"Fire, fire! quick and help!" The little boy stared helplessly at the flame as the house burnt down and couldn't cry because of the shock. Both of his parents were killed that night by an unknown arsonist.
"Such poor boy, such a shame his parents died so young, isn't it him who set the house on fire?" Rumors started circulating fast and it didn't seem to stop any time soon.
"Chen! Chen! Xiao Chen!" Little Chen turned around and saw his grandfather running to him. "Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Little Chen didn't say anything nor is he crying.
Little Chen nodded and answered, "I'm fine."
Little Chen walked away quietly to his grandparent's house. On his way there, a little girl stopped him. She was gentle to him because she saw the injuries on that little boy. The little girl told Chen to wait outside and not go anywhere.
"I brought medicine from my home, can I help and bandage your injuries?" Little Chen didn't say anything. The girl looked at the little boy and started to bandage him without saying anything. The little girl asked him, "Does it hurt? are you hurt anywhere else?" Little Chen stared at her blankly and shook his head. Finally Little Chen asked her, "What is your name?" The girl smiled and answered, "Yu, Xiao Yu."
Then, Xiao Yu's mother came running, "Xiao Yu! What are you doing? Get away from him! He killed his parents!" Xiao Yu looked back at Chen without knowing his name. "Mama! He's hurt so I bandaged him. Why are you mad?" Her mom answered sternly, "That little boy killed his parents! Everyone in this village knows! Don't ever play or talk to him!" Xiao Yu pouted but says, "Okay."
Little Chen came to his grandparent's house and his grandmother was waiting for him at the door. When he went in, Chen's grandma started to yell at him.
"Xiao Chen, it's all your fault that your parents died! Why did you kill them! You son of a bitch!" Little Chen's grandma was so angry that she threw a glass shard on his left eye. Little Chen didn't cry no matter how painful it is until that eye cannot see anymore.
