Chapter 34 - Tell them

Nefertiri got it all planed beforehand it wasn't easy to do but she made some research and using the voices she was able to plan this. The soft whispers were happy right in this moment she was getting closer to the bottom of this whole mess.

"Grandfather there isn't a thing that I can't do but I have to be willing." She didn't stop smilling since the beginning.

"I'm willing to do anything."

"I know. So tell me, can you decive them for me?" Soren Lux was surprised hearing those words. "It's not the right time to expose myself. When do you need to go back?"

"I can stay three days."

"Hmmm."

Zidite was just standing there looking at both of the not knowing what to do and when Nefertiri saw his desoriented look she pushed him to sit on a chair. She sat down on his lap contently sighning. IIt was indeed really nice to have the significant other close. She wanted to care more for him but the situation wasn't always right for it. She still needs to do her job as the descendat of her father and right the wrong that their kind started. She knew that the forst ever human making some test was Frankestein but it was a couple of centuries ago and he was still living and kicking. How the bastard did it was a mistery. The funny part is that he isn't the one to take part in this madness. Maybe he started but he didn't really kill anyone or make them some kind of new species. Even if he did the person was willing knowing about the dangers. All she knew was from the voices and Frankenstein himself. Being deadly sick isn't a joke and those humans were looking for a chance to survive so why the ones doing their jobs now were so bad at it. Where was some genius in this. She didn't know. Nefertri didn't even notice that feeling so secure in Zidites arms she already dozed away thinking about this whole messy situation.

Zidite was looking at her with concern. It was hard to stay informed with her not realy telling him what's to be done but she didn't hate it. He was just frustrated. Feeling insecure wasn't something he anticipated to happen but he can't change it since they just stared their realtionship. She was still adjusting to taking care of someone and being taking care of. It was a new experience for her. He undestood that. His father wasn't the greatest but he still sneaked around with him whem he was a child and they could lose his mother somewhere. He smiled softly looking at her relaxed face and could't help to think that whatever it is that's happening it needs to end soon.

"Grandfather you just need to tell them something easy to make them believe that she's not the problem. She doesn't show her high level robes in public."

"So are you telling me that she was intimidting me?"

"You are right grandfather."

"She's really good."

"You are right grandfather she's good to good for her own. It really worries me that she doesn't tell me her plans."

"I don't think you have to worry. This whole thing happening right now is just something to shape her I think. It's for the elves and other kinds to understand that the old teachings and believings are sacred. We lost ourselves when technology showed up we though that maybe this is going to be good enough for us to survive. To have a better life. We were so wrong."

"I know grandfather. The elders were foolish so they thought that leaving a young uninformed Lord was the best idea. It wasn't a perfect solution to shape him but I guess it showed him that without knowledge he didn't have the power to rule over our tribe."

"Maybe. What do you think I should tell them then?"

"Grandfather are you really that dense or just you went senile?" Soren Lux slaped his desk and stood up abruptly.

"Who are you calling stupid ha?!" Zidite reclined his back on the chair to sit more confortably with his wife still in his arms.

"Grandfather I'm going to tell you the answer you need because I think you are still thinking about getting grandma back. You just need to tell them that she bought some historic books with teachings. She's just making sure that when he's going to be done reading that she can take them back so she's just staying so they don't disappear."

"That's brilliant! My filial grandson is the best!"

"Don't sweet talk me grandfather. I'm taking my leave. My wife is really tired with the work she had to do these past days."

"Have a good night and take good care of your wife."

"Hmm."

Walking back to their room Zidite was a little bit worried about his dear wife being this tired that even the mischief running through her vines in that moment didn't keep her awake. What he didn't undestand is that she just felt too good in his arms and could relax after some really stressing days and very bad slept nights. Nefertiri was just thinking too much and the whispers didn't leave her to have a good night sleep. She still slept longer with Zidite than usually.

He saw his mother walking down the hallway. He knew that she was still slowly packing her belongings to move away from the mansion but he didn't feel even a bit of sorrow for her. No sympathy at all. She was always too busy thinking about getting money so if he was correct she got some money of her own now that father wanted her gone and he wasn't going to keep her around anymore with his true mate.

Zidite placed Nefertiri on the bed and gave her a towel bad and put her pijamas on. He didn't want her to be unconfortable after their day out. She was really happy having some time with him after some hard work she had to do and he knew it very well. He was aware that doing what was expected from her she couldn't focus all atentoin to him even if he wa with her when she worked. From his side was just the same. In a couple of days he needs to go back to his company but he didn't really think about their small problem. They need to think how to resolve this togheter.

Having her with him in his office is going to drive him crazy if he's not going to be able to take good care if her like he wanted. Maybe she could sit next to him in meetings and on his lap in the office but maybe that would be a little too much. The smile on his face was just widening. He was taking a really fast shower so he could be with his wife reallt fast. He could already feel the withdrawal. When he was done doing his routine as afst as he could he was running into the room even if it was just a door away. He was getting restless without her near him. He was feeling guilty that he left her alone he should be with her. Explaining to himself that it wasn't that bad for her to be alone for even fifteen minutes was hopeless when the withdrawal was on his side. If she didn't say it was not a bad thing to leave her for a moment he would just feel awful.

"Wife I'm back from taking a shower." He kissed her forehead and she murmured something that sounded like good so he was calming down slowly. Having her in his arms he feel asleep.
