It's the next day and it's the weekend. So that means that there is no school or anything. Most of the students just stay inside during the weekend, but only a select few train wanting to improve their skills. One of those few includes Kame. Kame was persistent about training as he kept asking Kenshi to train with him until he finally gave in. Kame's main fighting style is Muay Thai, but he wanted to try others so he could be proficient in more than one style of combat. Kenshi only knew Muay Thai, Taekwondo and Aikido. Not that much of a variety. Kenshi told him that he's not a master in any of the three martial arts styles he knows, but he promised to train Kame to the best of his ability.
Kame and Kenshi are training and Kenshi can feel that Kame is growing in terms of strength as his hits are becoming more impactful. They spar for 2 hours until Kame falls from a kick and is laying down almost out of breath.
Kenshi: "You know training you has been a real highlight in my life."
Kame: " What do you mean by that?"
Kenshi: "I mean I really enjoy training you, It was fate that brought you to me and I feel like I was put in your life for a reason."
Kame: "You know I think you are right. It has only been me and my aunt for awhile and at one point I was not sure what I was going to do. The academy came in my life at the right time and so did you. Just when I needed someone the most, my needs were answered. I am truly thankful for what you are doing for me and my aunt, master."
Kenshi: "Hey just call me Kenshi."
Kame and Kenshi begin training again and it goes on for the rest of the day. The sky is dark as it's nighttime and Kame is called in for dinner. Kame and Kenshi fist bump and plan to train tomorrow. Jaken walks outside to tell Kame to make sure he washes his hands before grabbing food. When Kame goes inside Jaken stays outside to talk with Kenshi.
Jaken:" I truly thank you for what you are doing for Kame."
Kenshi:"Oh, don't mention it. Kame is a special young man, I'm honored to train him."
Jaken: "That's just it, you are not just training him."
Kenshi: "Huh?"
Jaken:"For the first time in months Kame has been smiling, he's been energetic and I can see he has a passion for this. You reawakened that youthful spirit I've seen in him ever since he was born. Thank you."
Kenshi just stares then turns around quickly to wipe the tears that are forming in his eyes.
Jaken:"You know, you are always welcome to stay for dinner. I'm sure Kame would enjoy that."
Kenshi wipes tears from his eyes and turns around with the biggest smile on his face.
Kenshi:" I could eat!"
They walk in together and Kame is excited to see Kenshi joining them for dinner as he rushes him a plate and hurried to sit down next to him. Truly a remarkable sight seeing Kenshi smile so big. Never in his life has he wanted something so bad, but never known until he received it.
Ziku and his mom are training until Ziku stops to ask her a question.
Ziku: "Mom how come my lightning is yellow and yours is blue?"
Natsumi: "There are different colors of lightning, each indicating the level of strength that user is at. Since you just started to see it and utilize it, it's yellow."
Ziku:" So since there's levels, what are the levels in which they increase and get stronger?"
Natsumi:" Hm let's see. It's kinda hard to detail because although the colors increase, each level has its own significant strength that makes it different from the rest. But if I had to make a list it would be: Yellow, orange, red, green, blue, purple, than white."
Ziku:"So cool! So that means yours is the third strongest?"
Natsumi: "Haha, yes that's one way of putting it."
Ziku: "So what color was dads?"
Natsumi: "Your dad had blue, but that was the last time I seen him fight. For all I know he could have surpassed his previous limitations."
Ziku:"That's so cool. Can you explain to me the strengths of each one?"
Natsumi: "Sure, But make sure to pay attention I don't want to explain it again later."
Ziku nods his head and pulls out a pen and paper.
Natsumi:" Where did you.. never mind.
Ok here's how it goes with yellow lightning it's mostly electricity so using this form would make you immune to electricity. That being said no other color would prevent it. With orange it's the best during combat. Red is the sharpest so it's more useful with cutting. Green is the most accurate of all colors since it's the calmest and easiest to control. Blue is best for attacks since it's the strongest it is said that blue lightning is able to destroy continents. Purple is the hottest and able to counter any other color of lightning but white. Now white, it's said to be a myth but white lightning is divine lightning and is said to only belong to the gods it's a level no mortal has reached."
Ziku: "Amazing, so only the best lightning users are able to use every single color to the best of their ability for an advantage in a fight?"
Natsumi:"Yes, But remember this, no lightning user can hurt another lightning user. They would just cancel each other out, or would be killed using an attack that is a double edged sword."
Ziku: " What is a double edged sword attack?"
Natsumi: " An attack meant to do damage on an opponent, but also leaves the user in critical condition or even death."
Ziku: "I hope I never see that, or get into a situation like that."
Natsumi: "As long as you fight your brains as much as your brawn you'll be fine Ziku."
Omoi and his mom are just eating in silence. Until Omoi breaks the silence.
Omoi: "So, when is dad coming home? It's been almost 5 years mom. Where is he? Why doesn't he care about us?"
Omoi starts to tear up as he waits for his mom to answer, but she just grabs her plate and leaves without saying a word. Omoi just stares in the direction she left and puts his head down crying.
Ziku ends up showing up to Omoi's house, knocking on his window smiling and waving. Omoi wipes his tears and runs to let Ziku in. Omoi is forced to put on a smile cause Ziku is there. They both decide to just go train. As they're training Omoi gets angry at his father mid fight and tries to hurt Ziku, which he does by creating a gust of wind that forces Ziku to hit a tree with forceful impact. As soon as Ziku hits it, he loses consciousness and falls to the ground. Omoi tries waking him up, but it doesn't work so he decides to bring him into his house and lay him down. While Ziku is unconscious he has a dream that he sees someone in shackles and chains. Ziku walks up to him, but it's just a silhouette.
Ziku: "What is this? Where am I?"
Silhouette: "Don't fight it!"
As soon as he says this, Ziku wakes up and is hyperventilating ultimately from being scared at whoever he just saw. Omoi runs in.
Omoi: " You're awake, what's wrong?
Ziku: " I think I'm just gonna go home."
Omoi gets sad and starts to thinking to himself what could Ziku have saw, and in his head he apologizes, but just can't say it out loud.
Ziku starts to walk home Omoi watching.
Omoi: " Hey Ziku, see you at the academy tomorrow."
Ziku: " Yeah."
Ziku is walking home and he's just in his own head about what happened. He's never saw anything before. So why now? What was the purpose of what he saw? Ziku decided to keep it to himself. As he got home it was already night time and Ziku stayed up the whole night scared of seeing it again. The next day as the sun comes up Ziku just watches it. Then he realizes he's going to be late to the academy again. He hurries to get dressed and rushes outside. He's trying to walk fast, but his eyes are weary and it's hard for him to focus. Then a bird lands on his shoulder, Ziku smiles and closes his eyes as he's walking and not paying attention. While he's walking he's about to run into a tree, but before he does the bird tweets in his ear giving him a warning. Causing him to jerk his eyes open and move in time to evade the tree. This repeats the whole time until Ziku gets to the middle of the village. The bird jumps and lands on Ziku's fingers. Ziku smiles and thanks the bird for guiding him and watches it fly away. He looks up and notices that he's already 7 minutes late. He rushes through the village and finally gets to the academy where everyone is staring at him again for being late.
Omoi: "How come you were late?"
Ziku: "I don't wanna talk about it."
As soon as Ziku gets to class, he listens to the teacher for mere seconds and then falls asleep.
Aizu: "Since we talked about chi the other day. I guess today would be perfect to talk about the categories that go along with chi and are determined based on your abilities. Can anyone tell me at least one category?"
Poku:"Um, is one of them manipulation?"
Aizu: "Yes, well done Poku! Like she said Manipulation is one of the 5 categories. Then you have Augmentation, Elemental Manipulation, Enchantment and Distinction."
Poku: "Oh I see, I knew Enchantment was one , but I wasn't sure."
Aizu: "You should always go with your gut. Now I'm going to explain them and I want everyone to pay attention. -Augmentation is when you can use your chi, harness and focus it into your fist or body making yourself stronger. This is for those who only really have martial arts, but are still able to use chi. -Enchantment is any magical ability. Thing about Enchantment is, it takes the most Chi to perform and some spells or curses may have huge drawbacks on the user. -Manipulation is the abilities to control a person or an animal or even a thing to do whatever they see fit. Manipulation could be used by any means, that is through mind, blood or seal.-Elemental Manipulation should be self explanatory, means a user could control any of the natural elements. Usually a user would be bound to only one element, but it isn't impossible to know and master multiple. -Distinction is unique abilities not following in either category listed above. It means the user has a special ability that can't be placed in either category. Less than 1% of the worlds population falls under distinction though. With all that being said, are there any questions?"
Aiko: "I umm, I have one."
Aizu: "Yes?"
Aiko:"So that means abilities like: Telepathy, Telekinesis and precognition would fall under Distinction?"
Aizu: "Precisely. You seem very knowledgeable about these abilities. Are there any more questions?"
No one raises their hand. So Aizu decides to just dismiss the class to Hozu.
All the students get to Hozu's room. In her room there are no desks or tables it's just an open room with a whiteboard.
Hozu:"I welcome all of you wonderful students to my class. We are going to have a great time here. My purpose is to understand all of your abilities and help you guys find ways to get the best out of your unique abilities and master all you need to know about them! As you can see I'm so excited!"
All the students just stare until.
Senpu: "Oh my god! I love this school for having so many hot babes!"
Kanju: "Still haven't changed huh?"
Senpu: "Dude it's like our teacher is a goddess sent from the god themselves! Just look at her curves! I gotta see more!"
Kanju: "I question why I still hang out with you."
Hozu: "Ok everyone, we're gonna start with only five people today. Any volunteers?"
Jiro: "Ooh me!"
Jiro jumps in front of everyone next to Hozu.
Jiro: "Hozu you might want to stand back."
Hozu takes a couple steps away.
Jiro: "BLAZE CONTROL!"
When Jiro says this his body becomes engulfed with flames all over surrounding his body creating an aura of fire.
Hozu: "Ooh a Fire user huh. Great, who's next?"
Aizu walks back in his class and sees Ziku sleeping still.
Aizu: "What the! Hey Ziku! Wake up!
Ziku jerks up and falls out of his chair.
Aizu: "Everyone else is already with Hozu, you should hurry up."
Ziku: "Right!"
Aizu: "And maybe get some sleep tonight."
Ziku stops by the door with a blank expression then hurried to Hozu's class. He walks in and again everyone just stares at him.
Hozu: "Glad you could join us. MR. Nakamura."
Ziku glances over to her
Ziku: "Please do not call me that. I'm sorry for being late."
Hozu: "Ziku, you should come up and show us your ability."
Ziku walks up without any hesitation. He puts both his hands together, and as he slowly pulls them apart there is lightning crackling. As it immediately goes away. Ziku gets nervous.
Hozu: "Was that it?"
Ziku: "Yeah, as of now that's it."
Hozu: "Who's next?"
Hiroyuki walks up without saying anything and before Hozu can even tell him to demonstrate, he grabs the wall and freezes the entire room. Hiroyuki looks around and notices that he froze everyone to the ground. He smiles but then sees Ziku. His feet aren't frozen.
Hozu: "Hiroyuki, let us free!"
Hiroyuki: "Sorry you'll have to wait for it to melt."
Shizuko and Jiro easily melt it from the feet. Kame breaks out of it using strength Kotai does the same. But it seems like everyone else will have to ask for help or wait until it melts.
Hiroyuki starts to think to himself. "How did I not get everyone? That's my fastest attack so far, it's supposed to freeze everything in the area in the matter of a second. No one could dodge that! But Ziku was yet the only one not frozen."
Jiro uses heat to get the ice from everyone's feet.
Hozu: "Ahh well who's next?"
Kireina walks up. Before she starts she tells everyone to go to one side of the room. Then when they do she puts her hand up and covers the other side of the room with vines.
Hozu: "Ooh that's pretty."
All the girls are amazed by Kireina and her ability.
Ziku: "Plant manipulation. It's beautiful!"
Hozu: "Alright, who's next. This is our final volunteer for today."
Chiori: "I'll go. I'll need a volunteer though. How about you Shizuko?"
Shizuko: "I'd rather not."
Chiori:"Come on your Fire would be a perfect example!"
Shizuko just ignores her keeping his eyes closed.
Jiro: "I'll do it."
Chiori: "Huhhh ok. I want you to attack me with fire."
Jiro: "Are ya sure?"
Chiori: "Yes!"
Jiro puts his hand up and throws a fireball at her. When it gets to her, she puts her hand out causing the fire to disappear. Jiro is surprised and confused.
Hozu: "I see, fire negation."
Chiori: "No, it's elemental negation, I can nullify all elemental attacks. But my negation is only as strong as my chi. So if an opponent has a higher amount of chi I won't be able to negate it. Thank you Jiro for holding back."
Jiro: "That's amazing!"
Chiori blushes and looks at Shizuko, but his eyes are closed still making her sad that he didn't see her.
Hozu: "Ok everyone we are done for today, now it's time for you guys to go and practice with Asuna."
All the boys rush out and hurry towards Asuna and the training grounds."
When they get there they all see Asuna levitating again because he's meditating. They all just stare because no one wants to interrupt him and make him angry.
Shizuko: "Hey, Old man, you're supposed to train us damnit!"
All the boys:"Shhhhhhh!"
Asuna opens his eyes and slowly descends back to the ground. He looks around at all the students.
Asuna:"Leave!"
Shizuko: "What the hell you mean leave! I'm here to get stronger, I came here to train, not to be told to leave by some old man!"
Hiroyuki: "Calm down you hot headed freak."
Shizuko: "You want to be the first person to see what I'm made of!?"
Hiroyuki: "You're not worth getting my hands dirty."
Shizuko: "What did you say!"
Asuna:"Calm down, all of you. Let's get started."
Asuna unleashed a high amount of Aura causing everyone to shake.
Kame: "Aizu already did that, that trick won't work on me anymore!"
Asuna uses his hand and gestures for Kame to come on.
Kame rushes towards him with a kick, Asuna easily dodges and grabs his leg slamming him to the ground.
Asuna: "Asuna who's next?"
Kame: "I'm not done yet!"
As he jumps up and attacks Asuna with a combo, but every single hit is blocked. Then Hiroyuki freezes the ground as it goes all the way to Asuna forcing him to jump up. When he does Jiro is waiting for him with a flame fist. It gets easily countered as Asuna grabs Jiro and throws him at Kame making them collide. Then Shizuko and Hiroyuki rush him both attacking with combos, but when Asuna dodges he makes them hit each other, causing Shizuko to get angry at Hiroyuki for being in his way. When he turns his head Asuna kicks him across the facility and punches Hiroyuki to the floor.
Asuna: "Is that it?"
Asuna looks as he sees that everyone else is just standing there watching. Before he announces class is over Kame gets back up and throws a punch, Asuna blocks it, but the impact of Kame's punch created a gust of wind behind Asuna that caused the students behind them to go flying.
Asuna: "This session is over. You all may go home."
Omoi: "Uhh, this is so annoying!"
Ziku: "What's wrong?"
Omoi: "I wanted to fight Asuna, but my body wouldn't move, like it was still scared of his Aura and I couldn't fight it. Guess I got more training to do."
Ziku: "Yeah, me too."
Aiko walks out with the rest of the girls.
Ziku: "Where were you guys?"
Aiko: "Hozu wanted us to stay back so she could talk to all of us about where we wanted to train."
Everyone gets startled because Shizuko starts yelling.
Shizuko: " Where were you huh? Your scary ass didn't go after Asuna once!"
Kotai: "I was waiting for an opening."
Shizuko: "Hmph, yeah right!"
Shizuko walks home angrily. Hiroyuki walks home without saying anything.
Kame was the only one who came out smiling.
Jiro: " Why are you smiling? We got our ass kicked."
Kame: " I do not know, I guess I just had fun."
Jiro smiles at Kame
Jiro: " I did too, don't worry tomorrow we get another chance!"
Their whole conversation Ziku was just staring. Then he looks at Omoi.
Omoi: "Well, I'm gonna go home I'll see you later Ziku."
Ziku: "No wait, Omoi come over and have dinner my moms making our favorite!"
Omoi: "Yay!"
Ziku: "Aiko, you should come too!"
Aiko: "Umm, I don't know."
Ziku: "You'll be fine."
Ziku starts to smile at her, then he looks over and sees Isamu all alone waiting.
Ziku: "Hey, Isamu! You wanna come to my house for some food?"
Isamu smiles. "Sure!"
Ziku: "Jiro! Kame! You guys should come over for some food, I might as well make it a party haha."
Jiro: "Oh yay! Food!"
Kame: "Sure."
All of them walk home as a group talking and laughing. When they get to his house, Ziku tells them to wait outside for a second.
Ziku: "Hey mom, I brought a few friends from the academy here to eat dinner. Is that ok?"
Natsumi: "I don't see why not, I just have to make enough food for everyone else, there's only enough for me and you right now. Actually no, I made a plate for Omoi."
Ziku: "Yeah Omoi is here a lot haha, but great I'll tell them!"
Ziku walks outside to everyone gone. He is confused. He walks to his room to see everyone in there.
Omoi: "Oh hey, I brought everyone to your room."
Ziku: "I see that. Anyway my mom has to make more food, she didn't know about all of you so it's gonna take awhile."
Aiko: "I'll help her."
Aiko goes into the kitchen and introduces herself as she asks to help Natsumi. They start making the food and then start talking.
Natsumi: "So Aiko, about you and Ziku."
Aiko turns completely red and starts sweating.
Aiko:"Huh?"
Natsumi: "How did you guys meet?"
Aiko: "Oh, umm, I think one day I was alone and Ziku and Omoi were walking as they found me. Ziku came up to me and he was so kind. We talked for a little bit and then he has to leave. We met again after that, and that's when he got me to join the academy with him."
Natsumi: "Ah I see, that Ziku, just like his father. They're so good with making friends with almost anyone and everyone. It makes you wonder why they would have enemies. Or why anyone would dislike them."
Aiko: "I've noticed Ziku and Omoi are like two peas in a pod. Have they always been close?"
Natsumi: "They been together ever since they were born. I mean Omoi is a little older, but they've always been close. Kasai has to leave when Ziku was 2, but I'm grateful he had Omoi, who was like a brother to him. But then Omoi left with his parents somewhere for some time. Ziku was sad yes, but Kasai has come back and his timing was perfect since Ziku's birthday was coming up. Ziku was 5 when he met his dad and was able to talk. The moment was just great. As well all know, moments don't last in this world and a lot changed."
Natsumi stops talking as she just stares at the plates about to cry. But then Aiko puts her hand on top of Natsumi's and begins to smile.
Aiko: "It's ok."
Ziku walks in and makes Aiko jump.
Ziku: "Need help with the plates?"
Natsumi: "Yes. Grab two plates and bring them to the table."
The table is set with 6 plates around it as Natsumi grabs her plate and sits down. Ziku goes to tell everyone it's time to eat.
Ziku: " Make sure you wash your hands!"
Isamu: "Please do. Germs are no joke!"
Everyone gathers around the table and sits.
Everyone: "Thank you for the food!"
Natsumi: "you're all welcome."
Everyone is eating enjoying the food. Once they're done. They all thank Natsumi and Aiko for preparing the meal. They all try and go home, but it's night out and Natsumi suggest that they sleep over for the night since it's no bother and they have enough room. All of them sleep in Ziku's room since he has a whole bunch of sleeping bags. Before going to bed Kame does hand stand push-ups and Tai chi.
Jiro: "What are you doing?"
Kame: "I always exercise before I go to sleep. It's also part of my training!"
Everyone just watches him until he finally finishes and immediately falls to sleep. Lights go out and they all fall asleep.
It's the next morning and Kame is first awake as he stretches and gets pumped for the academy. Him being hype ends up waking everyone else up except Ziku.
Jiro: "Um, how did he sleep through that?"
Omoi: "Ziku is a heavy sleeper, like extremely heavy."
Aiko: "We should wake him and leave, academy starts in 45 minutes."
Omoi goes to Ziku then picks up a pillow to throw it at him and it hits him causing him to fall on the floor. He's still sleep, but time is of the essence as now they all think they know the reason Ziku is always late. Aiko walks over to Ziku to try and wake him up, she places her hand on him and he wakes up and looks around confused. They all yell at him to hurry up so they can leave. Ziku rushes to get dressed and they all head to the academy. As they're walking they go through the forest where all the animals are. Ziku keeps stopping to play with all the animals and they have to keep rushing him. Then they walk through the center village and finally make it to the academy with 4 minutes to spare. Aizu walks in.
Aizu: "Oh hey, looks who's finally early."
Jiro: "I finally see why he's always late he stops to play with animals and he wants to help everyone he sees in need."
Omoi: "That's just who he is, you can't be mad at him."
Isamu: "We got to experience Ziku's morning haha."
Aizu: "Hmm, he loves nature and helping people huh. Honestly I'm not surprised."
The rest of the class walk in and Aizu begins.
