"Never mind. I need to hang up now."
Before Audrey said a reply, Aiden hanged up because Tiffany is coming. It seems that she re-touched her make-up and arranged her hair. They began walking again. This time they went at the garden at the top floor of the building.
There were lots of couples walking around hand in hand while enjoying the scenery. The area is really well known as a lover's paradise. The willow trees and beautifully arranged flowers were really astonishing. The landscape was well made. There were different sculptured fountains with dancing water and lights. There's even a pond that has lots of Koi swimming on it.
Audrey went closer and hid behind a big tree where she may be able to hear the conversation of Aiden and Tiffany who stopped in front of the pond.
"It's so beautiful here." Tiffany said while enjoying the view.
"I guess it is."
"It seems that this will be our last stop. I'm really sorry that I needed to leave early. My agent called me and she said that I needed to meet our new client today."
"It's okay. Did you have fun?"
"Yes totally. I'm really happy. This must be one of my happiest days."
"Tiffany actually I…"
"No. Don't say anything yet." She said cutting short Aiden's sentence. She then faced him and looked at him seriously and said, "Aiden I know you know how much I like you right now. I'm really serious. In fact, I don't care if you are a "Wang". I really like you for a long time now."
"Tiffany…"
"Wait. I know what you'll say. So please before you say anything can you please do me a favor?"
"A favor?"
"I know that I may be a pushy and demanding at times but I love you. I really do."
Aiden remained silent and chose to listen to what she would tell him. He knew that this won't really end well. But since Tiffany has worked up the courage to finally tell him how she feels, he let her tell him everything.
"Though you always push me away, you were my inspiration. Well, you push everyone away from you but still you cared when you saw me trip and sprained my ankle before. I am not like other girls who are after your surname and all. I don't need money. I don't need fame. I need you.
But I know now that after today who I really am to you. I've known it but still you gave me a chance and I'm really grateful. Not everyone can get a chance to have a date with their dream guy so I guess I'm lucky enough. So before you dump me and all, can you please just let me do one thing?"
Aiden looked at her and asked, "What is it?"
Tiffany looked at him seriously and said, "Let me kiss you. Just once."
"Will that make you happy?"
"Yes."
Audrey heard everything right. Tiffany just asked for a kiss! She was so surprised that she furrowed her eyebrows as she look at the two of them. This time, she can only see Aiden's back clearly. She can see Tiffany but only a side of her.
She then saw Tiffany wrapped her arms around Aiden's neck. Before she sees anything more happening, she decided to run far away from them.
Tiffany came closer to Aiden. She slowly wrapped her arms around him. She tipped her toe and slowly moved her face closer to him but as expected Aiden looked away and gently pushed her away, rejecting her.
"I'm sorry." Aiden apologized.
"It's okay. Actually I'm the one who should apologize. I was greedy."
"I can't return your feelings to you."
"I know. You were generous enough to ask me on a date. Thank you."
"Yeah. I guess I am."
"Take good care of her."
"What?"
"Audrey. She's been following us."
"You noticed that too?"
"Yeah. She's really determined. It seems that she doesn't know it herself but I know that she likes you too."
"You know?"
"Of course. She's all that we've talked about earlier. You were so happy mentioning her to me. She was actually such a clutz letting me go on a date with you but if she's with you then she's in good hands. Though we've only spent a little time together I know that she's someone with a good heart."
"Thanks."
"Now, shouldn't you be chasing her now? I really thought that she'll went home earlier when we met but I guess she's more determined than I am. She actually looked feverish when we parted."
"What? She is?? I need to go now. By the way, thanks Tiffany."
Aiden left and Tiffany was alone now. She felt her heart breaking but thinking that Audrey is the one that he likes is making her feel eased. She happened to be a good friend of hers on such a short time.
Audrey stopped at a corner near the parking lot feeling exhausted after running fast. Her head actually feels like it was being screwed and opened. She also felt really cold right now. Not drinking medicine on time seemed to be really bad then.
She was still thinking what she almost witnessed earlier. She is now imagining that Tiffany indeed had kissed Aiden for real. Thinking about it makes her head ache more. She then touched her head trying to put together what's on her mind but it's not working.
After trying to gather her thoughts, she stood straight and began walking with her eyes half opened. But the moment she started walking, she immediately bumped on to somebody.
"I'm sorry." She said. But before she even looked who the person is in front of her, she noticed a very familiar scent that made her took a step back on her surprise and asked, "Aiden?"
"You are not good at hiding you know." He said with a smirk.
"What do you mean? Who's hiding?" Her head begins to ache more and more now that the person who she least expected to see right now is in front of her.
"I know that you've been following us earlier."
"'Us' huh? Why'd leave your girlfriend then and chose to chase a spy?"
"We didn't kiss if that's what you're thinking. I rejected her."
"What? Why?"
"She knows that I'm madly in love with somebody else that's why."
"Stop. Don't err… say such a thing. You're making my head…ache." She touched her head with her left hand and felt her pulse trying to explode from her head.
"Audrey? Are you okay???" He said holding her shoulders looking at her with such concern.
"Mnh. Sorry. My head feels so heavy right now." She leaned on to Aiden for all her strength is starting to fade away. Somehow, being with him right now really makes her feel so calm and safe.
Aiden willingly caught and embraced her. He felt Audrey hold his shirt and crumpled it a little. He looked at her and saw how innocent she looked right now. He met her eyes who are weakly looking at him but when she uttered such words, he ended up smiling.
"Why do you look so handsome right now? That's dangerous."
He almost laughed because Audrey looked real sick right now and that's what she said. He then asked, "What's dangerous about me?"
"You always being there when I needed you…you're making me so confused."
"What is?" What Audrey then said surprised him and had almost caught him off guard.
"I...might end up…loving you." Audrey then closed her eyes.
Aiden looked at Audrey who is now fast asleep. He gently caressed her cheek with his right hand and said whispering on to her ears, "I'm yours to keep."
