Chapter 2 - The Meeting

It was a late afternoon when a black van made it way to a Ranch House outskirt of town. Sam stepped into the sun and watch in the distance as the van made it way to the Ranch House, his eyes narrowed with wanting.

She's finally here. He thought. Some sort of fierce gloating satisfaction filled him. He was once a nobody but now he got an aristocratic daughter. The girl has a pale, calm elegance to her aura and an aristocratic bones.

Sai Duah, before her father's company went bankrupt, her family would have spit on him. Now she was to marry him because he had money and all they had were empty bellies and impeccable bloodlines. The bankruptcy had bought hunger to the family to the family and they hadn't blinked twice at marrying their daughter to him in exchange for more comfortable life.

He could barely wait.He has taken this land from the Lei Family with blood, death and pure guts and made it his. He had also bought other lands and made alliance with other Ranches. He had everything he had ever wanted, everything except a lady at his table,a true lady to call his. After a long wait, he finally found Sai. His heart was beating fast just thinking about her. They would marry that evening.

One of his Ranch men came up to him asked, "Who's in the back with her?"

"That would be her cousin and younger sister. I don't mind her bringing in her cousin and sister. At least i will get young men sniffing around her and i might more business using her" He gleefully imagined the amount of money he could make out her. He watch as Sai was about to make her way out of the van with her younger sister, Lucy and cousin, Ella. Sam made his way to help Sai out of the van. Sai stood, but instead of allowing Sam to help her out, she placed her gloved hands on his forearm as she acknowledge him and stepped down from the van.

Chrys, one of Sam right hand men first impression of her face was that of a bloodless porcelain doll, very correct and passionless. Her hair was jet black. To Chrys, a shrill, screeching women disgust him.

Lucy didn't wait for any assistance of sort but got down on her own accord. She looked around her smiling face and commented, "Oh, how disgusting to be here." She murmured under her breath but her sister heard her.

Standing beside Chrys, Kofi stiffen and swore under his breath. She was a young girl rather than a woman, but she was stunning beautiful. Her hair was a golden golden blonde, and had a big dark blue eyes.

Chrys figured that a girl like that is gonna course trouble among the men. The little lady was too pretty to leave alone.

Sam called his right hand men and they came forward with a poker face. Sam was grinning like a fool as he turn his attention on them."Sai, my dear, these are my trusted right hand men. Kofi is the foreman at the same time the foreman of the Ranch and Chrys here is my gunman, he makes sure everyone is safe here. Comrades, please welcome Miss Sai"

Sai came up and offered her hands to Kofi with an expressionless face.

"Mr. Guss." She murmured.

" Miss Sai," his hands enclosed hers and he looked her up and down in a way that made her draw back in disgust. She met his gaze and glared at him coldly which made him feel like a worthless person.

" How shameless".

Kofi:"(.....)

Sam:(....)

She drew her fingers as quickly as possible and wiped her hands on her handkerchief. She turned to the other man.

" Mr. Si"

She looked up at him and froze. His hat was pulled over his eyes, but she could still see them glittering coldly at her. He deliberately lowered his gaze at her breast and starred at them for what seem like an eternity to her.

" Hey, my eyes are up here." If looks could kill, Chrys would be dead by now from the amount of dirty looks he was receiving from her. He cast his focus to meet hers again in contempt.

What an arrogant ass hole. She thought.

What a stupid brainless heiress. He thought.

If Kofi manner was offensive, this guy looked at her with such obvious disrespect. No one, not even her parent had ever looked at her like that.

It took everything in her not to land a slap on his handsome face. Damn, dis i just say that hes handsome?. She turned to the man she had come half-way around the world to marry.

" If you don't mind, we will like to freshen up now. The journey was tiring."

" Of course, Lola! show them heir room so they can freshen up." His voice was harsh when he spoke to an elderly woman, old enough to be his mother and Sai glanced at him. She was raised to never be rude to a servant.

" Is he always like this? shouting at the servants." Lucy asked

" It something you will get used to in time, your rooms Miss."

Lucy and Sai looked at each other and thought;

What have we gotten ourselves into.
