Chapter 6 - Wooden Stick

He looked like he had more to say, but I did not need to be pestered anymore. The real matter at hand was Aetius. I looked through the crowd. "Oh…" I accidently exclaimed my horror at seeing my mother in the crowd as, after I was sent here most of my family was killed or committed suicide. She seemed as if she wanted to disown me at this point. I would not mind. I am not one who needs the supplement of a fractured and broken family. I looked back at Aetius to see that he had been watching me.

"Your name. Tell me it. I order you." He said. He voice was unusually low in tone and was very flat. "You are not my ruler nor my mentality, so your word or order has no meaning to me. I am a child and that is all you need to know me by. Also, one of us has to die so their is no meaning to it. After all, you are the person I've wanted to fight the most, but I've had to wait, so let's make this entertaining." With that I cut off the conversation.

He was suddenly in front of me. I was astonished. He hit me right in the center of my stomach. I exuded a pained sound and blood flew out of my mouth and into the air. I was pushed off my feet and out of the air. He then awaited my arrival to a place behind me, where I would be at his abdomen height. I hit his chest with my back. The force of the push vs. the stop felt like it was going to break me in half. I fell to the ground and grunted. I quickly tried to regain my composure by standing quickly and grabbing my bo staff.

I moved in an instant and tried to stab his stomach. I tried every strike in the book. Strike and sweep, head hit, uppercut, and every other move. He blocked them all. It was like he was screaming in my face "is this the best you can do". He grabbed me by the shoulder pads on the armour I was given and took my staff. He threw me away and snapped the wooden stick in half. My best chance against him just ripped from me.
