Walking on the beautiful beach of the island was an absolute pleasure. She gently walked on the sand, frequently closing her eyes to enjoy the breeze carrying the flavour of the sea. The old dream of hers of selling bananas in Maldives seemed like a good choice right at this moment.
Unfortunately, she has heard more than two thousands of such beautiful islands would be engulfed by sea water, considering this it truly was unfortunate.
Although she had applied sunscreen she still wore casual pants with a oversized shirt which she tied in a knot at the front.
It was kind of weird walking on the beach dressed as such but it was comfortable, just how she liked it. The baggy t-shirt was a gift from Sakuya on her birthday the previous year, she herself designed it and then got it custom stitched. On the front side of this shirt there were some strange symbols, according to Sakuya these symbols were a legacy of the ancient worlds major civilisation, they apparently ward off evil spirits.
While on the back the word "Kisaragi" was printed in black ink, this word also happened to be her surname she took from her mother.
While she was strolling on the beach; suddenly someone came from behind and tapped on her shoulder. She had thought it was Madara but turned around only to find herself in front of a stranger.
He had long blond hair with streaks of bright yellow highlights. As much as his hairstyle was to her dislike, his face was not bad but she still felt Madara was more handsome. On the strangers fine features, at the corner of his eyes a line appeared when he smiled. She doesn't know why this stranger approached her and narrowed her phoenix eyes, her slender brow lifted in question.
He tilted his head a little, softly raised his eyebrows, with a smile said "Kisaragi?"
Her surname was spoken in a very clear voice, with a interrogative tone. She recalled a certain man telling her not to associate with strangers, therefore she did not bother with the stranger anymore and turned around to walk away.
Who would have known the strange man had such thick skin he followed after her and asked once more "You are Kisaragi-san?"
"What of it?"
"Didn't you attend X high school?" She promptly stopped to glance at him, how does this suspicious man know what high school she attended? Was he acquainted with anyone that knew her?
"Who are you?" She questioned, scrutinising him from where she stood. Her question almost made the young man want to vomit blood. How irrelevant was he to her?!
*FL generally has a good memory but remembering peoples names and faces is a problem she has, she also doesn't care to remember to make things worse
"What!? How could you forget about me?!" He suddenly screamed crazily. He was a handsome, energetic man with boundless charms for Christ's sake!
Seira stood silently, "...Do I know you?" It's possible they were acquainted at some point but she doesn't remember anyone from high school other than Sakuya who has been with her since childhood.
After finally calming down the stranger sighed. He should've expected as much, he studied her face. "You haven't changed" If he hadn't caught a glimpse of her last name at the back of her shirt when the wind lifted her hair, he wouldn't have known it was her at all.
He never thought that he would come across her of all people. Whether or not she remembered he had transferred into her school in their third year and was immediately mesmerised by her beauty, that was the start of his unrequited one-sided love. He continued to court her for the remaining year, but in reality it was really just him pestering her to get her attention. He was quite thankful she did not remember to save himself from the embarrassment.
When he offered to sit in a bar for a while, she contemplated whether or not to go but then again Madara would not go out with her hence why she went to the beach alone, she nodded in response to his invitation.
*ML was too shy~~
Then an asian woman with a fiery figure and gleeful face greeted 'stranger' not from far, he told her "You go ahead first, I have to catch up with a friend"
The beauty looked at her carefully from top to bottom, kissed 'stranger' and left merrily with a challenging light in her eyes, presumably determined that she was a rival.
"I really like a traditional asian woman" he said staring at the receding figure of the weird woman.
Her eyes wandered between the two, wondering if this is a traditional asian woman in these days.
At the bar she asked out of curiosity "How did you recognise me?" To which he responded her clothes, the surname Kisaragi is fairly rare.
*In this novels world Kisaragi shall be a rare surname.
He on the other hand very proudly said "This is fate, if there is grace, even thousands of miles apart we can still meet, that's us"
Enlightened, she thought how coincidental. When he asked her what she was thinking she said "Coincidences"
This made her think of Madara, there have been various incidents where they came across each other coincidentally.
"My name is Akiyama Yayoi," he continued.
"Kisaragi Seira" she replied blankly. She really is bored she thought to herself, otherwise why else would she converse with such a man. Judging one by appearances isn't a good thing, yes, but in this case just looking at his outward appearance and the woman she could tell he was a philanderer. If he knew what she was thinking he would surely be crying a river from sadness and grief.
He saw that she was sitting blankly, said in a dis-satisfactory tone "You are thinking something again, do you think I have intentions towards you?"
"No" she said nonchalantly.
"What you think doesn't matter, I anyway have intentions towards you" he said smiling carelessly.
She could not stand such brazen people and spoke coldly, "Quit joking"
"Then we should change the subject" he was about to say something when suddenly his phone rang. He pulled out his mobile phone "Excuse me, I have to take this call"
