Chapter 46 - They must really be in love

Back at their home they had dinner and after that Chang Wook offered Ha Eun to show her how to really play one of his video games.

"No thank you" she said "That was a one-time thing that will never happen again" she felt embarrassed about the whole, him finding her in the couch playing his games and surrounded by junk food, but he finds it adorable.

Ha Eun suddenly got a call. It was a number she didn't know.

"Hello?" she answers. She widens her eyes when she finds out who it is. Chang Wook notices her expression. Why did it change? Whoever it is on the other line, isn't someone she wants to talk to. He knows that.

"How did you find my number?" Ha Eun asked.

"Its not hard. I just didn't want to use this method." Woo Yeon said through the phone. He knew she wouldn't answer his call if he had the same number and he also knew she changed her number. He didn't want to use this method, he wanted her to give him her number willingly once her anger subsided but after she got married, that changed things for him.

"What do you want?" Ha Eun asked him. He obviously wasn't calling to chit-chat, of that, she was sure.

"The Chung Group wants to do a project with the OG Group" Woo Yeon said.

"You can talk with the company's board about that" Ha Eun wanted this conversation to end.

"Already did" he said "Our families have been friends for a long time. I can mention an idea and they'll be on board"

Ha Eun could tell he was up to something "Chung Woo Yeon, if you try anything…" she wasn't able to finish her sentence before Woo Yeon interrupted her.

"I know how to separate my personal life from work" he said, "Can you?" he asked with a grin. Ha Eun's jaw clenched. His attitude was the same as always. He hadn't changed at all.

Chang Wook was surprised by the name she said. That was the name of the guy she was talking to at her family's house. He was getting worried about the relationship he and Ha Eun had. Is he his rival?

No, he shouldn't be thinking about rivals, he already won. He's married to Ha Eun but, his heart was uneasy.

"I'll see you tomorrow" Woo Yeon said.

"Fine" Ha Eun said and then she hung up. Chang Wook smiled at that. She didn't even say goodbye, that means he can't be his rival because she doesn't even like him…but he himself didn't like Ha Eun, it wasn't until just before they got married that he came to realize he loved her.

Just as quickly as he realized his feelings, she could change her feeling about Woo Yeon and fall in love with him.

Ha Eun started to walk up the stairs but Chang Wook hurried after her.

"What's your relationship with Woo Yeon?" he asked. Ha Eun turned around. Her expression showed she didn't want to talk about it but that just made him even more curious. Was their relationship something he had to be worried about?

Ha Eun smiled at Chang Wook. She could tell he was jealous "I wasn't always like this" she told him. She wanted to tell him, but it was too painful. She looked at his saddened expression, she promised herself to tell him one day, but that day wasn't today.

She went down a step, took hold of Chang Wook's cheeks and pulled at them.

"Ow, ow, ow!" he said, as he tried to take Ha Eun's hands off his face. When he did he asked "Are you a grandma? How do you have such strength in your hands?!" As he rubbed his cheeks with his hands. Ha Eun quickly laid a kiss on his forehead.

"Goodnight" she said, then went upstairs to her room.

Chang Wook was surprised by this. His cheeks flushed red and he felt hot. He walked slowly to the bathroom. Opened the faucet, put his head in the sink and let the water fall on his face. When he was done, he looked at himself in the mirror. Pointed at the mirror and said "Chang Wook…get your shit together" he then went to his bedroom.

"She just kissed my forehead. Am I a middle schooler?!"

The next morning, Chang Wook woke up early to take a shower and get ready for work. He dressed in a dark blue suit with a light blue shirt.

As he looked through the ties that were in the closet, prepared for him, he didn't know which one to choose. He hoped to see a clip-on, but they were all regular ties. He didn't know how to put on a tie.

"Knock, knock" Ha Eun said. Chang Wook turned around. Ha Eun was wearing a light blue, off-shoulder dress with white pearl earings. Chang Wook smiled at the fact that they were matching "Need help?" she asked him.

"You know how to tie a tie?" Chang Wook asked with a smile.

"Mr. Oh taught me" she said as she got closer to him and fixed his tie. Chang Wook couldn't help but feel nervous. They've kissed before but he can't help feeling nervous. She's taking the initiative!

The two of them made breakfast together. Chang Wook hoped they could make this a regular thing. He liked cooking with her.

When they arrived to work together, there were even more people staring than before. Everyone bowed. Security seemed nervous when Ha Eun walked by. She's always had that effect on people, but it didn't stop them from saying "Madame"

When they looked at Chang Wook, they seemed more relaxed, bowed and said "Sir." He bowed back. That must be the biggest difference the couple had. He said hello to everyone, while she treated them like air.

"You should practice your communication skills" Chang Wook whispered to Ha Eun.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm just saying that it wouldn't kill you to say goodmorning once in a while or just smile"

"If I did that, they'll think I've gone soft and the board eat soft people for breakfast"

"Weren't you the one that said softness isn't weakness?" Chang Wook asked her. She looked at him surprised. Those were the words she told Chang Wook's father when the two went golfing. How did Chang Wook find out.

"What? Did you think I wasn't going to find out?" he asked. Ha Eun got red "Dad told mom and mom told me" Ha Eun wanted to make a hole and crawl inside it.

"Why are you embarrassed. I wanted to thank you for standing up to my father and defending me" He placed his hand on Ha Eun's head "Thank you Ha Eun" he gave her a wide smile. Ha Eun just nodded.

The people around them, although they couldn't hear what they were saying, they noticed how Ha Eun's face got red and how Chang Wook smiled brightly.

"They must really be in love" a girl said.

"I've never seen the bosswoman make that expression before" another girl said.

"Was she always that cute?" a guy asked.

"I was wondering the same thing" the guy next to him said.

"Chang Wook sure is lucky"

"The bosswoman is the lucky one. Chang Wook is so hot and really nice guy" a girl said.

People continued to talk about the couple throughout the whole day.

Those that thought Chang Wook slept his way into his job changed their minds. They could tell the couple was very much in love and they also knew that Chang Wook was a very hardworking employee. No one deserved a raise more than him. He always wanted to work in the editing department and the Editor in Chief position was vacant.

"I think they make a cute couple" a girl said.

"Are they the power couple of our company?"

"I ship them"

"Their relationship sounds like the plot of a drama. A CEO falling in love with their secretary"

"Haha, I know, right?"

People kept encouraging the couples relationship. That was until someone brought up the fact that the couple were on different social standings.

"Yeah, they look cute together and all but what does her family think? Chang Wook is just an average person, the bosswoman is one of the most well-known women in all of Korea, not to mention the CEO. The rich people might be against their relationship"

"I see your point, but they're already married. Nothing anyone can do now"

"There's something called divorce. With the right type of persuasion her family could get them to divorce"

"Yeah, didn't you see how different she looked with Chang Wook. I wouldn't be surprised if the board started questioning her decision to marry him and want someone else to take over her position"

The talk was getting so out of hand it went viral and it even hit the news. People wondering if the couple would be able to stay married.
