Nefertiri was just strooling around with Zidite holding his hand happily chating with him when someone came running in their direction. It was a young boy, his plump cheecks were rosy after the run and was looking a little bit tired.
"Zidite! Grandfather is back! He wants to see you." The last sentence came out as a whisper.
The kid looks intimidated but he was trying really hard not to let it get to him.
Zidite looked at Nefertiri with concern filling his eyes.
"I guess we should go back." Nefertiri spoke first.
"Mmm."
Nefertiri took the childs hand and they were slowly moving back. Some elves looked at them with interesst because they looked like a small family of three. It didn't matter who it is if there is a child with them it makes them look like a good person or so Nefertiri though. When they were back the staff gretted them with enthusiasm that they didn't see since they came.
"Young master the old master is waiting for you in his office."
"I'll be there in a minute."
"He expects to see the young miss too."
The small child went his own way and they started to follow one of the maids to the old mans office. Nefertiri didn't really know how to feel about this situation. She never though that one of those old mans is goign to contact her first. So they got the message that everything is changing for the better in their tribe. It was slowly time to make a move.
Zidite looked at Nefertiri to see if she reacted somehow to know that she's going to meet one of the old mans but she was just smiling softly her eyes clear twinkling with some mischief. With just a though she was already wearing her robes. They were sparkling softly with every move she made. It was as if the material had some small particles of glitter so the white glowing even more blindly. He could help but relax his shoulders seeing her this confident. His heart would ache if she wouldn't have a strong backbone. At his position or maybe better say their he would feel really worried if she would be a hoppeless woman without confidence. He could relax thinking that she is strong and if she needed him she would say a word to him about it.
The maid stoped before a double massive door, knocked on the wood and waited for a response when she got it she announced them and they could get in. Zidite took her cold hand in his and when she looked at him he smiled. She returned his smile and didn't stop smiling even after getting in the room.
Soren Lux couldn't move after seeing this beautiful goddess enter his study room with his grandson holding her hand. Her smile was so radiant it was as if the room was just iluminated by it. He couldn't help to think that with just her smile at night it would look as if the moon started to shine. The young woman before him was confident but looked pure and a little bit naive. It was hard to think of the feeling she gave off of her. Just by her outfit he can see that she's the highest level priesstess he ever saw in his whole life. It is quite amazing that he is actualy seeing someone this powerful. Thinking about their destroyed plans he got mad again and on focus. He needs to get rid of her and fast.
What Soren Lux didn't know is that he was already walking into a trap that Nefertiri set a long time ago. She was sure that after knowing that the Tribe is doing better the old man's and the two womens that she just realized she sensed they didn't like it. They were in power maybe not in the kind of the power that the Lord had but they could manituplate the masses from the shadows.
Nefertiri was still smiling sweetly not wavering.
"Zidite Lux! You didn't even inform me that you found your mate! Don't just stand there smiling dear! Let's get to know each other."
Soren Lux didn't show how displeased he was, Nefertiri couldn't read him at all but she could still sense his energy so it wasn't so hard to know how he felt.
"Greetings grandfather." She bowed her head slightly just to show some repect. "I didn't know that I'm going to meet you so soon because I know from Zidite that you are working next town two hours away." Nefertiri made a move with her hands and she was holding a small box in them. "This is for you granfather."
She gave him the small box and Soren Lux took it not thinking much aboit it. He was quite pleased with his granddaughter in law. She was getting better each second and he couldn't help but think that he is not going to do something to this pettite woman. He was really missing his mate and after her death he started to take part in the research. After a decade he was starting to doubt it but he was already too deep inside of that mess to get out so he followed everyone. It was his mistake to even think that some research is going to help him. The love of his life is not going to come back just because he's making one of the biggest mistakes in his life. She was hit with this weird sickness after the outbreak. This research is changing everything. With just one small mistake maybe it can change something more than genetics of people around. For elves it was like an new awakened ilness but at that time he didn't know anything about it. This project in wich he's taking some part in was actualy the one that took his dearest person. His wife. He want's her back but how can he do this on his own? He looked at the young woman before him. He felt that she can help him that she was the key to everything. Since centuries the mates in their tribe were humans if they thought about female mates. He didn't think much about it then but his grandsons mate is an elv a powerful one.
"Thank you dear." He smiled at Nefertiri.
"Grandfather, this is my mate Nefertiri. I just realized that I didn't tell you her name." Zidite was feeling unconfortable with the though that he messed this a little bit.
"No worries Zidite." His grandfather chuckled trying to lighten the mood in the room. "Nefertiri dear I think I do need your help and you are not going to be in need to give me this." He said quite confident that the object she gave him had something hiden.
"In this matter you are wrong grandfather. You need to open the box to know what is inside. Open it."
Soren Lux was feeling really unconfortable but he did as he was told and he just couldn't believe what was inside. He got drawings of his wife. His most precious person. The person looking back at him was really young.
"How?" Soren Lux almost chocked on his own saliva. He felt a if his tongue got stiff and he couldn't swallow at all. This small box shook him to the core and he showed it to this powerful woman in front of him. He didn't know if it was a mistake but right in this moment it didn't matter.
"I know many things Soren Lux and you are just one small particle of it. A tiny small piece."
"Can you help me?"
"It depends what you want." She sat down full of confidece. She was like an empress looking down on some dirt.
"I want her back! I want to make them pay!"
She smiled showing the deep hidden mischief that Soren didn't have the chance to see and he couldn't help to think that this person before him with the appearance of an angel was actualy a demon.
