Chereads / Chasing a better tomorrow / Chapter 6 - His name

Chapter 6 - His name

She was thinking about the whole situation it was just plain weird. She tried to meditate but she couldn't concentrate. Being a mess after the last mission doesn't help anyone. The elders are getting worried about her. Maybe they think that not being chosen to be an clan Elder is taking its toll on her. Do they really think that lowly position in her eyes would be something more important than their whole race existence? She still didn't call him even if she was supposed to. Every time she closed her eyes she saw him, heard him and smelled his peculiar smell. Nefertiri even knew if she wanted she could touch him and let him see her. This situation happens again and again it hasn't an end.

Misha was always by her side training his new found powers even if she wasn't an fire attribute she still could guide him.

His powers were getting stronger with an astounding speed. In comparison to others of his race he was much better, could it be that sealing his gene was better for him?

Nefertiri alone was too trying to enhance her powers but at her actual level being on the peak of their cultivation there wasn't much she could do. She didn't belong to any fraction that were split in water, wind, earth and fire. Being an Oracle in her kind wasn't something that everyone was happy about. For her it wasn't important to what fraction she should belong she though that they should be a one big family.

She was an orphan from the age of six and there was just the Lord to give her some parental love that she didn't know how to accept. She was feeling awkward even just thinking about it because she didn't know how to show her feelings well. Nefertiri knew the plans of the Lord but didn't even say a word about it waiting for his move all along.

Her grandmother was the last oracle before her birth she was her last family but she had a humans life spine. She didn't want to live long but the nature still took her too early separating them.

Everyone was scared of oracles and knowing the future after her grandma's last words.

"There is going to be an end to us if we don't stop the humans from experimenting on them self's to gain power. We don't have too much time."

It was the start of her will to gain the power needed to do what they were supposed to do.

***********************************************

He felt her presence every time when she appeared in the same room. Her smell was still there for him to stop worrying about her wellbeing.

"Boss, your mother is here to see you." His assistant called, informing him about the soon coming headache.

"Let her in."

He didn't have to wait long for his mother to step in his office.

"Zidite Lux! How long are you going to ignore me?!"

"Long enough for you to forget about me marrying that pet of yours that you found years ago." His chilling voice didn't even move her at this point.

"You have to be joking! She's just perfect for you!"

She couldn't accept that she didn't have any control in his life.

"I already found someone."

"She can be your mistress. It doesn't matter if she has the official wife tittle don't you think?"

"There are not going to be any mistresses and I'm going to marry just the woman that I want."

"You don't understand!"

"I do understand why father found another woman."

He knew that is going to be a low blow but he didn't care to say the truth. She went to slap him but he didn't even give her the chance to.

"Mother remember that I have the power to make that thing disappear if you're going to play this sick game any longer I swear you're going to be gone too."

"You unfilial son! How dare you speak to me like that? Your own mother! I gave birth to you! I gave you the power that you own you ungrateful thing!"

"There is something wrong with what you just said Diana." The woman flinched when hearing her name but it was too late. "I worked for what I have alone using my own hands, blood and sweat to build what I own today. I didn't use a cent not from you or even from father. So dear Diana are you not wrong somewhere? Didn't I pay you back the money you paid for my upbringing?"

This woman was always hungry for power and money. She didn't know white from black and tried every time to turn black into white isn't it interesting? He was amused with her stupidity but it was gettin boring already. She needs to know her place.

The woman stormed out of his office as if the floor was burning after her.

Zidite didn't even notice when his other half disappeared but he was hoping that she didn't hear this awful conversation. He wanted to see and talk to her in person.

Waiting for her call wasn't an option anymore, he couldn't wait much longer for her to make the second step if she was feeling confused after all the last happenings.

He needed to touch her flesh, embrace her and make her already his.
