Chapter 3 - Experimenting

Lin was slowly roused up by the sun's rays on him, and decided to go onto experimenting with the energy he found inside him after he absorbed the specks of light. Lin attempted to push out the energy and succeeded and was rewarded with a gust of wind pushing the grass and leaves around him.

After doing so Lin attempted to try and shape the energy into something similar to a blade however he was met with minimal success and eventually ran out of energy. He meditated to slowly recover the reservoir within his core and found that he could absorb more energy than he could yesterday.' from the looks of it the core of a magical/divine beast slowly widens due to the energy that they absorb and this allows them to rank up like human magi/warriors' Lin though.

Lin repeated this exercise for a few hours before he was finally able to shape and eject the energy in his body to something similar to a curved blade and promptly decided to name it Wind Blade. With that Lin decided to hunt and eat something that was more filling than fruits.

'For now ill try and kill ordinary animals and slowly work my way up to killing magical beasts for their cores' Lin though. After slowly stalking through the forest for a few minutes he was eventually able to cross upon a deer drinking from a river steam. Lin slowly attempted to get near the deer so he would be able to kill it with a wind blade. When he got within 10 meters of the deer he stopped and crouched low and shot out a wind blade.

Woosh

And with that the wind blade instantly went through the deer's neck like it was butter and decapitated it cleanly. 'Despite all the blood i don't feel even a bit uncomfortable, something like this definitely would've made me vomit in the past but I guess becoming a divine beast changed me somehow" Lin though.

Without hands or arms to carry the deer back home Lin simply decided to bite the deers body and slowly drag it back to the cave he called home, but he didn't notice the blood trail that was slowly dripping from the deers body and the glowing eyes that followed him.
