When it was time to sleep Ha Eun handed Chang Wook a pillow and told him "There are 5 bedrooms in total, pick one of them"
"Can't I pick the one where all my stuff is?" he asked her. In other words, he wanted to sleep with her.
"Its late so you can move your stuff in the morning to wherever your new bedroom is"
Chang Wook glared at her, she glared back. He was a bit disappointed, he thought for sure they had gotten closer, but it seems he truly has to take baby steps with her.
He decided to take the bedroom next to her's but Ha Eun stopped him "You start work tomorrow"
Chang Wook turned around "Excuse me?"
"You didn't sneeze" Ha Eun said. Chang Wook grinned, her joke was so lame "Your new job will be editor in chief. You know where the department is so get yourself over there early in the morning. The workers need to know their new boss is responsible"
Ha Eun closed the door behind her. Chang Wook was shocked by her words. He forgot about the deal they made. He's never been the boss of anything, he doesn't even know the first thing about bossing around, but he did work under the most ruthless boss he's ever known...his wife. With that in mind, he decided to practice on how he would introduce himself to his new subordinates and practiced in the mirror how Ha Eun would often act when she yelled at an employee for doing a bad job and even practice on how to fire someone.
"Why couldn't she tell me I was starting my new job at least a few days in advance? She just had to tell me the night before"
…
In the morning, Chang Wook woke up, went inside Ha Eun's bedroom to pick out his clothes and took a shower. When he left the bathroom, he smelled rice, vegetables and meat.
He went downstairs and saw Ha Eun in her pajamas and wearing an apron. He didn't know why but he found that look, sexy.
"Goodmorning Mr. Kim" Ha Eun said with a smile.
"Good morning Mrs. Kim" Chang Wook said teasingly but she didn't seem bothered by it as she was yesterday.
"I got the driver to get us some breakfast since there isn't any food in the fridge yet"
"Should we go shopping later?" Chang Wook asked her.
Ha Eun tried not to smile. She somehow found it romantic, going shopping with your partner and discussing what to have for dinner and who would cook to later decide that the two would cook together.
"Does that smile mean yes?" Chang Wook asked her.
"You're a boss now, you don't leave work before your subordinates" Ha Eun said, smiling. Chang Wook could tell she liked the idea of shopping together but tried to put excuses not to.
"But I'm a boss now, that means I can do whatever I want"
"Just because you're not my secretary anymore doesn't mean I'm no longer your boss" Ha Eun said with a grin.
"Now that you mention it, who's going to be your new secretary now?" Chang Wook asked her.
"The board usually picks a secretary for me, so until then, I'll be working on my own" Ha Eun said. Chang Wook couldn't help but feel worried. If her secretary was another man, she'd be spending every moment of every day with him just like he used to.
Chang Wook would only get to see her after work and in the weekends but even in the weekends she would go to work. He can't get her to fall in love with him if he can never see her.
"Now go, you're going to be late for work" Ha Eun told Chang Wook as she pushed him towards the door.
When she opened the door, he noticed the driver opening the back door for him. From now he'll be waking up to the smell of breakfast, the smile of a wife and a driver. Although it was so new and weird to him, he felt like he'll enjoy it.
The driver looked at the couple and nodded "Don't mind me" he said. The couple realized what he meant. He was expecting for them to kiss.
It was obvious that a newly wedded couple would be all over each other, if they weren't Ha Eun would worry that the driver would tell Mr. Oh.
Chang Wook noticed Ha Eun's expression, he knew what she was worrying about, so he did what the driver was expecting them to do.
He placed his hands on Ha Eun's cheeks, rasing her head a bit, he then placed his lips against her's. Ha Eun widened her eyes in surprise when she felt Chang Wook's tongue slip inside her mouth and started to wiggle it around her own.
She felt overwhelmed by this turn of events. She thought that she should push him off but at the same time, she didn't want to.
Chang Wook quickly parted his lips from her's and said "See you after work"
Ha Eun's cheeks flushed red when she saw Chang Wook's face, red as well.
"Yeah, see you"
They both smiled at each other and the driver couldn't help but grin at their show of affection. He'll be sure to let Mr. Oh know how passionate the newly wedded couple are. Even though they must have kissed like that various times, they still blush and smile like it was their first time.
He wished he and his wife were still like that.
When Chang Wook got in the car, he closed the window that separated the backseat from the driver's side. Then proceeded to place both his hands on his face and lay down on the seat.
"I did such a thing to Ha Eun!" he yelled in a whisper. He promised himself he'd go slow with her and suddenly he gave her such a passionate kiss, so early in the morning.
She didn't seem unwilling and the smile she gave him…He knew now that there was definitely something between them but, the words that would make their relationship real were yet to be said. He knew he had to step up his game. He'll definitely make Ha Eun say she loves him.
