As soon as the couple arrived back home, they had a passionate night. Ha Eun was upset by the fact that he would look rejuvenated once they were done but she couldn't even move because her joints would hurt.
Chang Wook made Ha Eun breakfast and gave it to her upstairs. He then got ready for work. went to work early and let Ha Eun enjoy her breakfast in bed.
"Don't worry, Jin Hyeok is back at work and he'll be doing your work until you get back," Chang Wook told her.
"He's such a workaholic," Ha Eun chuckled.
"Look who's talking," Chang Wook kissed Ha Eun on the forehead, said his goodbyes, and left for work. To his surprise, once he arrived at his floor, he saw a group of people around a desk, saying congratulations to someone. As he approached them, they all greeted him, happy to see him back, but he wanted to know what they were doing.
"What're all the congratulations for?" Chang Wook asked them. One of the women looked down with a smile and said that she was pregnant. Another woman added how she has never been the same since she had her son.
"Being a parent is a lot of hard work but as you see them grow up, you feel like all the hard work was worth it," a woman said.
"When my daughter called me daddy for the first time, it's like I experienced a new type of happiness," a man said, and others nodded in agreement.
"Boss, what about you?" a woman asked him and everyone suddenly turned to him, "Have you and the President thought about having kids?"
The others in the group suddenly seemed curious and wanted the gossip. Though there's really nothing to gossip about. Chang Wook forced a laugh, "You guys and your silly questions," he said. He wondered what Ha Eun would say at a time like this. "You guys aren't getting paid to sit around so let's get to work!" he said and walked towards his office. The others looked at each other surprised as he basically screamed at them.
"I guess the president's behavior has rubbed off on him," one of the men said. The others agreed and went back to their seats.
In his office, Chang Wook noticed a note on his desk. It said that Hong Joo would be taking the day off and it was signed by Ji Seok. "What the hell is he doing?" Chang Wook wondered. He could flirt with anyone but he had to go for his secretary, and it hadn't been long since she started working for him too. He's going to have to talk with his dear brother-in-law soon.
As he looked back to his subordinates, some of them were still congratulating the woman on her pregnancy.
"I wonder what our kids would look like," Chang Wook whispered. He quickly hit himself on his cheeks for thinking something like that. Ha Eun had never shown any interest in being a mother and the two of them hadn't talked about it either. Chang Wook wouldn't mind having a child with Ha Eun. If anything, he would love to be a father, but he wouldn't want to force Ha Eun into anything. Knowing her, she would probably say yes just to make him happy. Although they've been married for a while now, Chang Wook wondered if it was okay to bring up the 'let's have a kid' conversation.
Ha Eun was still at home while Chang Wook was pondering this question. She was taking her time in getting ready. Until it suddenly hit her that they hadn't used protection. What if she's pregnant? This question haunted her mind as she got dressed, put on makeup, did her hair, and was driven all the way to work. Even as she walked all the way up to her office.
"Are you alright, madame?" Jin Hyeok asked her. Ha Eun snapped out of it. He obviously said something before, and she hadn't been paying attention.
"I was just lost in thought. What was it that you just said?" she asked him.
"Um…since the Chung problem has been dealt with, it is time for me to go back to working for Mr. Oh but I was wondering if I could continue to work for you. If only for a while longer?"
Ha Eun knew he wasn't going to work for her forever since he was first and foremost her father's assistant but this was a surprise.
"Did you like working under me that much?" Ha Eun teased.
"More like I've grown accustomed to this type of work environment," Jin Hyeok answered. Ha Eun scoffed. He just couldn't be honest. Mi Jin is going to have a hard time getting him to open up.
"Was my father just making you get him coffee?" Ha Eun asked him. She knew perfectly well how her father liked to do everything himself. He would even set his own schedule. How he's managed to not die of overwork is beyond her comprehension. Jin Hyeok looked away as if he was caught in a lie. He nodded. Ha Eun laughed.
"Well, I like how you work, and you are far more competent than my last secretary, so I'll accept your request," Ha Eun told him. She could almost see a grin on his face but as soon as she saw it, it disappeared.
Jin Hyeok excused himself and as soon as Ha Eun was left alone in her office, she quickly started thinking about being pregnant again. It's not like she didn't mind being pregnant. If she were to have a child, she would only want it to be with Chang Wook but would he want to have a child? It hasn't been long since they've been married. He also changed jobs and has finally returned after a long absence, so everything must be pretty hectic. "Is it alright to bring up the child talk?" she wondered.
At the end of the day, she received a text from Chang Wook telling her he would be heading home and he would see her there. He also added a winky face. Ha Eun couldn't help but smile and be a little suspicious. What is he planning?
At home, Chang Wook had decided to bring up the child talk, and to do that he planned to make them a nice dinner and set a romantic mood. On her way home Ha Eun was wondering if she should bring up having kids. Maybe she should buy some wine. If he doesn't want to have kids, she can just blame her thoughts on the wine.
As Chang Wook cooked, he remembered that the two of them have done it unprotected. She could be pregnant, and she doesn't even know it yet. He has no problem with this but what if she doesn't want to have their child? They would obviously have an argument over this and cause an irreparable strain in their relationship.
Chang Wook finished setting the table, changing the lighting, as well as putting on romantic music. Suddenly he heard the front door open. He heard footsteps heading towards the kitchen and in walked the most beautiful creature he had ever laid his eyes on.
"Why, hello there, wife," he said with a grin.
Ha Eun smiled as she showed a bottle of wine, "Hello, husband," she answered. She approached him and placed her lips on his.
"That's it?" he asked her. It was too short of a kiss.
"Hold your horses cowboy, I just got home," she answered. Chang Wook wasn't going to take that as a valid reason so he pulled her closer and showed her how to properly kiss her husband. As he intertwined their tongues together.
Ha Eun broke the kiss and said, "Let's have a kid."
Chang Wook was awestruck. Ha Eun suddenly wanted to dig a hole and hide in it. Chang Wook had prepared this whole dinner to ease her into this conversation and Ha Eun had gotten the wine that she didn't even end up using.
Since Chang Wook wasn't answering, Ha Eun realized it was too soon. She just made this nice atmosphere awkward. Would their relationship be awkward from now? She thought of saying she was joking but Chang Wook suddenly grabbed the back of her neck and placed a passionate kiss on her lips. He suddenly picked her up and placed her on the kitchen counter. Before she could even comprehend what was going on, he had ripped her shirt open and taken off her bra exposing her chest.
"Take my shirt off," Chang Wook told her. Ha Eun's cheeks flushed red.
"This means yes," Ha Eun thought to herself as a shy smile crossed her face. And she did as she was told.
