus mother opened the door.
"Oh, Kristina, you're here, come in, come in. What can i do for you?"
"I came to see Augustus auntie. I heard he was beaten up by Don Maximus."
"Yes dear, and none of them knows the reason behind. Poor Augustus, he is lying i side his room to rest after what had happens yesterday."
"What? So it's all true?" Kristina asked and was so shocked. "auntie, is it tally true?"
"Yes. Go see him inside but please don't wake him if he's already asleep."
"Okay Auntie," and Kristina slowly went to Augustus room and take a look at him who was already in deep sleep.
When Kristina saw him and the wound on his arms, back and legs, she was mad at herself. She was guilty because she knows that she contributed much in what has happened at Don Augustus house. She was aware of how the Don was angry after she told him something about the the young madam's feelings towards Augustus. She even added a little to her story thinking that it would be Olivia who will be reprimanded much by the Don.
But apart from her guilt, her thoughts grew anger towards the young madam. Kristina blamed her for what has Augustus experienced this day. She also grew rage for the Don for his unexplainable reaction towards what she told him and as to what he did to Augustus.
