Music and Dance start off the festival. Every kind of creature could be seen in the street as the parade started. Confetti fluttered everypart of the place from flying creatures flying around.
Mandy was dragged along by Grace, she wants to wander around the place before their marathon tomorrow. Julie, Heart and Chris was following from behind, also enjoying the joyous place.
Mandy thought about what Vanisa told her, she planned that she should stay in her room except for tomorrows event, but Grace visited her earlier and pushed her to change and dragged her out the room.
"How about we try that one?" Grace asked while pointing in a shooting stall. Before Mandy could answer, she was already in front of it. Grace paid for the fee and gave a riffle to Mandy. Grace already start shooting the target infront. Mandy was still standing, arguing whether she shoot or not.
"Damn, not lucky this time" she grumbled as she finished all her bullets, she looked at Mandy who was not yet shooting.
"What are you waiting for, shoot already" she said, that made Mandy decide to try.
She positioned herself, imitating a figure in a movie she just remembered. Her first bullet just pass the target. She expect that to happen since she was not that good to shoot. She ready for the second bullet, but it just grazed and was not able to fall it down. She sighed she knew she was not good, but in that moment she felt frustrated. She does not realized she wants to hit the target that badly. She put her all concentration in the last bullet, she breath in and out, and look directly to the target and pull the trigger.
"Woah, that's a good shot Mandy. You won!" Grace jump in joy, as she shake Mandy up.
"Stop it Grace, you're making her dizzy" Chris was right, since Mandy starting to circling her head.
"My bad. Oh here's your award." Grace get the reward from the fellow student who manage the stall.
"Please kindly fill this up." a log book was given to Mandy to fill-up. Mandy regain her senses and follow the instruction.
"I can't believe you're good at games Mandy. We're piled up with prizes now. How did you do it?" Grace was so happy with all the things they won in every stall.
"Yeah, never thought we know someone like you." Chris added while eating a food.
"Mandy was our lucky charm in the group. Not just that, she's kind enough to even gave us some of her prizes, that's very touching Mandy." Heart said with a slight tears in her eyes
"That's not the case guys. It was because you paid for the fee of each game so that I can participate. Plus, I had fun in participating in it, that's what I am thanking you guys." Mandy can no longer hide her smile in them. The group looked at her, they never imagine she had a lively smile who could make them feel warmth inside their heart. They smiled, as they continued to walk.
They reach a building with a typical look outside, but in the door way a creature with an axe on its head stucked.
"Please come and enjoy the House of Traps" the creature said with a board in his hand. Free hospitalization and Souvenirs, with a small word insurance guaranteed.
"What do you think guys, its trilling right?" Grace excitedly asked.
"I've never tried that one. But you guys know we never been asked to help in this part of the fiestival. They have their own team to build it." Heart was unsure of the idea.
"I also heard they never let anyone know what happen or what is inside the building." Julie said trying to gulp down her fear.
"I noticed this place every year, its the only place they never change. Since it attracts visitors who wants challenge" Chris said with a deep thought.
"Yeah, I realized that too." Mandy noticed the lined up guest on the building.
"Why don't we join in?" Grace was still excited for the idea. The group failed to convince Grace to pass the idea. They lined up and wait in several minutes until its their turn. Each of them recieved harness and filled up the waiver.
Mandy felt a little nervous what will happen to them, since no one really knows what really is inside the place. They step in the entrance of the house of traps, it was too dark to even guess what's infront of them.
"Guys its a little chilly. It feels someones coming infront of us." Grace said with shaky voice.
"Now you felt terrified?!" Cris asked with a little irritated voice.
"It's too late to regret now, we should move forward." Heart said with determined voice. But, one of them step on the floor which just press down. A sudden creaking noise in their back. They look behind them too try see what coming too them. They still can't see, but a rolling noise keep nearing them.
"Guys, Guys!! Run!!" Mandy said as they run as fast as they could.
"It's a huge ball I think, are we going to run forever?" Julie complained, breathing deeply.
"When are we going to stop?" Heart asked. There's a long pause as they no longer feel the ground.
"Ahhhhhh!" "Wahhhhh" they shout as they fall.
"Hold on guys!" They all gathered around Mandy, she grew her wings and try to dragged up. They were too heavy for her, but she tried to carry them.
"Guy! Watch out!" Grace shouted as the spiked under them came near. Mandy gather her all strength and carry them away from it, until they safely landed away from it. They catch their breath in the moment they settled.
"Grace this place is going to kill us." Chris angrily said to her.
"No kidding guys, its not safe here." Grace added to what Chris just said.
They look around and saw some torches in the wall.
"How can we get out here?" Mandy asked them, she felt another memory coming to her as she smeel the ground and see the underground cave. A migraine weaken Mandy's balance, they noticed it and help her up as she lost her consciousness.
