2 years later
Ji Seok ran down the hallway he was told to follow. Hong Joo suddenly grabbed his hand pointing in the other direction, "It's this way," she told him.
"What will I ever do without you?" he asked her.
"Probably fall off a cliff with that sense of direction of yours," she said. Ji Seok chuckled.
"It's not my fault that I get lost when I panic," he said.
At the end of a hallway, he saw his father, his sister's secretary, Jin Hyeok, Mi Jin, and his brother-in-law. Not to mention his brother-in-law's parents. Everyone was sitting down and chatting away happily, while Chang Wook paced back and forth as he bit his nails.
"Oh calm down son, she's doing fine," Soo Ryun said, "I was stuck in a hospital with this kid for 10 hours," she pointed at Chang Wook's dad. The fact that she called his dad a kid was kind of funny to him. It seems that no matter how old one is, you'll always be a kid to your parents.
"Well, grandma, it's been more than 10 hours," Chang Wook answered.
"I was with you for 14," Mi Do said but that wasn't making him feel any better since he has been in the hospital for almost 24 hours, and the last news, he received from a doctor was 7 hours ago.
"How's everything going?" Hong Joo asked as she and Ji Seok approached.
"I don't know, they haven't come out to say anything," Chang Wook said in a panic, "Shouldn't they have finished by now?!"
"Calm down son, everything will be okay," Mr. Oh told him.
"Yeah, the doctors might just be very slow today, and knowing sister, she's probably cursing at them as we speak," Ji Seok said.
Everyone looked slightly worried, "Should we worry about a possible lawsuit?" Mr. Oh asked.
"I'll call the lawyers just in case," Jin Hyeok answered quickly.
"Well, I'm getting hungry," Mi Jin said, "What do you think about eating chicken?" she asked. Everyone agreed to her suggestion, but Chang Wook was in his own world full of worry that he didn't hear her. Hong Joo offered to go with her. Since there were a lot of mouths to feed, she needed someone to go with her to pick up the food.
When the two came back, everything was just as it was when they left. Chang Wook was the only one standing while the others talked amongst themselves. If they tried to calm him down, their words would just fall on deaf ears, so everyone decided to let him be. Mi Jin offered him a chicken wing which he denied but as soon as she shoved it in his mouth he ate it quickly. He unknowingly sat down with everyone in a circle, and they all ate and drank happily. It seemed Chang Wook had no idea he was hungry or thirsty.
As everyone was eating, a doctor approached them. Everyone quickly stood up and Chang Wook asked, "How is she?!"
"She's doing fine," the doctor said. Chang Wook took a sigh of relief, "You can come to see her if you want, though she and the babies are asleep at the moment,"
"The…the babies?" Chang Wook asked, "As in plural?" Everyone was shocked.
The doctor smiled, "Yes, twins. A boy and a girl. Congratulations," he said.
"I'm a grandmother to twins!" Mi Do said happily.
"I'm a great-grandmother to twins!" Soo Ryun cheered.
"I'm a grandfather," Han Soo and Mr. Oh said at the same time. The two looked at each other, smiled, and shook hands.
"I'm an uncle!" Ji Seok added. As everyone was saying what they were.
"Congratulations, son," Han Soo told Chang Wook as he patted him on the back. Chang Wook didn't understand. Why was he being congratulated?
"You're a dad now," Mi Do said to Chang Wook as she hugged him.
"I'm…I'm a dad," Chang Wook whispered.
"That's right, you're a dad," Soo Ryun said.
"Congratulations," the others said simultaneously. As they all either hugged him or patted him on the back.
"Are you ready to meet your kids?" the doctor said. Chang Wook nodded, and he followed the doctor. Everyone else had to stay behind.
Inside the room, he saw his beautiful wife, covered in sweat and sleeping.
"You worked hard," he whispered as he passed his hand over her cheek. He looked at the end of the room and saw two nurses looking over cribs and urging him to go towards them. When he reached the cribs, he saw 2 little faces looking right at him.
"Would you like to pick them up?" one of the nurses asked. Chang Wook didn't even answer before the nurse picked up the little girl and placed her in his arms. Chang Wook could barely move. It was as if he was holding a fragile porcelain doll that could break at the slightest movement. He could already tell she would look just like her mother.
The nurse took the little girl out of his arms and Chang Wook slightly reached out as if he didn't want to stop holding her just yet. The other nurse placed the boy in his arms. The boy would definitely look like him but would have aspects like his mother, just like his sister he had his mother's eyes, and he also had her nose.
The nurse took the boy out of his arms and again Chang Wook thought it wasn't long enough. The nurses rolled them out and he wanted to follow them, but he couldn't just leave his wife.
"They'll bring them back once the mother wakes up," the doctor said. Chang Wook nodded. He walked over to Ha Eun's side and grabbed her hand.
"Ha Eun, they're beautiful. They look just like us," he said as a tear went down his eye, "We're parents Ha Eun," he added.
He felt Ha Eun grip his hand and knew she was awake. She slowly opened her eyes. Chang Wook placed his hand on her cheek, and she placed her hand over his.
They had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years and now it had finally paid off, "We're parents," Ha Eun whispered. Chang Wook kissed Ha Eun on her forehead and nodded.
"We're parents," he whispered back, with a smile.

4 years later
"Sang Wook, get over here, we're late!" Chang Wook yelled in front of the door for his son who was nowhere to be seen but he could hear him break something. Chang Wook felt a sudden pull at his pant leg and saw his adorable daughter Ha Joon looking up at him. She unlike her brother was calmer and always on time.
"I got him," Ha Eun said as she walked towards them, holding their son, "He didn't break anything. The lamp just fell, and it made a loud noise," she added. If there is one thing Chang Wook knew it was that his son was a huge momma's boy. He hardly ever listened to his father but when his mother showed up he was doing everything she wanted and acting like a filial son. He was also quiet and had his shoes on.
"Papa," Ha Joon said as she reached out her arms. Chang Wook knew she wanted to be carried to the car. While Sang Wook was a huge momma's boy, his sweet Ha Joon was a daddy's girl. He and Ha Eun would sometimes feel jealous of each other because their kids showed obvious favoritism.
"Can't she at least show who her favorite is in moderation?" Ha Eun asked. Chang Wook chuckled.
"Look who's talking," he said. Ha Eun laughed.
The kids were taken to preschool and the teachers loved their kids. They always mentioned how bright their kids were and that they are sure to skip grades. Ha Eun and Chang Wook already knew their kids were far brighter than others but they had decided to let them be. Although it was great that they excelled at school, they didn't want to rip them away from their peers and from living the normal life of a child.
Ha Joon approached her mother and kissed her on the cheek and Sang Wook approached his father and hugged him. The two children knew it was the only way to get their parents to stop pouting that they didn't get enough attention from their other child.
Ha Joon and Sang Wook held each other's hands as they walked into the school. Other kids would cry and hold onto their parents, but their kids were acting all grown up. Chang Wook and Ha Eun found it incredibly cute and somewhat sad that their kids didn't even throw tantrums.
"They cry once they're inside," a little kid approached them. He smiled at them brightly. Ha Eun and Chang Wook were surprised by this new revelation.
"And who might you be?" Ha Eun asked him.
"I'm Chin Mae," he said, "I'm going to marry your daughter when we grow up." Ha Eun and Chang Wook were shocked.
"A boy that speaks the truth. That means that our kids really do cry when we aren't looking," Ha Eun said.
"Are you really going to ignore the other half of what that brat said?" Chang Wook asked her.
"Oh, of course," Ha Eun said, she turned to the boy and said "Well, if she says yes, we'll invite you over for a playdate," Ha Eun chuckled.
"Ha Eun!" Chang Wook said with a pout.
"Bye-bye!" Chin Mae said. He then screamed their kids' names as he ran toward them. Sang Wook looked to be annoyed by the boy while Ha Joon completely ignored him.
"Good luck little one," Ha Eun said.
"Seriously? You're just going to let him go like that?" Chang Wook asked.
Ha Eun was awestruck, "He's a child, and didn't you see our kids?" she asked.
Chang Wook nodded, "Yeah, they don't seem very fond of him," he said. Ha Eun shoved him.
"Sang Wook was smiling, and Ha Joon was blushing," Ha Eun said, "I can't believe you didn't notice that. And you call yourself their father," she scoffed.
"Are you mad at me right now?"
"I'm teasing you," Ha Eun chuckled, "If anything, you're the mad one. I suggest you ready your heart; it seems we already have a son-in-law," she said.
"You're not going to comfort me? I've just been traumatized," Chang Wook said, hugging Ha Eun from behind.
"Shall we skip work today?" Ha Eun asked. Chang Wook was shocked.
"Workaholic Ha Eun doesn't want to work?" Chang Wook asked.
Ha Eun chuckled, "My husband has just been traumatized, I have to take care of him," she said.
"How will you take care of me?" he asked.
"Do you want to find out?" she asked.
"Very much so," he answered.
The two laughed as they headed towards the car.
"Where to madame?" the driver asked.
"Home," Ha Eun said.
"Playing hooky again I see," the driver said with a smile.
"Don't tell our kids, we don't want them getting any ideas," Chang Wook said. The driver chuckled.
"Yes, sir," he answered.
Ha Eun raised the window that separated them from the driver to have a sense of privacy.
Chang Wook looked at Ha Eun and she looked at him with a passionate gaze.
"I don't understand it," Chang Woo said. Ha Eun looked at him confused, "We've been married for years yet I can't seem to stop falling in love with you every single day," Chang Wook told her. Ha Eun's cheeks flushed red. The two shared a kiss as they headed home.
They couldn't find a reason as to why they would fall in love with each other every day but they also didn't need one. It was a path they walked into and will continue to walk through it, together until death do they part.
