♫Kevin MacLeod ~ Meatball Parade♫
Conny: [STOP FIDDLING WITH THAT THING AND HELP US!]
Chuni: [But we need theme music!!]
The hustle and bustle of the room wherein the 5 are scrambling for any ideas for helping our protagonist. Unfortunately, Chuni was not much help at all. It was considered a nuisance by Conny and Monk for fiddling in the corner of the screen that has a music note to it. With his voice protesting the importance of 'theme music.' Chuni's sanity was also being taken note of by the two.
Thus Conny and Chuni proceeded to argue further... neglecting the 8-9 year boy currently running away from an oh-so-hungry bear.
It has come to the attention of Monk of the wasted helpfulness these two are bringing to the present situation. However, he lacks the social capacity to diffuse the nuisance in this kind of predicament. He strode towards Chuni within a few steps away and just stare at him. Maybe hoping they will come to an understanding with this gesture.
Surprisingly, it did.
Antique: [Run Seppy me, boy! Run! HAHA! Oi! this be fun!] as he laughs and hops around with renewed vigor of an old man.
"AHHH! I. Can't. Breat- *whush* AHHHHH!" as Seppy, the boy, has dodge death yet again from a huge paw attack of the enormous strange bear
Conny: [Bob and weave! d-d-don't! no! b-ob a-an- oh shit duck!] as he carefully tries to navigate Seppy, the boy from both dodging the incoming death slap and with his sorry sense of direction
"BUAHHHHHHH BUAHHHH" thus Seppy the boy has now started crying.
Specs: [Enough with the crying. The probability of your expiration due to asphyxiation from crying is much higher than extreme blunt and puncture trauma... IHH!. So sorry, Sir] specs looked to his side and saw Terminator-like eyes of Monks' looking at him. Monk was not pleased with the added information from him towards helping Seppy, the boy.
Conny: [Now run! Left side! LEFT! you-- THE OTHER LEFT!]
Chuni: [Mhm hmm. I have no idea why are we still alive]
"You said left! Then you said right! Right! *thud* AHH! I tripped! you dickhead!"
The situation is not looking bright for our hero, with the bear hot on his ass. Dodging, running, and getting lucky. How long can he keep it up? Keeping himself alive for that long while keeping himself sane?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Conny: [You wanna live?! Keep running!} then he reared his head at Specs [Specs! Any good news on your end? things are not looking good!}
Instructing Sepiroth from the inside of the 'Consciousness' as Specs called it. During the available time they have. They'd familiarized themselves with the screen. Multiple persuasion via physical contact (kicking, punching, karate chopping, and running towards the screen) and verbal persuasion (verbal abusing an inanimate object) worry not! Even though they are exhausted with both actions and words, somewhere on the 7'o clock position of the screen. A table with a qwerty keyboard and in-between it is a 12x12 mini-blocks that are blank. Touching those blocks did absolutely nothing.
Specs volunteered to handle the qwerty table.
However, when Chuni shouted [Stupid Screen! I need some stupid Theme Music!] a mini screen popped up like a scroll feature from a jukebox. But the music choice is simple, and to his delight, too many kinds of music are in it.
Moving on.
Specs: [Chances of success are currently slim! The update process of the map is based on the relative position and now traveled and perceived area! Positive Negative 1.2 Seconds! Direct the kid to look ahead!]
Conny: [Posi-negab? What?!]
Specs: [It is not fast enough!]
Chuni: [Map. MAP! Map? W-what map? There's a map? Map to what? Here? how!!-- HmmBMm!] Monk grabbed Chuni and held his hand to his mouth, silencing him for a moment
Monk: [Do so, my fellows. For the child needs so. As meager as I may be. I wish to relieve him from this predicament. Silencing this... moron... will be a step closer to that goal.] cupping his hand to Chuni's mouth. Standing. An audience to the cacophony of things which to come. which to his prayer to health and survival of the boy
With a slap of his thigh, Antique: [oi! Dear me, look at that timber! See! see! See! las' me saw that tally sky timber is the 14th harsh winter from me ol' funny trip] In his own little part of the consciousness. He was largely ignored amongst the 5 of them, for he just sat down and crossed his legs. Silence flowed to him. Silent to the figure in his sights. Silent to the screen that popped up next to him. Whistling a note and a few head scratches. He nods to himself. Silent. Accepting a fact... He had no idea what the fuck is going on. As the confusion overwhelms his thoughts, he did what he always did when something comes his way... Look around and try to do what others are doing.
So he did. He remembered he mimicked the boy from earlier about his hand with the up and down motion, but that didn't do anything. He tried Chuni's hand gesture by flicking his finger up and down, but that didn't do anything either. He tried karate chopping that screen of his but got surprised instead when his hand passes through it. Perplexed, with a scratch on his head, he tried that praying gesture that Monk was usually doing. He was fond of the idea of putting his hand together, and a sound was made. He played with the idea so much that Monk thought that he already lost. However, while playing with the sound did entertain him that much, the hand motion of swiping left and right was the main focal point of his craziness. It made a reaction to the screen.
He entertained himself with the new profound knowledge he had with his hand while also thinking inappropriate things with this gesture. With this curiosity, he just flicks his hand in the center of the screen and played out a video from the earlier time Seppy was running. As if he found a mistake in the play he was watching, a large tree too large that stood up to the clouds caught his attention not because it may play a vital role in the kid's survival. Still, he just wanted people to hear his story that he saw a huge tree.
Immediately rearing his head at Antique, Conny: [Tree?! What tree?!] however, as he currently deals with saving the kid's life. It did not take long to found a scapegoat for it. [Argh! Fatso! Hey! made yourself useful and go check in with the old man]
Chuni ran fast considering that physique of his. It was truly amazing to see.
Chuni: [Sir, can we politely ask for you to sto-- Holy Shit! it's a freaking replay screen!]
From treating the old man as a nuisance to treating him long before a best friend, Chuni asked Antique all sorts of questions, and after some 15 seconds of talking with him. He quickly ignored him and just swipe left and right at the screen. Experimented for a bit.
He paused for a moment. Chuni: [Oh. Feels like looking at a divine tree but a dead one at that] rubbing his chin with his index finger as he curiously studied the replay vid
Feeling a headache coming in. Conny: [Eyes! what is this tree he talking about!]
Against the mad tone of Conny and the strangling stare of Monk, Specs did not care. Specs: [Correct. there is a tree]
It could only be heard from inside the mind of Conny. Of the anger and shattering of his sanity along with this predicament. Conny: [Phalic head! You better talk some sense now! before I cave you in your white cock suit!]
Specs just replied nonchalantly.
Conny was awed, for his threat did not work.
Antique was enjoying it. Entertained, in fact, for this really gave him a different point of view other than the current bleak situation from the kid. for him, the present entertainment is the utmost priority. Just not the end of hedonistic touch. Just some release to this unwell mood.
Monk: [Refrain!] as he posed and he tilts his head upwards a bit then with his booming voice [Do this again, and I will feign my vow to my diety per everyone.] then he paused for a moment. [Help the child]
Speaking out first. Specs: [East. Unclear distance.]
Running towards the main screen. Conny: [Kid! I need you to run East. If you find a very huge tree that looks gloomy and dead. head towards it!]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"AHHH! you said east!" as he screamed in his consciousness, "I keep turning east, then you keep on shouting at me!" then he cried out
With a slam of his hand towards the screen, though surprised, his hand made contact that made a hollow sound. Conny: [EAST IS RIGHT YOU MORON! NOW KEEP RUNNING!]
There is not enough time to argue with the man; Tired, heart racing, lungs burning, and hope are weakening. He weaves himself away against the aching legs. Right he turns.
However, it is not without any danger as the bear saw its chance to grab its elusive prey. It made, instinctually, a path of ambush for it. A few more distances away and can smell it more closely, it is ever more hungry from the last wolf meal though undone it was, the little runt will be a fulfilling meal for the day. As they near the path set for it to struck, It lunges forward! And stop to check its massive paws but confuse that there are no bits and pieces of the runt. It laid down its paws and look around, and then a rustle was heard, and without any wind, it can't smell its prey, but this runt can't be that far.
As Sephiroth dove down to the right, as luck was to his side. It was a slope, thus providing a moment of peace through this slide down. He came down without any injury, just that he needed a big breather moment from the running. He thought, why is he still able to run that far despite having this body. But quickly rub it off his thoughts as he saw, on the end of the tree line, a silhouette of a very tall tree that's looking too dead. He did not clearly think much about it since the jokers inside said it's a huge tree that punctures the sky and needs to reach that tree. He did not care how far it is just that he needs to see a clear line of sight of it and drag his feet and everything of himself to the damn tree.
He ran again, and as he did previously, he made an evident noise that the bear quickly took notice of. Once again, this chase has come again.
The moment he entered the forest, he swerved himself to the left then dove down. Evading the bear's tackle that instead, a tree took the brunt of it, a few seconds was bought, but the bear's eyes were glued to the runt and without pause took a chance to swipe the runt with its paws but to no effect.
"Which way?!" as he leaned his shoulder along a tree and took a deep breath a one or two, then bolted it. Narrowly escaping death and yet another tree took the hit.
Conny:[Uh. Just Straight! Don't ask again! just listen to me. I'll guide you in!] then both he and Specs were arguing back and forth about distance. Conny does not recognize any of the terms. Specs just describe, so Chuni became the unofficial layman.
"I'll HA! have you know! I can't do HA! for longer! HA!" he screamed out loud out of breathing in every step. A miracle he still can run. He will stay on. He runs and keeping on dragging his body forward. Swerve this, dodge that, breath in, 4 steps, then breathe out, dive, after 4 tries can now roll dodge without his landing shoulders overtly aching after a roll, and so much.
As the plot armor does what it does, a plotting service has been finally given. Luck is on Sephiroth's side... but it's up to you whether it's a good or a bad one because he just came out of the edge of the forest and was in awe. The sight of the tree was beholding to see.
Monk was aghast with what he saw. Saying something about not having the chance to see its splendor.
Chuni, too was surprised. He describes his childhood stories about sacred trees. joking about it not being authentic and it just folk tales... even so, he can't avert his eyes towards it
Specs just didn't care.
Antique, along with his senility, having trouble discerning about the tree. It might be too huge, but it's still a tree and a dead one at that.
This amazement moment was broken up when Conny told Sephiroth to ride the slope down. The bear was lagging behind thanks to Conny and Specs patchwork teamwork (blaming each other for something). It put the bear in tight spots with dodges, weaves, feints, etc., which gave Sephiroth some breathing room.
The slope is way steep. Rocks of considerable sizes are littered everywhere. He needed to traverse it while sliding down. Fortunately, the hill was covered with thick grasses, preventing him from getting any rashes that can create discomfort in the future.
"Ah huh, Need to go down. o-kaykay. here i-" immediately cut off by everyone
[[[[[GO!!!!]]]]]
He jumped.
Antique: [Nutty lad actually dare innit? HAHA!] a hint of surprise
Hitting the slope with his butt first. Indeed it hurt, but he can't complain about it. However, his situation did take a turn, for he started tumbling down the slope.
Chuni: [ I'm----- I'm not feeling we- *Bleurgh] stumbling in circles.
Antique: [HAHAHAHA! *bleurgh] laughing then vomiting.
Monk: [*unrecognizable words*] Praying most likely.
Conny: [looking at this is making me dizzy...] Groaning in pain.
Specs: [STOP LOOKING AT THE SCREEN!!!!] Shouting and in pain.
They were sick. Motion sickness, to be exact. As a residence of the consciousness, they should not be having these symptoms as rationalized by Specs. Their whole situation cannot be justified with no information at all, so fuck it, he thought.
Conny: [EYES! W-we. You! You need to stop this!] Hands around his eyes. Keeping it shut and with obvious pains and groans
Specs shook his head. The uncomfortableness in his head, the uneasy feeling in his stomach, his eyes are getting heavy. Motion sickness is in play. He tapped along the keyboard and a small screen popped up. A video. he needed a direct view of the slope. In his fast-acting mind, he calculated the possibility and probability of the timing and success of every option.
Specs: [Tell the kid to put his arms up and cup his hands like a hook!] dragged the small screen with his finger. He linked the index and thumb of his right hand as it connected. He flicked his hand towards the main screen like enlarging an image. [Tell him to grab that thing if he wants to live!]
Conny wanted to argue out cause Sephiroth is tumbling down the slope. A few more seconds, and it's going to get even worse for him. Making him put his arms up for this whole conundrum will surely break his bones. A horrible decision this one will be. He opens his eyes and looked at the small screen. Though dizzy, he's lucid enough to see a tree whose branch is leaning to the side, creating an archway. The branch can be sturdy enough, but he's not too sure. Everything about this points out to a bad decision. He looked at Specs and only saw determination or probably a crazed moron. He's not sure. He doesn't have the time to make sure. He grits his teeth.
He told Sephiroth.
Sephiroth was conscious and in pain but damn well sure he was livid when he was told to put his arm up. He cannot even move his body and was tumbling hard. Still, he listened. He had no choice but to trust this 'suggestion' if he survived this as he cursed himself, he's going to make sure they will not hear the end of this.
He was not aware of his orientation as he was currently tumbling in unrecognizable times. Still, he can feel his body aching, and it is getting harder to move. He pulled in his arms that his elbows are being tucked in, which also protected his head. He thought for a moment and remembered always safeguard your head, halfway of enclosing his head with his arms. He stopped and quickly remembered what Conny told him. But this movement did put his momentum to be more controllable.
He shot his arms up and curve his hands like a hook as he was told. His momentum changed again. In the instance he raised his arms, he flung up into a backward somersault with 2 flips and landed down on a patch of mountain flowers on his back. Which softened his landing, and he continued to tumble himself forward.
Random as it may seem, Specs was quick to analyze everything. He needed this exact moment. He required the kid to latch himself on the tree with injuries, or worst, broken bones or head trauma, but those are just chances. What he needs now is the intuition and calculation of the probability of this heat of the scene decision process to let the kid reorganize himself and slide down smoothly.
Sephiroth closed his eyes. Inhaled what he could then hoped to Kami-sama that something might work. He flipped for about 4-6 times nearing towards the branch. What seemed to be hours of agony for him but in actuality was just a few seconds. Miraculously, he was perfectly poised to grab onto the branch, which bends for a bit as the kinetic energy bounces off from him to the tree. Feeling for worse. His hands are getting splinters and blisters, His elbows are in pain due to the weight of force transfer. And almost knocking himself as he hits his head into the dirt.
*Bleaurgh Conny: [Wh-wha- what?! ahh okay.] he wiped his mouth with his hands and groaning from the pain in his head [No-w. Now, what?] looking at Specs.
Specs: [Terra's Solar! that actually worked! Haha!] is what he is thinking. In truth, this is what he said [I forgot a bit to inquire. OLD MAN! BEARS CAN EFFECTIVELY RUN IN STEEP SLOPES RIGHT?] panicked, screamed, and panicked eyes as he asked Antique.
Rolling on his back, then looked at him. Antique: [wee' Ah hmm. Ye? Why thou?] leaned his elbow to the floor and put his head in his hand.
Quickly recognizing this train of thought. Conny faced the screen and promptly frowned when he just saw dirt and grass and heavy breathing from the kid. Conny: [Kid! lookup!] shouting
"Uh wha? w-why?" exasperated. lungs and hands are burning. "It's just the branc-- Oh shit!" peering over the branch, he can see the bear's figuring from afar quickly getting larger by the second!
[[[[[AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!]]]]] Everyone panicked!
"Uhh! Uhh! Ahh! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Sephiroth, too screamed. He panicked. Death was looming in the shape of a bear's face with his tongue out. Without a thought, he let go of the branch.
His body weight and the momentum from earlier had managed to stretch the tree to a degree with it. Like a rubber pulled, he provided a considerable amount of potential energy for the tree branch. Now that he let go of his grip. The branch twang forward so fast that it may be the working of the plot armor yet again. It hit the bear in the right ear, right eye, and snout that continue pushing the bear to the side. The bear winched considerably.
Sephiroth continued to slide down on his front body and cherishing the moment. Everyone was glad, even for a bit! He positioned himself sidewards while keeping his other leg like a balance beam to steer himself and occasionally switching sides. A few more seconds, and he is now at the base of the slope.
"YEAH! HAHA! in your face! Litera- huuuu" as he exhaled, "Literally in your face!" with a grin.
He looked ahead to a new treeline, and above it was the giant tree. Not a single leaf on its branches. A dead tree. Amazing to look, but he and others can't be bothered to know of its story.
Sephiroth gave a glance to his back. Looking upwards. Frowning, The bear is still not giving up. It shoves down the tree with its body making it fall down with speed towards the base of the sloop. The bear keeps shaking its head as it ran down towards sephiroth with signs of a lower rate than earlier—a good sign.
Inhale. Exhale. "Damn it! This is exhausting!" as he ran again towards another tree line.
Chuni: [Dah Dah Dun Dun. Run Forrest! Run! ahh~ ahh~] with a high pitch voice and mockery
Conny snorted: [Damn it! This is getting out of hand!] with both hands on his waist, and the repeat of actions has begun.
