*Clang! Clang! Clang!* *Crackle Crackle* Swords clashing, houses burning, the
air is filled with death.
*ROAR!* Beasts Rampaging through the village, people desperate to flee
it. It's a battlefield of a one-sided battle. "AAAAH!" "SPARE ME!" "I
DON'T WANT TO DIE!" "SAVE MY CHILDREN!" Countless screams can be
heard from where I watched, as these invaders attacked us. "RUN AWAY!
Your mother and I will catch up to you!" my father yelled with anger and
pain in his words. "B-but!" "Razael! Go now! We will catch up to you, I
promise." Listening to them, I ran as fast as I could, as I sprint throughout
the village, dead bodies we're the first things i saw, corpses of once kind villagers scattered
around I can't do anything but close my eyes as I ran.
*Clang! Clang!* I am running, through everything then suddenly - *Woosh!*
a strong gust of wind stopped me on my tracks. When I opened my eyes, I
was paralyzed with fear. A wyvern was towering in front of me, the wyvern
quickly swooped down to attack me, but before he could reach me I heard
a voice. "Lumen Shot!" *Fwoot* *ROOOAR!* a magic arrow flew right into
its left eye, making it crash down. When I looked back, it was mother, and
she was bleeding really badly. "MOTHER!" I cried as ran towards her.
"Razael…" she mumbled as she collapsed on the floor. "Mother, MOTHER!"
as I was trying to wake her up, another soldier is slowly creeping behind
me. I noticed his shadow looming over me, and when I turned around he
was ready to swing his sword. "FOR CRONICA!" yelled the soldier. I braced
myself as he swung his sword when suddenly *Clang!* father parried his
attack and split the soldiers sword in half. As the soldier retreats father
turns around "Razael! Lucia! Are you alright?!" "Mother is hurt!" i cried as
tears roll down my cheeks. "Dry your tears! Help me carry your mother!"
*Crackle Crackle* *Crash* *Kaboom* Burning buildings began to crash while
we are passing by, soldiers still marching into our village, slaughtering and
stealing as they please. We made it into the forest nearby, once we got in
pretty deep, we rested under a tree. Father took out some potions and let
mother drink it. "Leo… Razael…" mother mumbled "Save your strength my
love, try not to speak." I was in this state of shock, and now, I felt some
relief, father is wounded as well, his clothes in tatters. Despite the dire
situation, he looked at me with kind eyes and a warm smile, "You did
good my son, I'm proud for I have a brave son like you." For a moment I
thought that it was over, until we heard distant rustling. *Rustle Rustle
Rustle* As the sound keeps on closing in on us. Father drew his sword,
"WHO"S THERE! SHOW YOURSELF!" from the bushes, a hooded figure
appeared before us. Slowly walking towards us, he unsheathes his blades
while eyeing us. "What do we have here? Escapees from the Village?" asks
the hooded man "Don't come any closer! Or else!" father gripping his
sword tightly, with a smirk on his face the man said. "Or else what? you're
gonna flail that sword around until you hit something?" Father began to
compose himself, taking a stance and readying his sword, "Or else I would
be forced to move you." The attacker suddenly rushed to us, father then
meet him half-way his dash and blocked the attack, *Clang Clang Clang*
every time their weapons clash, the sound of metal resounds through the
forest and sparks flew to the air. The hooded man backed off and asked
"Who are you?! How can anyone here be this strong?!" father stood and
focused, then energy gathered towards him "My name is Leonhart, Leonhart
Vermillion!" "That's impossible! That name is just a myth!" While the
hooded man is still shocked and hesitating, father began chanting a spell
"Fire of the phoenix, flame of rebirth, cover me with your feathers and
burn my enemies into dirt, Phoenix Enchant: Scarlett Blade!!" father's sword
became covered with scarlet flames, and father's eyes changed, it was
glowing with energy.
"NO!, no no no no no!" The man saw this and tried to run, but just as he
turned his back on us to flee, father rushed to him in an instant. In an act
of desperation, the hooded man threw blades to the air, he deflected most
of it but then some blades flew towards me, "RAZAEL! LOOK OUT!" frozen
in fear I watched as the weapon fly towards me, before they hit me,*Stab
Stab Stab* "UGH!" mother shielded me from it and caught it all on her
back. "Razael… are you alright?" mother said as she looked at me. "LUCIA!"
father shouted, enraged from what just happened, he looked at the hooded
man, cowering in fear, "Please, I beg of you, spare my li-" and before he
could finish his sentence, father struck the man and he burned down to
ashes in an instant, he ran to us, with tears in his eyes, holding mother
close. "Lucia… please don't leave us now." "I'm sorry Leo… but I feel like…
my time has come…" I watched as father cried, holding mother's body
tightly, I am still in shock, I can't believe what just happened, but my
father look at me and said "Razael, it's not your fault, she died protecting
you." Just as this occurred, more men showed up, and tried to attack us,
father protected me from them, *Clang Clang Clang* weapons clashing,
bodies dropping, but the more father defeat
quest would we take today?" Thea butted in the conversation and looked
at us as she traps air in her mouth, "It better not have anything disgusting
again, like spiders and slimes." Sol laughed and said "So, Rats would be
okay?" "No way! They are more horrible than spiders!" Thea's face began
to loose color. "I was just kidding, right?" Sol said with a nervous
expression. "Well, we should pick anything that involves helping people."
They both looked at me and smiled "There you go again with that phrase."
"You really like helping other huh Raza" I replied with conviction "Of
course!" both of them sighed.
We went to the Board and picked a lot of quest, we ended up fixing a
fence, killing some giant spiders, catching toads and feeding the orphans at
the orphanage close to the guild, "We really did ear a lot today huh!" Sol
excitedly walk on our way home, "Well of course, we basically took all the
easy quests today, except those spiders…" Said Thea "*Yawn* We should
call it a day then, I'm tired." Sol says with his sleepy face. On our way
home, I saw a group of people in an alley. I stared for a moment and
noticed something. "You guys go on without me, I have something to do
before we go home." "Hmm? What is it Raza?" asks Thea "It's nothing,
don't worry about me, I'll catch up later."
As I run towards the alley, I saw a kid beaten to the ground by nobles.
*Whack* *Crack* "H-help me…" "No one is gonna save you!" *Whack* "This
is where you belong, in the dirt." *Snap* "This is what you get for making
fun of me, a noble!" *Whack* *Oomf* "Stop what you're doing right
now!" I shouted "This is none of your business low-life! Get lost!" Says one
of the nobles "I heard the kid cry out for help, and so I will help her." I
said while readying my short sword "HA! You think you can scare us with
that measly sword? I graduated top of the magic class at the academy! I
have the tile of "Salamander" bestowed upon me at graduation!" proclaims
the noble. "Titles are meaningless if you use it to brag and hurt others!"
"Prepare yourself worm! Fire Shot!" *Fwoof Fwoof Fwoof* I kept on
dodging the fireballs that he hurled at me while moving closer to him.
"Impossible! How can a commoner move like that?" asked the noble
"Maybe you just can't aim Sir Salamander?" as I say that, the noble
snapped and started chanting "Ancient Fire heed my call, Burn my enemies
to a crawl, Flame Blast!" "A tier-2 spell?! We are in a populated area!! I
can't dodge it, it's too risky!"
