Today marks one year since i returned home with Adam. Healed myself and my son physically first since I had taken all of kane's hatred blindly while not realizing my son was also suffering along with me. Healed us emotionally, gave us our strength back, gave us our voices back, gave a life back and it has been amazing fighting this fight with my son. My son who laughs out loud, has comebacks that makes him blush, has his head up and shoulders back, stares at you while speaking, teases his grandfather, his younger uncle's and occasionally his elder uncle's when one against something he's invested in.
This is Adams second year and he has taken too the school work a lot better then when he started. His grades have gotten better, he started making friends, speaking if he had questions or answers and joined a few sport teams out. That's were I find myself at this moment, watching his soccer practice with Lucas who happens to be the assistant coach off Adams team. Adams skills have also gotten better and he is learning how to chase the ball and steal it off the next team, or helping his team mates while working together. Sebastian and I just casually watched on the sideline both watching the kids learn how to share the ball amongst each other. The way he cared about his team showed, how he never used physical force to take the ball from the next child he just aimed for the ball. His exuberance in a game has also been good it's what built his confidence and gained a lot of attention from other teams they played. showed how humble he was when other kids weren't as nice to them in return but he never showed it and would just continue as if it didn't matter and his team mates would follow along side him. His character is building beautifully, he smiles, he laughs, he talks, he teases all normal for a six year old, who went through a traumatic experience and came out slowly dealing with it and what the new day brings. His presence in the villa has definitely brightened our home, with child laugh, cry and voice. His character has definitely gotten better over this year. I say his mind is overcome the trauma until I see my son's memories that he suppress during the day, come out when he's sleeping and reaching around blindly that I sidle in next to him, to soothe him while he sleeps.
I run my hands through his curly locks and just embrace him like my most prized possession.
When m wind down a knock is heard on the door before it opens and in walks Quinn "Hi, your finally home?," I say as I slowly slide away from my son "How is he?," my brother ask as he then takes my spot as I move to the other side." He's okay, there not as regular or stronger," I spoke as I watch my son turn to snuggle against my brother. He has become so comfortable with every member in my family that he leans, lies or sits on everyone and he has even fallen asleep leaning on Raniera but if he is crashed out, Quinn always picks him up and takes him to bed. "How have you been ?? We have missed you ," I said to my brother as I turned to face him, "Work assignment that had me going out of the country for it, took longer too. How's mahi?," he asked as I got up and moved to the recliner so he could lie next to Adam. "Gotten easier, been able to finally know what to do with out stressing myself out about it," I said when I turned to face my brother who was cuddled up to Adam while tucked in his embrace "Kane terminated his parental rights," I said as I stared at my son "I didn't think he would sign it," I stated wishfully "He had some much ugliness inside that I'm shocked and ecstatic at the same time he signed but I'm also angry and hurt because of his selfishness that I want to just put him in the hospital eating through a feeding tube," I stated as tears flowed down my face "He deserves to feel what I do, once he's cleaned of the drugs. Want him to feel the enormity of his actions done," I rambled while tears flowed "How did you find out he terminated his rights and when?," my brother asked as he turned to look at me, "Red handed it to me today and it came with a letter," I said reaching to grab it and passing it to him, " Im relieved but I also feel cheated. He wanted Adam, he studied fertility, he took note of every cycle, how long it lasted, how much I lost, he was a fanatic about Adams conception. At the time I was ready for a new beginning, I wanted Adam too so I went along with him. Then Adam came and it was okay for a while, he loved him, he spoke to him everyday for a year. Every phone call was so he could see Adam and now he can't even take time to say he loves him.," I was seething, "When my son is older he will never get anywhere near him, he will never be able to see the magnificent boy he created with sweat, blood and tears.," I said with a determined heart. My son will have everything because of me and my family to stand there and support him. He is an intelligent. "It's his loss, he doesn't need that in his life, he has us," my brother spoke gently as he ran his hand through Adams hair. "How's the school?," Quinn asked as he had the school investigated so that we knew that he was safe. Due to my paranoia I needed to ensure his safety. "It's okay, it's gotten better. He's up to date with his homework and his studies have improved. He's made friends on his soccer team and found him talking animatedly with Noah," I spoke as I knew that my son was very closed off to people. "He is very close enough to Noah to talk animatedly. We are very close to the Lucas family and he is very comfortable in their presence now. As well as Noah is his soccer coach or did you forget?," Quinn asked as I just stared at him "No I didn't forget, he is definitely hard to miss," I mumbled as I resumed what I had been doing before he entered. "Noah wants to know if Adam will feel up to playing in the state competition as their team has been selected?," my brother asked "Can only ask him and will one of you go too?," I asked as I faced my brother " Yes, obviously I would go and you would too, wouldn't want him to freak out if he can't see us," he stated the obvious. of course that would be good I nodded "Okay Ile get Amanda to organize our accommodation." I spoke as I yawned "I'm going to bed, Goodnight Brother,," I said as I stood up and walked out. Getting ready for bed, I showered, brush my teeth, did my skin routine before going to bed.
Today was a busy day for us as we had a new company that had tendered a contract with us and they were coming in to sign it. Everything was being laid out and prepared efficiently as my eldest brother walked in with the Ceo of Radien Corporation Leighton Radien and an entourage of people filled the space when I knew my team did awesome. "This is Akarana King our third owner and our sister, This is Leighton Radien," Raniera spoke snapping me back to the moment when my brown eyes clashed with green eyes staring me up and down that made me pull myself together real quick when I saw his intensity, "Lovely to meet you," his smooth voice surrounded me as he took a hold of my hand to shake "Likewise," I spoke as I removed my hand and and moved by Quinn who sat on Raniera right and I'm on Quinn's right. The meeting last three hours with the final draft that will get this project moving. The conversation was easy and the design became alive in the eyes of the designer. As they were finishing up, my phone rung with Lucas face popping up "Excuse me, I need to take this," as I stepped into the connecting lounge and locked the door behind me before answering it "What up?," I asked as my brother face came into view "We going to dinner with the team and Adam wanted to ring you," as my brother passed the phone to my son "Hey my baby?," I spoke as my son's smiling face came into view "Hi mama, are you finished yet?," my son asked as I smiled at him yes "Yes we are just finishing up and just about too leave," I spoke as I watched my son nod at me "Meet us at the restaurant mama and we will have dinner there," my son said as he sent me kissy faces that just feeds my soul "Okay baby, we will see you there," I said before entering back into the room as Quinn shut the door behind the last of the guest, who was lead out but Raniera. "I'm going to meet up with Adam and his team for dinner at the restaurant," I spoke as I made my way to my office to grab everything I need, as well as some documents that I need to finalize, my laptop with the bag before donning my coat, by the time I had stepped back into the adjourning lounge my brothers were ready to go. "I'm meeting Adam and his team for dinner at the restaurant if both wanna head there with me?," I asked both my brothers as we glided through traffic heading to our main restaurant "Yeah sounds good," Raniera spoke as he furiously stabbed his phone "Everything alright big brother?," Quinn teased as he too noticed the extra attention his phone was getting "Olivia," my eldest brother spat that made us both start laughing "She is finished for the day, leave her be," I spoke when my brothers phone stopped replying to him and I could see how my brother was getting frustrated that I knew he really cared for her, while Quinn just sat there teasing him until we stepped into the restaurant listening to the chatters of excited children "Mama you made it," Adam voice floated above the other children "Yes I told you I would," I said hugging my beautiful son before walking towards his table with his uncle's who sat at the end of the table watching my sons interaction with his team mates, the children's food arrived on a platter for them to place on their own plates. Four different type of pizzas, three platters of french fries and three platters of Chicken Nibbles were placed on the table in front of all the children as they had said their thanks before digging in. My brothers were all just watching the dynamics between the fourteen children as they all spoke in excited tones, talking over each other on the best part of there game, the conversations were just flowing. The team consist of 8 boys and 6 girls and all of them have a great friendship to see how enthusiastic they all were together. At the end of season, the team has their break up at the restaurant and as sponsor of the team we provide them with their uniform, shoes, mouth guards, head gear, and all their equipment that we make as a donation for the start and end of every season for the team. It has yet to be defeated as our children join the summer club which helps them work on there performance, skills and how they can improve where they want it to be. To see the excitement on there faces about qualifying in the regional championship for the first time and top team in their ranks.
