Chapter 1412: Solar System's decisive battle
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
At the Solar System's Pluto Star Field, the second wave of battle was about to begin. Fleets from the three major planets and other planets had been assembled. This was the full strength of the Solar System. The huge fleet has surpassed the Maacah Republic's coalition forces. This was the strength of the Solar System, to strike fear into their enemies, for them to find out the true strength of the Solar System.
Drachmach and the rest were initially worried, but with this scale, they were now more confident. Most importantly, victory brought about unity and hope, and helped to concentrate all resources from the Solar System. To say it plainly, the Solar System was only suited to fight battles which it could win.
With a fleet of this scale, Drachmach hoped that the enemy would retreat, as in this fleet, there were many people that were here just to fill the numbers. Some patrol teams were even added to help create this vast fleet. With regards to their fighting potential, Drachmach was clear of it. Hence, he needed to use this fleet appropriately.
Other than this, the sole two Heaven-ranks of the Solar System were involved in this battle: Shelley Ritter Doyle from Doyle family and Lie Shuangtian from Lie family. This was the reason the Solar System was able to maintain its status quo, due to the presence of the ancient arts families. It was not possible for Heaven-rank experts to come from Earth, Moon, Mars endlessly, maintaining the current standards. This generation of Chronos family did not appear on Earth, which led to a weakened Solar System.
This battle was important to both parties, but they could be sure that the Maacah Republic would send out Heaven-rank warriors as well. In a galactic battle, Heaven-rank experts were of high strategic value, used to target enemy planetary level battleships, or for defense, this is dependent on both parties' strengths.
For this battle, the whole Solar System has high hopes, the three major planets, and media of various space cities, have flooded the news to raise morale, saying to not just destroy the enemy, but to destroy their homes as well, for them to realize their mistake and pay the price for it.
On the other side, the Maacah Republic coalition forces had finished their preparations. The Darkness Empire has increased the number of troops to ensure the quick defeat of the Solar System. The Darkness Empire was indeed efficient; this was a quality of empires. When it came to ambition, they had to be efficient. Hence, the second wave of reinforcements arrived. At the same time, they added on a member hoping to pick up the scraps: Ghana Star.
The Darkness Empire's three Heaven-rank experts arrived at the coalition forces. Against the number of fleets from Solar System, Allen Porter and Iyerta Laboge did not seem to care. The Solar System's situation was no secret – the huge fleet had limited fighting potential. Drachmach was not so foolish as to put the weaker forces in the main fleet. The Solar System could only fight battles that it could clearly win, and this time, they did not fear an attack from the rear. To be honest, if the Norton Star was attacked once again, it would not matter. After the first round, this battle was going to thoroughly destroy the Solar System. The aim of the coalition forces was simple: to get close to the Solar System and strike through!
Drachmach employed a three-pronged attack, with him, Meng Ao, and Lie Wuqing leading three separate fleets, directly attacking. This will be followed by Qiang Sen leading the combined fleet. Qiang Sen was the newest rising star. From his age, he might not be a new star, but this person was experienced. He started as a normal soldier and worked his way to the special forces. While on hiatus in the middle, he was redeployed. From his outstanding performances in wiping out pirates and international missions, and uncomplicated background, this resulted in a fleet containing galactic patrol teams and some maintenance fleets being under his command.
Qiang Sen understood his mission: to take the brunt of the firepower, also known as cannon fodder. Qiang Sen was clear of the current situation. There were some who were still able to think clearly. To win this battle, they would need to risk their lives. Hence, he was willing to take up this mission, or to say, every mission he had taken up had put his life in danger.
The vast fleets appeared on the screens of both parties, and lasers began blasting before long, lighting up the skies. The commanders of both parties were strong, constantly changing formations, exchanging blows, Countless mech warriors were deployed, and simply by numbers, the Solar System would not lose.
Allen Porter was looking at the screen, and after exchanging a few blows, he had a rough understanding of the Solar System's level. While the Maacah Republic's decline was bad, the Solar System's decline was far worse, and this could only be realized through fighting each other. The Maacah Republic did not have a sense of superiority like the Solar System, hence they made changes after realizing they were declining, while the Solar System did not.
From this battle, Allen Porter had a sense that the Darkness Empire's strength was beyond theirs. In a battle, reputation did not matter. Countries like the Darkness Empire, Sirius, Manalasuo, and the rest that are rapidly developing displayed military strength which they were unable to compare themselves with. Luckily, the Maacah Republic had made the right decision. Sometimes, victory could not be simply obtained through brute strength, but through wits, and being on the right side of the war could bring them benefits.
There was nothing special about the Solar System, from its commanders to the fleet itself. This was to say there would not be any surprises from them. The younger generation, such as Achilles and the rest, was decent. However, they were too inexperienced. They had yet to reach the stage where they were able to shoulder the burden, and the Darkness Empire was more than enough to deal with them. Talent had to grow in both quality and quantity. Allen Porter would not deny that Achilles and the rest were excellent, but they had yet to reach the level where they could turn the tides. They may be able to improve the fighting potential of their own fleets by a bit, but that was all.
The unstable element of the Solar System was Heaven-rank experts. Hence, for this, they were well prepared. As long as their Heaven-ranks were able to win, it would indicate the end of this battle.
The Heaven-ranks of the winning side would be able to carry destructive damage on the enemy's planetary-level battleships. While it might end in the Heaven-ranks of both sides destroying each other, be it either situation, Allen Porter foresaw the destruction of the Solar System's fleet.
On Mars, Sage Odin's expression was as calm as water, and from his eyes, he seemed to have accepted it. He may have foreseen the Solar System's defeat. Fate was unpredictable. Knowing may be a good thing, but to him, this was nothing but a curse looming over the Sage Sect. In the past, the disciples of the Sage Sect had significant fighting prowess, but due to inheritance, each generation of successors had enough on their plates from fighting against this insane "curse". To know fate and to forget fate, how would they survive.
Chapter 1413: Saruman Snake's Spirit
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
From the signs… the Solar System's defeat was certain, but he could not say it, as it would not change anything. Just like Lie Guang's death, fate was predetermined. He had taken Lie Guang as a disciple, why? To save him?
He was unable to save him, it was just to make himself feel better. As a person, how was it possible to see past everything?
The fleets were battling fiercely, the mech warriors were killing each other, the laser cannons by the planetary level battleships were able to tear a hole in space. This was the strength of mankind's weapons. Various ships lit up space as they were engulfed in flames, followed by the unforgettable screams of help.
For the warriors, their gazes never wavered. They had to fight to the death.
Achilles, Lie Xin, Zhang Shan, and the rest were shouting, commanding their units to maintain formation, attack the enemy. This was a round of intense battle.
Four mecha different from those around them appeared. These were the mecha used by Heaven-rank experts. A laser blast headed towards Lie Shuangtian's mech, and it was sliced in one strike.
Samadhi's flames enshrouded Lie Huo's mech. All of this was preparation for this day. After advancing in rank, Heaven-rank experts did not have many opportunities for battle, as their every action represented their country. Before leaving, Lie Shuangtian went to the Sage Sect's Saint Mountain but did not manage to see Odin. When he was young, Lie Shuangtian thought he was the symbol of the rise of his country; however, it did not happen. Even at Heaven-rank, he was unable to change this world, and he was unable to understand it.
However, now he knew that he was Solar System's last line of defense, and not far from him was the Doyle family's Shelley Ritter. She was his opponent before, but now they were fighting on the same battlefield. They had thought about leading Solar System's rebirth, but as they aged, they realized that an individual's strength was completely different from one's ability to lead. Whatever it may be, they now had the ability to defend their homeland as existences above others.
On the opposing side, there were two Maacah Republic super mecha, piloted by Heaven-rank warriors. In the world of Heaven-ranks, they had never met each other, yet they were no strangers.
Boloni and Zar looked at each other. They had an understanding of their opponents. The power of Heaven-ranks originated from the Solar System. In the early stages of the Star Voyage era, the Solar System had the power to rule. But as the era progressed, Heaven-ranks appeared from the explorers of various countries, while the Solar System went on a decline and was eventually replaced. After many years, it was rare for the Solar System to display such strength, and in other countries, sightings of Heaven-rank warrior activities were frequently reported. But it was obvious that such reports had been edited.
The fighting capabilities of Heaven-rank warriors could be described as warlike. Boloni against Shelley Ritter, Zar against Lie Shuangtian, the Heaven-rank battle was earth-shaking. Even in a war of this scale, they managed to forcefully create their own battlefield. The surrounding mecha gave way to them, and the laser cannons of the battleships avoided this area as well.
Shelley Ritter Doyle carried the pride of the people of the Moon.
In the hands of Shelley Ritter, the Heavenly Dragon Knight could unleash shocking fighting capabilities. The mech was a medium that allowed Heaven-rank warriors to use their strength more freely in the universe. They no longer needed simple attacks like lasers, as they could no longer threaten each other. The only thing that could threaten them was amplified force.
The Heavenly Dragon Knight charged forward fiercely. Her opponent, Boloni, was a defensive type, piloting the Maacah Republic's Glorious mech. He used his laser sword to keep a tight defense. On the whole battlefield, the coalition forces were dominating. The super soldiers were confident, with the better mentalities – they were in no rush.
On the other side, Lie Shuangtian began a fury of attacks. His flames lit up the sky. There were numerous super soldiers who were unable to reach Heaven-rank. It was simply the direct usage of force; whatever element it may be, it was all the same. However, the Lie Flame Technique was an exception. Even at Heaven-rank, the force retained its strong elemental color, increasing the attacking power. This was a specialty of the Lie Flame Technique, which meant that the members of the Lie family would always attack.
Lie Wuxuang hoped to annihilate his opponent, while Zar's intentions were clear: to hold his ground. In actual fact, simply defending in a Heaven-rank battle was not possible. For people who have mastered the inner universe, and surpassed physical limits, it would be difficult for the attacker to be exhausted. Moreover, it would create momentum, increasing the strength of attacks, allowing for the strongest attack to be unleashed. This was the most dangerous attack, and Zar and Boloni had to survive it.
Shelley Ritter and Lie Shuangtian felt that it was weird. It was rare for Heaven-ranks to specialize in defense unless there were other plans. Judging from the current situation, it was an opportunity they could not pass on. They did not know about the overall situation of the Solar System's military, and they were unable to get an accurate judgment from Drachmach and Lie Wuqing. Even if the strength of the coalition forces was greater than the Solar System's, if the two of them were able to win, it would tilt the battle in their favor.
In the galactic battlefield, all of the super soldiers were fully deployed. Unlike Achilles and the rest, Zhang Shan did not choose to be a battleship commander.. To be honest, Zhang Shan felt that they would play their role better as super soldiers, and help to better raise morale. But mech warriors were lower in priority, and the final victory would not be determined by mech warriors. Compared to Meng Tian, who mainly studied how to command a battleship and had rich experience and capabilities in this field, the others were merely average.
Zhang Shan was much more mature now, and everyone had the right to choose their own path. At the beginning, Zhang Shan did not have much feelings for those under him, as the time he had spent with them was short. Moreover, he was back in the Solar System, just due to the fact that he was an earthling trying to defend his homeland, but when the battle truly began, he understood. This was home. No matter how many problems this place had, this was his home, a place which he needed to defend with his life.
The warriors next to him vanished one by one. This was the fate of mech warriors – the highest death rates in battle belonged to mech warriors.
Zhang Shan was leading a commando unit. The military did not know about Zhang Shan's true strength, but he was famous, so they had given him a decent mech so as to give him flexibility. Initially, Zhang Shan followed the movements of the fleet, but he quickly discovered that this would lead to complete annihilation. The Solar System's command was rigid, and the mech warriors were simply a line of defense for the fleet. They were unable to fully exploit the capabilities of the mecha, and this tempo was like quicksand, causing them to sink in deeper and deeper.
Zhang Shan was not the kind of person to wait and die. While he obeyed orders when entering the military, in life and death situations, he did not care. He could not let this go on any further. He left the command to his vice captain and charged to the center of the battlefield on his own.
To take a risk, it must be a risk worth taking. This was the spirit of Saruman Snake.
Chapter 1414: Caution in taking action
While he may not be able to control other areas, this was his territory.
Lieutenant General Zhang Yunfeng was the commander of the seventh fleet. The main battlefield brought about tremendous pressure on his fleet, and at his busiest, he heard from his vice commander that Zhang Shan was acting on his own. He was furious – his orders were for them to defend, and prevent the enemy from attacking the main ship. Zhang Yunfeng knew about Zhang Shan's strength, hence he had told Zhang Shan to protect himself. Who knew that this kid would actually…
"Order him to come back, and ensure that all mech warriors follow the order to protect the main ship's safety."
Zhang Yunfeng was a conservative general. This battle is a war of attrition, it was not possible to overwhelm Maacah's coalition forces, so to live was the best course of action. If Meng Ao and the rest want to risk their lives, let them be.
While changes were made to the military, the conservative faction retained a significant amount of power. The amount of time since changes had been implemented was far too short for it to seep through every aspect. The fleet led by Zhang Yunfeng was a relatively strong one. But while he would put in the effort, he would not risk his life. Moreover, he did not feel that Maacah would win. A war between two major powers was simply a tug of war. Hence, as a commander, to live was the most important, as this was but a power struggle. Taking a step back and looking at it, even if Maacah won, they would need the manpower, which might be a good thing for him. Times were getting more difficult for the conservative faction. Following Locks' demise, it was only a matter of time before they were replaced, and this war could give them an excellent opportunity.
In this world, not everyone would care about the bigger picture, and a significant portion of people would only think about themselves, especially those in power.
Facing the calls by the fleet, Zhang Shan turned off his communication device. He was not interested in becoming a puny bodyguard. He had his eyes on the enemy's planetary-level battleship. Normally, only Heaven-rank warriors would dare to attack a planetary level battleship, and Earth-ranks. Due to various limitations, it would be seeking death to do so, and Zhang Shan was a fool.
Meng Tian was commanding the fleet to attack, and adjusting the formation according to the enemy's firepower, but she discovered a serious problem. Under the pressure of the enemy's firepower, the fleet was moving slower and becoming disorganized. This was different from what she had learned in the Galaxy Military College. The synergy between the various battleships was lower than she expected, and a few ships had begun fighting on their own.
This was the Solar System's current situation, but luckily, their enemy was not Arbiter or Aslan. If it were, the Solar System would be annihilated due to the difference in battle strength in one battle.
Achilles and Lie Xin's command of their battleships was by the book, and the advantage was that their identities allowed the ships under them to follow their orders better. While they possessed relatively good commanding capabilities, they were not exceptional. There was something Zhang Shan was mistaken about – it was not Achilles and Lie Xin who wanted to become commanders, but their families. There were too many risks in being a mech warrior, as well as being lower in hierarchy. On the other hand, being a commander and commanding their family's warriors would raise morale and would net them fame. Both of them were in Drachmach and Lie Wushuang's main fleet, leading the most elite battleship commanders. This was the last pride of the Doyle and Lie families.
However, this pride had not brought them any advantage since the start of the battle.
Both parties were in a deadlock. The Darkness Empire has played their part. Iyerta Laboge did not care about the losses suffered by the Maacah Republic. He hoped for the Maacah and the Solar System to mutually destroy each other. However, the Darkness Empire was the most pragmatic country, and there was nothing to gain from losing this battle.
The moment the Darkness Empire entered the battle, it completely changed the tides. The target chosen by the Darkness Empire was the "mob".
This is the bunch of rag tags led by Qiang Sen. Even though it was a battle of attrition, Iyerta was unable to ignore the Solar System. In a life and death battle like this, the Solar System's reformists were committed. Hence, he had chosen the easiest point to break through, using a bunch of rag tags to change the tempo of the battle. The moment this fleet collapsed, it would affect the other fleets, which would affect morale.
Against the Darkness Empire's attack, Qiang Sen did not lose his cool. He knew his fate, as well as those under him, who were non-combat forces and regular soldiers that fought day and night against pirates. They were determined to fight. The moment they clashed, the difference in firepower made it hard for Qiang Sen's fleet to fight back. Qiang Sen did not resist, but instead used his experience from fighting pirates and began extending the formation. With agile ships forming the bulk of the fleet, they would lose out in firepower, but they have higher mobility. The Darkness Empire's lightning attack was halted.
Drachmach took a deep breath. The whole battlefield could be seen through his screen. It has to be said that the Darkness Empire's tactics were "despicable". He thought that Qiang Sen's fleet would have been destroyed immediately. It was unexpected that this fleet would hold back the Darkness Empire's reinforcements.
"General Zhao Yunfeng, please immediately assist Qiang Sen's fleet, they won't be able to hold out for long!" Drachmach said.
On the other side of the monitor, Zhang Yunfeng calmly explained, "Commander-in-chief Drachmach, we are met with intense firepower here – we are unable to do so. Moreover, Zhang Shan is not following orders, and acting on his own. This caused the mech warrior unit to be in chaos."
Drachmach was gritting his teeth. These were issues that needed to be solved. There was a number of loyal supporters in the fleet, and he worried about morale if he changed a general before battle. Now he was regretting it. He should have done it, and now all that fool was doing was putting on a show. This battle was at a life or death moment, yet he was still acting.
"Zhao Yunfeng, this is an order. If you don't follow it, be prepared to face the military court!"
"Commander-in-chief Drachmach, don't use the military court to threaten me. The military court is not owned by the Doyle family. You are letting a part of the main fleet give up its battle to help reinforce a bunch of cannon fodder. If my front is defeated, are you going to take responsibility for it!" Zhao Yunfeng sharply rebutted, with a face of contempt looking at Drachmach.
Drachmach was far from setting a trap. Whether the battle ended in victory or defeat, there would be no problems in the procedures.
Drachmach's expression was cold. He could not allow himself to be angry and waste his energy on this. This was the difficulty of a commander-in-chief. He could not do anything to Zhao Yunfeng at this point in time. If these people retreated and caused a line of defense to collapse, it would cause the battle to be tougher.
Chapter 1415: Clash between Heaven-Ranks

After turning off the Skylink, Zhao Yunfeng spat at it. His side of the battle was gradually stabilizing. The opposing Allen Porter had realized the enemy fleet's problem. In actual fact, he had sensed it the previous battle. Initially, he was worried that it was a trap, but subsequently, from the investigations done by the intelligence department, Allen Porter understood the Solar System's internal issues. Since his opponent wanted a stand still, that was great. Allen Porter had allowed Maacah's 89th fleet to help reinforce other battlefields, as long as the planetary-level main ship remained here. He did not expect to fight a battle like this today.
Zhao Yunfeng sensed it as well. He had a smile on his face. On the other side was a smart person as well. This had left him undefeated in terms of politics.
Watching the cannon fire outside the window, Zhao Yunfeng had a feeling. He waved his hands. The beautiful major was stunned, but looking at Zhao Yunfeng's expression, she went over. He pointed to the floor, and the sexy major knelt down. Her skirt was shorter than that of the regular uniform, and her slender, white legs made it more seductive. Zhao Yunfeng's big hands were touching her head, while the command crew pretended to not see anything. Zhao Yunfeng's face showed a satisfied smile. This was life's joy, power was the best. Whatever revival, he did not care about it. And not just that, he had to destroy it.
The higher ups in the whole fleet were his people. If Drachmach tried to play dirty, he would get even dirtier.
The whole battlefield "standstill" gave another person an opportunity. Zhang Shan was prepared for a tough battle. With his strength, especially with his unique spatial abilities, Zhang Shan had the confidence to get near a planetary-level battleship. Not to mention, he had the strongest tactic. However, the toughest part was to break through the enemy's laser web. Even as an Earth-rank warrior, if he was careless, he would be killed and the mech would be destroyed. He had yet to reach the inner universe stage, so losing his mech would be instant death, but as he went deeper, he could clearly feel that the firepower… It was weird, it felt a bit weak. The tempo felt wrong – this did not sound like the firepower of a fight to the death.
Zhang Shan could not care so much. This was his opportunity. After getting through the wave of lasers, he quickly discovered enemy mech warriors. The opposing mech warriors were shocked. What kind of idiot would be here? Suddenly, there were more than ten mech warriors charging towards him.
Zhang Shan charged forward as well, evading the blasts, and an enemy was near him, slicing towards him.
Shing…
Zhang Shan's mech was unable to avoid it, and took a direct hit. A series of sparks could be seen, becoming a beautiful firework in space.
This did not make a ripple in the whole battlefield. Even though he was part of the famous Greatest King team, this would at most end up as a remark on the after-battle report.
All intelligence was submitted to Drachmach, Meng Ao, and Lie Wuqing firsthand. Zhang Shan was neither major nor minor. The military was still pinning their hopes on him, but this was his first actual battle, and he was not following orders. He was acting on his own, which would lead to his death.
Drachmach no longer had the time to care about Zhang Shan, and even expected better from him. He had a deeper meaning in putting Zhang Shan under Zhang Yunfeng: to give Zhang Yunfeng some pressure. Zhang Shan was second only to Wang Zheng, and had influence over Earth's army. However, his judgment was wrong. Zhang Shan's influence was weaker than expected, and he did not expect Zhang Shan to act on his own in a moment of rage.
From Drachmach's view, if he was not being reckless, why else would Zhang Shan leave the unit behind and act on his own?
Deep down, no one looked up to Zhang Shan. He was simply following Wang Zheng, Achilles, Lie Xin, and the rest, and had managed to achieve the Greatest King title by doing so. He was not good enough to carry his own weight, and was simply a representative of Earth. And on Earth, he had a decent reputation. However, he ended up disappointing everyone.
Drachmach had no time for this. The pressure on the main battlefield was increasing, and on another battlefield, the clash between the four Heaven-ranks was reaching its final stages.
Shelley Ritter and Lie Shuangtian knew in their hearts that due to the mastery of the inner universe by Heaven-ranks, defense capabilities would be extremely strong, and just like in war, it would require major damage to injure the enemy. The skill levels of both parties were similar, with no exceptional advantages. For them to win, they would have to make a killer move, to risk making one. It could be considered an attack that would mutually destroy each other.
Lie Shuangtian's nature was much more anxious, and at this point in time, there was no point in dragging this on. At Heaven-rank and at his age, he had seen past life and death. For Mars' honor, Martians were willing to die.
With one blow, he swept away Zar. Lie Shuangtian smiled. "Sister Doyle, I will be leaving first."
Shelley Ritter's mind was clear. It seemed like at Heaven-rank, there was nothing holding them back, and no one could do anything to them. This kind of thinking was wrong. Reaching Heaven-rank required a strong mentality with unwavering perseverance. Heaven-ranks were not as cold as people might think, they might even be more intense. Their families had engraved it into their souls, it was just that they would not have intense emotions like a normal warrior, and simply smile when facing death.
Lie Shuangtian's flames began from the inside out. Space was filled with a bright red color, the intense aura permeating the air. Zar did not retreat. An all out attack by a Heaven-rank could not be dodged, and the power of the inner universe exploded.
Lie Shuangtian's Heaven-rank power was the flame domain, to burn everything, even the soul. The moment you came near the domain, it was not possible to leave – this was his domain's specialty.
Zar's ability was the rare and unpredictable spatial ability. He could move through space freely. These kinds of people were the scariest before Heaven-rank. However, the Heaven-rank domain was space imprisonment. Space was complicated, making it useless, and Zar knew of this, hence he immediately used his greatest strength.
This kind of imprisonment surpassed any type of negative energy, and completely imprisoned any enemy, even if the enemy was deep within a domain. Lie Shuangtian's infinite increase in the power of flames was frozen. The two streams of energy clashed with each other, releasing blinding light. Zar's lock down was reaching its limit – it was not enough. Moreover, Lie Shuangtian was risking his life. His entire body turned to the color of magma, with cracks all over it. However, his spiritual power continued to increase, and it was about to break through Zar's imprisonment.
Drachmach and Boloni kept their distance. It was easy to be damaged by a death battle between two Heaven-ranks, especially with Lie Shuangtian's destructive power. Drachmach lightly sighed. Zar was hoping to restrict the growth of his power, and for Lie Shuangtian to self-destruct, but he was underestimating the strength of the Lie Flame Technique. The growth of this technique was not for self-destruction.
Weng~~~~~
Lie Shuangtian's whole body turned into the color of flames, and the mech disappeared. As a life form, this was a miraculous state, the flame soul state. Lie Shuangtian had surpassed the limits of the human body and strength. This was the universal life form state. Zar's spatial imprisonment could no longer hold it, and Lie Shuangtian's energy continued to increase.
Chapter 1416: Lie Family's Elegy
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
At this time, a patch of darkness approached Lie Shuangtian from behind. Shelley Ritter saw it, but Boloni was blocking in front of him.
The Solar System had miscalculated. The Darkness Empire had not simply sent a fleet over, but a third Heaven-rank as well.
Most Heaven-ranks would fight openly, in a one versus one match. Unluckily, the Darkness Empire's Heaven-ranks did not have such a practice.
The four of them had been battling for a while. To be able to hide for so long against the senses of Heaven-ranks, and to strike when Lie Shuangtian unleashed his ultimate attack, this ability had to surpass theirs. Not only that, this was a Heaven-rank that specialized in assassination.
Darkness shrouded Lie Shuangtian. The fight with Zar has captured most of his attention. Darkness silently crept in and invaded his flame soul body, which was his life energy. For Lie Shuangtian, before he depleted his life force, he was invincible and indestructible – the universal body. However, this was not the case.
The darkness was destroying his domain, and he did not know where his opponent was located.
Lie Shuangtian knew that this would eventually lead to a problem. As the Lie family's pride and the pillar of the family, he made a heroic decision.
Self-immolation!
Zar's imprisonment, the invasion by darkness, this was clearly set up by the coalition forces.
Lie Shuangtian's body grew brighter, and the darkness that had invaded retreated. Zar's expression changed. With a line up like this, they did not come here to die.
The body headed towards the void, and the darkness which shrouded the area receded as well. Lie Shuangtian was finished. As long as they retreated safely, it was their win.
Lie Shuangtian's life was like a lamp, from extreme brightness to extinguishing immediately, and it did not seem to have any impact on space itself. However, everyone, including Drachmach, left the area quickly.
A few seconds later, space had a shocking phenomenon. Red waves exploded and spread throughout the area.
Almost in an instant, space broke apart. Zar vomited out blood, and he began to escape from the waves quickly. Even the darkness, which could not be seen, had a reaction, showing a tinge of red. Then the darkness quickly left. Shelley Ritter and Boloni were considered to be far from the area, but they had been prepared. Hence, they ran the fastest, yet they received the impact from the waves. This explosion had blasted into subspace, so distance could only reduce its impact. Both of them had full defense, but soon, their expressions were pale.
The Lie Flame Technique was indeed the fiercest in the ancient arts era, and in Heaven-rank, this was pushed to the limit, unleashing the true heavenly blaze.
The wave of flames continued for a while. Zar had suffered the most damage, and appeared after a while. Receiving it head-on had caused his body to be heavily damaged, and even with the inner universe, he would need a few years to fully recover. Right now he could only suppress it.
Not far from him was a patch of human-like darkness – it was unclear. However, you could tell that the body had received damage as well. Boloni's expression was unnatural. He had sustained injuries as well. He could only lightly sigh, as Shelley Ritter had escaped.
He did not chase after her. Lie Shuangtian's decisiveness and strength were surprising. The price to pay to keep Shelley Ritter here was too high – one death and one injured. The power of Solar System's Heaven-ranks was no longer there.
Silence fell over the Solar System's command center when they received the news. Their hearts sank. This was what they were most worried about – the Darkness Empire sending out a Heaven-rank warrior. While the Darkness Empire had taken down the Fairy Star, it was said that they had suffered quite a bit for it. who knew that they still had the strength to do this.
Drachmach could not let himself remain down. He knew in his heart that the Solar System had lost, and Meng Ao and Lie Wuqing knew this as well. Lie Shuangtian's death was a huge blow to Mars as well, but at this time, the Martians had no choice. In times of crisis, the Martians were indeed no pushovers.
While the main battlefield remained a tough fight, from the reactions from other battlefields, the Solar System was no longer able to defend itself. Who would have known that the "cannon fodder" led by Qiang Sen would have held back the Darkness Empire's fleet. If not for him, the collapse of the Solar System's fleet would have been faster. The mobility of this fleet was beyond imagination, they had rich battle experience, and Qiang Sen's commanding capabilities was shocking as well.
However, Drachmach knew that this battle could no longer continue. With Lie Shuangtian's death, the fixed. Now, there was an opportunity – the enemy's Heaven-ranks were injured, and normally, Heaven-rank warriors would not go into battle injured, as they were not easily injured. The moment they were injured, it would not be easy to recover. Hence, they had to grab hold of this opportunity.
Drachmach quickly reached a consensus with Meng Ao and Lie Wushuang, to leave the rearguard and gradually retreat from the battlefield. They needed to pay the price when necessary.
On the main battlefield, Zhang Yunfeng's seventh fleet was depressed. They were originally putting on a show, but, expectedly, an enemy's planetary-level ship exploded. This resulted in reinforcements from the Maacah Republic coming, leading to a real fight.
This was something Zhang Yunfeng would have never thought possible. Why would the enemy's main battleship explode out of nowhere?
The act turning into a real fight was what caused Zhang Yunfeng a headache. At this point in time, he had to retaliate. By the time he explained himself, there would be nothing left of the seventh fleet.
Zhang Shan was satisfied with his plan. He had used teleportation the moment his mech was sliced in half and teleported into the enemy's cockpit. He then proceeded to pretend to be the enemy. Using a Maacah Republic mech made it easier to sneak into the enemy's fleet, and since both fleets were putting on an act, the enemy was careless. With Zhang Shan's ability and spatial Ability X, once in the battleship, he did not waste time fighting the warriors in the battleship, but instead caused an explosion in the engine room and then left using teleportation.
After completing a round of attack, he left immediately, he did not want to be surrounded. The weird tempo of the battle left Zhang Shan speechless. He did not know what they were fighting.
Allen Porter did not let go of the chance. He led the fleet to chase after them, destroying the Solar System's rearguard, and the fleet entered the Solar System. The Solar System's fleet continued to retreat, suffering heavy losses, up till they reached Saturn's vicinity, where Saturn's defense formation blocked the enemy's advancement and gave the fleet a breather. However, the Solar System was now wide open, and they had suffered a loss of sixty percent, while the Maacah coalition forces had suffered a loss of at most thirty percent. With one Heaven-rank warrior dead and one injured, they had lost the initiative. The leaders of the Solar System were vulnerable to the enemy's attacks, and they would definitely die unless they were well hidden.
However, for Allen Porter, there was no need for that. There was no longer anyone worth killing in the Solar System. At this step, the mission of the Heaven-rank warriors had been accomplished, so there was no point in taking such a risk. All that was left was to reorganize for the next attack. Saturn's defense is the last line of defense for the Solar System. Once broken through, the next step was landing on the three major planets. For this, the Norton Star and the Ghana Star would be able to fully show off their strength.
Chapter 1417: Wang Zheng Awakens!
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Titatitan Star – it was busy everywhere. Except for a few remnants of the war, the Titans had returned to their lives with high fighting spirits. After this war, the Titans had become stronger and more self-confident. They had assembled their first battleship and had named it the Saruman Snake Battleship. This was a truly meaningful battleship for the Titans, so it had been bestowed this name. At the same time, the Saruman Snake had become the symbol of the Tita Star. It had been silently yet deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
Although the Darkness Empire had been aggressive internationally, internally, the Tita Star was not afraid. Mu Sen was working his magic using various political diplomacy methods. He knew very well that the Dark Empire had no means of attacking the Tita Star before ending their war with the Solar System. They were just making an empty show of their power at the very most. On the one hand, they were continuing their negotiations with the Darkness Empire. On the other, they were making adjustments to their routes, bypassing the Fairy Star. Although their costs had risen quite a lot, compared to the asking price of the Darkness Empire, it was still much better. The Darkness Empire's influence had not stretched that far out yet.
Mu Sen understood human politicians. Many a time, it was all an empty show, leveraging on strength. Mu Sen had also taken the hoodlum attitude of the Titians to look like an idiot. This was to play dumb and buy times, waiting for the situation to become clearer. Mu Sen was already very experienced in dealing with such matters
The Wise Ones were learning very quickly. Coupled with the fact that there was already a pool of people, the basic structure of the fleets had been laid out very quickly. Of course, they did not have high combat power, but they had the basic operating abilities. However, they were still learning the formations, stalling, and other techniques of space wars. They were improving very rapidly. Ares College and the professionals from the Hail Cloud Alliance had provided a lot of assistance.
But there was always an element of worry behind the smiles of the Titans. Wang Zheng had yet to wake up. Although they knew that he should be fine, they could not feel happy, since Wang Zheng was still not awake.
The Saruman Snake legion and the eight major legions had been replenished very rapidly. The goals of Mu Sen, Lan Ling, and the rest were also very clear. It was sufficient to maintain such establishments and numbers. An overflow of the numbers of Tita giants would not bring about combat strength. Instead, it would create a strain to the military supplies. Of course, most of the Tita giants could be involved in the construction of the Tita Star. There were no workers who were more efficient than the Titans.
Other than shouldering the responsibilities of being warriors in the tribes, the other main responsibility of the giants was to rebuild their homes. Of course, being a warrior held a higher honor, but rebuilding their homes was also a very honorable matter. The giants were very proactive and passionate. This had solved the biggest problem of rebuilding the Tita Star. As such, Mu Sen had never been worried about this.
Rara Durai was still the leader of the Saruman Snake Legion. Shan Meng's injuries were basically healed, but he would still require several months to completely recover. Shan Lan was now leading the Titan Guards. After his return, Mu Zhen did not join the Saruman Snake Legion. He was now the commander-in-chief of the other seven legions. He was the first giant to step out of the Titatitan Star and had gotten used to life in the Milky Way Alliance. This seemingly small step was one that the majority of the giants had not taken. Among the giants of Tita, Rara Durai undoubtedly had the highest popularity. However, second to him was not Shan Meng or Shan Lan. Instead, it was Mu Zhen. He had become the hero of many giants with his battles and performances in the Greatest King and SIG.
A real hero would not hide behind closed doors; he had to demonstrate his style in the international stage. This was not only applicable for the humans, but also for the Tita giants.
With the deepening of the integration policies, the Titans were also changing naturally. Coupled with the existence of Wang Zheng, the Titans' initial rejections had now become proactive integrations and understanding.
Mu Sen and the rest were in Wang Zheng's treatment room. They had already gotten used to having meetings there. The doctors said that Wang Zheng was now conscious, and speaking more to him would help hasten his process of regaining consciousness.
However, the current atmosphere was not very pleasant. News of the defeat of the Solar System had just reached them.
"It's unexpected that the Solar System would be so quickly and so comprehensively defeated. We have to be prepared for war," said Mu Sen.
"The fleets have been severely damaged. The Heaven-rank warriors: one is dead and the other is injured. The three Heaven-rank warriors from the Maacah Coalition forces only sustained superficial injuries. They have completely lost their right to take the initiative. Saturn's defences won't last long," said Lan Ling. Given their relationship with the Solar System, and what was currently at stake, the Titans were worried too. As soon as the Solar System was defeated, the Darkness Empire would turn their attention to Tita and wage war on them. The Darkness Empire was even more unscrupulous than the Sirius Star. Perhaps some smaller forces could be attacking soon.
"The basic threshold of the Milky Way Alliance is slowly disappearing. We'll really be in danger when the time comes where everyone wants a piece of the pie," said Mu Zhen. After returning from the Milky Way Alliance, Mu Zhen was vastly different from the average giants.
Everyone was looking at Ye Zisu. Ye Zisu sighed. "The situation is more serious than we think. The problem with the Solar System is not just externally. Internally, the conservatives are in an uproar as they feel that the reforms by General Meng Ao and the rest are a failure. Disarmament has led to insufficient strength in this war."
Although the militaries of the Solar System were very well funded, many of the battleships and facilities were old and lacked combat abilities. Yet they still took up a large amount of the military expenses every year. Furthermore, a large amount of the expenses went to their personal pockets. However, this became the excuse of the conservatives.
A few councilmen had come out and held Drachmach responsible for the failure of the war. Instead of standing united against the enemies at such difficult times, internal strife was occurring. Perhaps only the Solar System could be capable of this behavior.
"However, the situation is currently under control. But if another defeat happens, the Solar System will definitely be doomed. Saturn's defence systems will not last for too long. What should we do?" asked Ye Zisu.
"Boss, it's time for you to wake up and do something. If this continues, we'll lose our initial investment," Yan Xiaosu muttered as he touched the petri dish jar. Solutions? There were plenty. However, they were of little use. Yan Xiaosu looked to be getting by, but he had great intelligence. The current situation required someone who was decisive and powerful. They needed Wang Zheng to step up. How could he still be lying in the can at a time like this?
Just then, Wang Zheng opened his eyes. Yan Xiaosu rubbed his eyes and pressed himself against the can, "Boss, are you… awake?"
"Xiaosu, move your face away. Your saliva is spewing," said Wang Zheng. Everyone in the room was smiling.
They needed a pillar, and Wang Zheng would definitely have solutions. Wang Zheng returned to the room after a few minutes, after changing.
Wang Zheng seemed different yet again after coming out from the can. Although he looked to be the same person, everyone felt something special, as if there was something more.
Chapter 1418: Team up to give the galaxy a surprise!

Yan Xiaosu did not care for that. Even if Wang Zheng became a deity, he would still bring him along. "Hey, you don't seem to have put on or lost any weight. There's nothing special about a Heaven-rank master."
"Hey, man, look where you're touching. I'm not into men," said Wang Zheng laughingly. "You're getting fatter. Be careful, or you'll become a ball."
"It's alright. I'm taken anyway," said a laughing Yan Xiaosu. The atmosphere was suddenly lightened by their teasing.
"Wang Zheng, the current situation is a little critical…" said Mu Sen. There were many twists and turns to the story.
Wang Zheng waved his hand as he smiled. "Elder Mu Sen, I've heard everyone's conversations."
Immediately, Lan Ling's face turned red… Did this mean that he had heard all her inner thoughts?
"What should we do?"
Wang Zheng did not hesitate at all. "Let's march to the Solar System and finish off the enemies!"
They could not allow the Darkness Empire to gain victory, whether it was from a strategic or homeland perspective. Wang Zheng was duty-bound.
Wang Zheng had set the direction. What remained was how they should set off!
The Titans basically did not have any space warriors. They only had one operational star fleet with zero practical experience. But despite having just experienced a war, everyone present was ready to fight after Wang Zheng said that he was setting out on the expedition.
The doctor wanted to give Wang Zheng a comprehensive checkup but was refused by Wang Zheng. As a Heaven-rank warrior, his body had already surpassed the realm of a normal person. The general medical theories would not be effective for them either. The inner universe was a totally new field.
As for the decision to set out on the expedition to the Solar System, Wang Zheng was not rash. It was a thoroughly thought-out decision. He had initially wanted to go alone. However, after learning of the changes in formation of the star fleet, he suddenly had an idea.
Death would definitely be a certainty if he sent this temporary star fleet out on this expedition. Even though the Wise Ones of Tita were fast learners, their war experience was zero. Their training was simply insufficient. He had no intention of sending the Wise Ones to their deaths.
This was what was most puzzling for all of them.
Wang Zheng got through the Skylink. Xie Yuxin was feeling really bored at this moment. He had nothing to do because everything happening internally in the army was a mess. Everyone was pushing the blame and attacking their opponents for the defeat of the war. Xie Yuxin was in a lowly position, so his words carried no weight. Besides, he would not say anything. It would be useless. Could this be the end of the Solar System?
Xie Yuxin honestly felt nothing. It did not matter that he felt no honor or was heartless. This was how he felt honestly. If such a Solar System did not fail, it would indeed be intolerable injustice. He was only doing his part. He could not change God's will and did not have the intention to. He was different from Wang Zheng. He was not willing to fight for an opportunity. If an opportunity arose, he would unleash his potential a little. If there was no opportunity, so be it. If he was to die in the war, that would be the end. When a person died, it would be like the snuff of a candle – he would eventually be forgotten.
His Skylink rang. Xie Yuxin answered it subconsciously. "Earth Advisory Department…"
"Yuxin, it seems that you're doing a good job as an advisor." Looking at Xie Yuxin, Wang Zheng broke into a bright smile.
Xie Yuxin was somewhat taken back. He shook his head helplessly. "It's actually you. Why? Are you coming back?"
Almost without thinking, Xie Yuxin understood all too well. Wang Zheng did not have to explain himself. Among the people that he knew, Xie Yuxin had always been the most intelligent and perhaps even the most talented.
Seeing Wang Zheng's nod, Xie Yuxin shrugged his shoulders. "It's useless."
"It would be useless if it was just me alone. What if we join forces?" said Wang Zheng smilingly. "I'll deal with the three senior Heaven-ranks. You'll take charge of the coalition forces. It's a fair division, right?"
"You think too highly of me. I'm just an advisor. To be exact, I don't even qualify to be in the battlefield." Xie Yuxin smiled bitterly. From Earth to Aslan, to Elite Academy X, and even on the Oracle Star, no one paid any attention to Xie Yuxin. As such, when he returned to Earth, this was the only post that he could secure, and it was on account of his family. He was really an unknown.
However, reputation did not equate to ability. Wang Zheng knew that among the people around him, there was only one person that he could be compared to.
"I have already prepared a fleet for you. Although they are all novices, the spiritual acceptance and reactions of the wise ones of Tita are the best in the Milky Way Alliance. The problem now is whether you know the game that Ren Yixuan is playing!" asked Wang Zheng. Xie Yuxin's spiritual power was the strongest he had encountered. He had already demonstrated this on the Oracle Star. To be exact, Xie Yuxin and Ren Yixuan were the same type of people.
Everyone at the scene was dumbfounded. Who was Ren Yixuan? He was the most famous person in the Milky Way Alliance now. He alone had driven Aslan to a desperate end. Even the prime minister of Arbiter had declared that he himself could die but not even scratch should be found on Ren Yixuan. He was a national treasure. Countless countries had researched and tried imitating Ren Yixuan, but none had achieved it.
This Xie Yuxin, who was he?
Xie Yuxin shook his head lightly. "I don't know…" Everyone was stunned. What… the heck was this?
"But I have my own little plan. It seems like a good idea too."
Wang Zheng clapped his hands while laughing. "Let's join forces then and give the Maacah coalition a surprise. Zisu, we'll have to trouble Chancellor Ye to make the arrangements."
Ye Zisu nodded. "This matter regarding Yuxin is an easy task. There are too many talents in the Advisory Department. No one is taking notice of someone like him. We will take him in."
Switching off the Skylink, Xie Yuxin closed his eyes and took a deep, long breath. A smile appeared from the corner of his mouth. How could he phrase this? Even with his cold temperament, he was not willing to resign to his own fate. To be famous?
He was not interested; otherwise, the Milky Way Alliance would have known him by now. But he had things that he wanted to do, like going to the Oracle Star, like this war. Wang Zheng was the only one in this world who understood him. Just like back then, when they were applying for Ares College, he was the only one in the entire universe who knew that Wang Zheng would eventually shock the entire world.
It was rare to have a confidante in life.
It was time to make his move.
"Xie Yuxin, Xie Yuxin, this is no time for you to laze around. Finish the report quickly. Give those good-for-nothings a good talking to. How could they lose such a battle! They're really stupid!"
The director's yelling could be heard in the office. The defeat had put the director in a very bad mood. He had found Xie Yuxin to be even more a prick in the eyes.
Xie Yuxin smiled and stood up. From a distance, he waved his hand at the director, leaving a dashing figure of his back…
Director Oak was stunned. That son of a b**ch. Was he ignoring him?
Was this a mutiny?
Did he think that he could be so arrogant with an over the hill grandfather?
Kid, don't come back if you have the guts!
Oak was hopping mad. The current situation was really precarious. Everyone could tell that the Solar System was at a dead end. Should he run?
Many of the businessmen already had this intention. They should run before the Maacah coalition completely took control of the routes. Once the ground defences were breached, it would be even harder to run.
Was Xie Yuxin… thinking of running?
Right! That had to be it. That guy was so cunning; he was actually thinking of running away. No way. He had to run too!
"Director Oak, the army has an order for you to attend a meeting. It's very important. You have to be there or you'll be court martialed!"
Oak was taken aback. Damn it. He did not want to be the director anymore…
Chapter 1419: Breakthrough
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Aslan displayed their intentions clearly, just like the Solar System. They were not going to attack. Instead, they would rely on the Aslan Empire's defense system. The council had a huge debate over it years ago for such a huge investment into defense. Why was there a need for a defense system if they were already this strong?
Facts proved that it was right to plan ahead. The Aslan people debated hard, but they treated the matter very seriously. This defense system was going to save their lives.
Their opponent, however, was a rare military genius — Ren Yixuan. Ren Yixuan was now the chief strategist of the Arbiter Republic's fleet, where even a few admirals made way for him. Everyone knew he was the real decision maker. That was also why the Arbiter Republic was so strong. No one would hinder Ren Yixuan's way just because of his youth and qualifications.
The strongest was the most respected, while Xie Yuxin could only be a secretary on Earth.
The Arbiter Republic and the Maya Empire launched a large scale attack but was met with resistance from the strong defense system of the Aslan Empire. Aslan's satellite chain defense system was indeed amazing. Their astronomical annual maintenance fee wasn't paid in vain. Ren Yixuan's game wasn't perfect either. It didn't have that overwhelming advantage like in fleet warfare. Of course, the system was also a treasure left behind by Kashawen.
The Arbiter Republic didn't deal with the situation. They launched multi-directional attacks when they started encountering difficulties attacking from the front. They created international pressure and attracted alliances at the same time. That was Ren Yixuan's strategy. Arbiter would suffer heavy losses if they were to go all out on Aslan. It would be impossible to conquer the Aslan Empire this way. Therefore, Ren Yixuan had to create a force to seal the core of the Aslan Empire's territory, trapping them. The Aslan and Mayan ambassadors were on the move as well in a bid to sway some of the greedy nations.
In fact, some countries had secretly supported Arbiter's fleet. That was also showing their position. That would be in their favor when Arbiter took Aslan down.
Other than their successful defense on the main battlefield, Aslan's five core planets and star fields had begun to fall. Aslan had a strong fighting force, but they were unable to resist such a huge force. Ren Yixuan was a pain in the *ss. He stayed in the main battlefield and attracted Aslan's core fleet, resulting in them having weaker forces in other regions. The core fleet didn't dare to take Ren Yixuan lightly.
It was a process of slow death. Their morale might still be high, but how long could Aslan last after losing their satellites and resources?
Aina didn't know. She couldn't think about anything long-term now. She couldn't tell day from night now, but she knew she could not fall. She would persist until the very last moment, even though she didn't know if she was right or wrong. However, as the queen, she needed to fight with her warriors to the end.
Huiyin wasn't idle either. She went to different camps every day to encourage the soldiers. She was instrumental in keeping the morale of their people alive in such a dire situation. The poor little thing's voice cracked, but she agreed with her big sister's decision and she firmly believed that Aslan would prevail in the end.
Where was victory?
No one could see any direction now, they could only persevere.
There were three major factions within the Milky Way Alliance now. Aslan and Arbiter with the largest scale of battle. Next was Manalasuo and the Hail Cloud Alliance against the Sirius Star. The Sirius Star bared their wolf fangs when forced to the wall. Manalasuo and the Hail Cloud Alliance's ambitions were reeled in. The Sirius Star adopted a different kind of containment warfare. They would never give in.
That caused Manalasuo a huge headache. They hoped to obtain power through occupation, but they loathed this characteristic of the wolf planet. Nonetheless, they could no longer turn back. They could only destroy the Sirius Star in one breath, which was the most difficult part of their war.
Victory was inevitable to Bolet. The problem was how to obtain it. The strategist of Manalasuo was considering his moves. Jondi Lilick was smart, that was without a doubt. His performance in war was outstanding. Manalasuo had been learning, learning from Arbiter, learning from Aslan. The pressure they faced was smaller, and so was the attention they received. However, they were the country that was the most willing to try new things in the Milky Way Alliance. From mecha, to warships, to tactics, the whole country advocated innovation. That brought them to where they were now. However, they weren't as strong as Arbiter and Aslan in terms of foundation. Bolet wasn't someone who liked to use "brute force", as there were always more solutions than problems. They only had to solve the current predicament they were in.
From the start, Bolet didn't think this would be an easy battle. Variables always existed. The Hail Cloud Alliance was satisfied with occupying the smaller satellites and showcasing their military power. They wouldn't fight over territory with Manalasuo, that was why they were so in sync. Of course, Manalasuo didn't expect the Hail Cloud Alliance to do much in their battle. Every country in the Milky Way Alliance was securing their own place.
Jondi Lilick came, saying he had something important to discuss. Bolet was surprised. Of course he would meet him, no matter how busy he was. Jondi was someone he could trust. Bolet frowned after listening to Jondi Lilick's report. "What do you think of Lear?"
"I didn't think much of him at the start, but my mind's changed now. I went to the Oracle Star before. He left it alive and has obviously undergone a very huge change. I believe that means that the genetic modification succeeded and is a match with his abilities. This person has great ambition and is really shrewd. He will do anything to succeed," Jondi Lilick said. He was surprised when Lear sought him out, but Lear's proposal intrigued him.
Anyone else would have ignored it, but Jondi Lilick was from Manalasuo. He didn't care what Lear's position was, the important thing was what he wanted and what could he bring to Manalasuo.
Bolet smiled slightly. "Everyone has ambition, but one's ambition has to match their strength. I want to meet him and hear him out about this so-called New Human Project. Manalasuo as the conqueror of the universe, now that's a bold statement."
Chapter 1420: Kill Them All
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Bolet had thought about this. He knew about Lear, of course. He came from Earth and had been constantly eclipsed by Wang Zheng. He was different, refusing to be suppressed by Wang Zheng. Bolet was very interested in Lear being able to escape the Oracle Star and being able to complete the Saint's experiment. Manalasuo loved innovation. That aspect was totally different from other countries. They weren't afraid of being different, nor were they afraid to try new things, and bioengineering was definitely not a problem. To Bolet, anything that could improve combat effectiveness was good. Lear didn't seem like much of a problem either. Genetic modification or cell enhancement weren't really necessary in peaceful times, but it wasn't impossible to consider now.
The most important question was the result it could bring about.
The Solar System was the one in real danger compared to the other countries. They activated their full forces and Saturn's defense, but it eventually collapsed. The Solar System lost thousands of warships again. Their portals now opened wide. The once supreme existence called mankind was now a little white lamb for slaughter.
Drachmach and the rest led the defense but were continuously forced back. Earth itself was in turmoil too. Conservatives had jumped at the opportunity to sing the song of surrender.
They saw no hope in this war.
Maacah was consolidating their forces after they took down Saturn's defense. The battle had taken a toll on them. Their logistics had been continuously supplying them throughout. They had to be more conscious, especially in such a situation. The Solar System was now a tiger without its fangs. Allen Porter and Iyerta Laboge were of the same opinion — wait for their reinforcements before destroying Mars. Mars was the strongest in the Solar System. Destroying Mars was akin to destroying the Solar System's last line of defense. The Moon and Earth would have no choice but to surrender after Mars fell.
Of course, from a tactical point of view, Allen Porter had issued an ultimatum to the Solar System, to give up the futile resistance and surrender. They would adhere to the basic captive guarantee of the Milky Way Alliance.
It was a bid to divide the Solar System from within, making them less united to pave the war for the final decisive war. After all, a real surrender was unlikely since they were not desperate.
A good general knew how to strategize.
Of course, there was also some bad news. According to intel, a fleet was slowly approaching the Solar System. It seemed like a joke, but it was actually from the Titatitan Star!
The Titatitan Star!
Everyone burst out laughing after being shocked for five whole seconds. The fleet of the Titatitan Star?
Were they stupid?
They knew that Tita had obtained some leftovers from the Sirius Star and gotten the dwarves to pilot them. It wasn't difficult to pilot a warship, but war was a completely different matter altogether. The Darkness Empire was elated. It was best for them to wipe them all out and save them trouble, even though they didn't think these pieces of trash could pose any threat.
The coalition forces had a great feeling of the situation. They beamed with confidence and dismissed Wang Zheng's fleet.
Wang Zheng had just entered the ranks of Heaven-rank and was not a cause for worry. If he had arrived before the start of the war, it would have posed a big problem since it would have been a three on three battle. However, it was a three on two battle now, and they now knew Shelley Ritter's power. They could only say that the Heaven-rank warrior of the Solar System was weaker and getting on in her years. Shelley Ritter and Lie Shuangtian were older than the coalition forces' Heaven-rank warriors by a decade. Time could naturally deepen understanding at some stages, but when they reached the bottleneck, time would take away a lot of things. That affected especially the Heaven-rank warriors.
At the same time, the injuries were more severe for Shelley, and would take her more time to recover. Her condition would deteriorate rapidly if she were to fight again. Also, not everyone could use this kind of self-destructive method. The Lie Flame Technique could only display such power because Lie Shuangtian had used it. That was out of the coalition forces' expectation. They were planning to kill their opponents without a drop of blood. A battle between Heaven-ranks was a contest of their realm. It was extremely cruel, but if arranged well, it could be bloodless. Of course, this would be the situation if they used an overwhelming number of people. The Darkness Empire was still best at sneaky attacks.
It would be extremely convenient to kill Wang Zheng in the Solar System as well.
The coalition forces deliberately slowed down their offensive attacks. On the one hand, that allowed their supporting fleet to catch up to them. On the other hand, it was also to wipe out Wang Zheng and his buffoon fleet. It would be a shame to scare Wang Zheng back to Tita as it would be troublesome for their future occupation of Tita. They were most afraid of a Heaven-rank with guerrilla tactics. Those savages wouldn't submit if Wang Zheng didn't die, that much was clear. That was why they shouldn't miss this chance since he was courting his own death. They could even borrow the Maacah Republic's strength now. How could the Darkness Empire miss out on such a good deal?
Such a juicy plot was the reason why Iyerta Laboge had been so very polite and enthusiastic recently. Allen Porter knew what the Darkness Empire was plotting, but they weighed the odds and gave in. After all, their battle would have gone south if it wasn't for the Darkness Empire. Moreover, they only wanted resources and would take no part in management after the occupation. That met the needs of the Maacah Republic. They wanted the right to occupy and show off the strength of their nation in the new world structure.
They both took what they wanted.
The Darkness Empire wanted benefits, while the Maacah Republic wanted pride. The Ghana Star and the Norton Star, as followers, would obtain benefits as well. The Ghana Star was here to loot, while the Norton Star wanted independence.
Starry skies filled the military meeting room of the higher echelons of the Solar System. Many of them joined through Skylink.
The presiding officer was Ye Bingwen. He was still the speaker of the Solar System in name. The only thing he did was express his support for Meng Ao and the rest. However, Meng Ao returned in low spirits after his defeat. What was a politician?
They cared not about the processes and looked only at the results. They had been attacked in various ways before the meeting had even begun.
Oak listened, standing at the sidelines. His heart thumped fearfully, the situation was more dire than expected.
Chapter 1421: This is True Faith!

"Silence! Silence!" Ye Bingwen knocked heavily on the table. Ye Bingwen had influence over the past few years because he had a strong alliance with the revolutionary group.
"Most of them are here. The meeting starts now. To cut the story short, the situation is unfavorable for our Solar System. We need to stay united. Any traitor will be punished by military law!" Ye Bingwen had always been firm on his position. He did not speak out when everything went smoothly, but he stood firm during such times. He was a politician and was willing to sacrifice his life for the Solar System. That was why he hadn't fled. He wanted to coexist with the Solar System.
Everyone present was brilliant. They could sense the meaning contained in Ye Bingwen's message. "President Ye Bingwen, no one wants to betray the country, but the problem is, are we going to continue this battle even though we know we are going to lose? You must know that failure will bring countless civilian casualties!"
Zhang Yunfeng Lieutenant General said. Many agreed.
Ye Bingwen glanced calmly at Zhang Yunfeng. "Human dignity and freedom sometimes need to be defended with life. We will only win if we have the determination to die!"
"Haha, President Ye, talk is cheap. You are but an armchair quarterback. We are the ones facing the bombs in our face. We may be sacrificed any time while you stay at the back drinking coffee comfortably."
Ye Bingwen dug his eyes into Zhang Yunfeng before sweeping his gaze around. "I, Ye Bingwen, swear here to coexist with the Solar System. I will commit suicide the moment our soldiers are utterly defeated. The Solar System does not have a President who surrenders."
Shing…
A dagger plunged into the table. Everyone quietened down, knowing that this crazy man called Ye Bingwen wasn't joking. To be taken lightly was worse than death to a politician. Ye Bingwen was serious. The conservatives had nothing to say about his attitude. Anything else now would be perceived as childish. They were all people who had climbed to their positions, no one was a fool.
Zhang Yunfeng zipped his mouth, unwilling to be a target.
"The situation is unfavorable for us, but our reinforcements are arriving. I believe everyone has heard about it. The fleet from TitaTitan Star will be here soon. From the enemies' movements, I believe they want to have the decisive battle on Mars. General Lie Shuangtian sacrificed himself bravely, but we now have a new Heaven-rank warrior. The youngest Heaven-rank in history. I'm sure everyone knows his name."
Ye Bingwen said.
In peaceful times, such a young Heaven-rank warrior would have undoubtedly given the Solar System glory. Now, however, everyone would lament why Wang Zheng wasn't born earlier. Shelley Ritter wasn't in a great condition right now. Would the young bud Wang Zheng need to go up against three Heaven-rank warriors?
That was suicidal, and the fleet of the Tita Star… The coalition forces had obviously let them in so that they could nab them all in a go.
Zhang Yunfeng's lips curled up in a cold smile. To pin all hopes on a young f*ck and small, savage dwarves pieced together at the last minute as a fleet. That was simply viewing war as child's play! Humans had to seek their own means of survival!
Ye Bingwen knew these reinforcements wouldn't bring about much hope. That was the shortcoming of human nature in the Solar System. They spiraled downwards way too fast. He could not divulge Xie Yuxin's secret. He could only endure it now since they weren't strong internally.
Ye Bingwen decided to trust in Wang Zheng's words about Xie Yuxin's ability. That lad never exaggerated, no matter how extraordinary it all sounded.
The effect of this pre-war mobilization meeting was unknown, but military law was highlighted. He who fled would be killed without any mercy!
The delicate balance of the Solar System's army was shifting. Drachmach, Meng Ao, and Lie Wuqing were all prepared for the worst. They were at the age where they saw through all in life. Dying in battle was the fate of a warrior, even though the level of their enemy was really low. They didn't intend to fall into the hands of Maacah.
Ye Bingwen wasnt just going to wait. That wouldn't be a good politician. The current aloof attitudes of these people had to change.
The model of the Tita Star inspired Ye Bingwen. Wang Zheng was the center of the youths in the Solar System and would especially influence those in the army. He took the initiative to bring out this power. If not, the conservatives would take over. That might spell a complete collapse of the Solar System before the fight even began. Ye Bingwen still had that power.
After the meeting, some grass-roots soldiers received a long string of orders to be disciplined, fight bravely, and not be afraid to sacrifice themselves. That didn't seem encouraging in the least bit.
The images didn't even play out as the warriors were about to leave. The screen went dark suddenly before showing the backdrop of the Solar System.
Ye Zisu readjusted the elements of the Solar System. Moral and unity were always the top priority in war, no matter in which era.
The background had a clear sign on it — the Saruman Snake's logo!
Those preparing to leave stopped in their tracks. Those discussing depressingly and those who were mocking stopped. Everyone's gazes fell onto the screen.
On large screens everywhere on Earth, the Moon, and Mars, all major media outlets showed the same screen. All screens were switched to the same signal.
That was what Ye Bingwen could do, and was the last method Drachmach and the rest could attempt.
Would it work? They didn't know yet, that was a hail mary effort.
It was a roar of the mech. A few had realized that that was the battle of IG. That brilliant duel of the Phantom King. The Atlanteans were no longer the Phantom Kings after the battle!
The scene changed to Elite Academy X. Every battle scene of the Greatest King. There was one person, a team that battled, no matter their opponent, no matter how difficult. They stood at the top of Elite Academy X and became the Greatest Kings!
People started feeling the power from within. Yes, they needed to ignite the pride of the Solar System. This was the time where they should be the proudest. They were the origin of humans, the proud and mighty Solar System!
They finally stood at the battlefield of SIG against the strongest nations and the strongest teams. Who was the strongest?
Passionate music accompanied Wang Zheng's appearance on screen. The Saruman Snake battle team proved themselves. Their arrogant and powerful opponents fell in front of them one by one. Manalasuo, Arbiter, Atlantis, etc. Then came the Aslan Empire, who were tough, but the Saruman Snake battle team and Wang Zheng were like an insurmountable peak.
Chapter 1422: All Ready!

When all was peaceful, he was at the world's peak.
History's youngest Heaven-rank warrior was here!
These words were appearing on screen, one at a time.
Achilles appeared, Lie Xin appeared, Zhang Shan appeared. These were the three experts that represented the three major planets of the Solar System, but this was not enough!
A fourth figure appeared, the visuals became clearer.
It was Wang Zheng!
Wang Zheng arrived with reinforcements, joining the Solar System's fleet for the final battle against the invaders!
This was Commander-in-Chief Drachmach's voice, fight for freedom and honor!
Yes, they were the people of the Solar System, how could they cower before invaders?
Wang Zheng was here, the Greatest King, Heaven-rank, the unbeatable leader. The Solar System would be victorious!
The media finished the broadcast for the war propaganda. Drachmach and the rest were waiting. Would this be effective?
In theory, this was merely the idol effect, something the Solar System had not used in many years. Even if Wang Zheng dared to come, in terms of military strength, this was merely an addition of a Heaven-rank warrior. They should not think about this rationally, since thinking about it would not change anything.
Why was there no movement at all?
Drachmach took a deep breath. "Monitor the fleet's situation."
"Yes, Commander-in-chief!"
Why was there no noise? Was it not effective at all?
Drachmach and Ye Bingwen looked at each other. They did not expect it to have much of an effect, but for it to receive no reaction at all, it truly was over. This meant that the troops were in despair, and could no longer fight. The battle would then be truly hopeless.
When the screen changed, Drachmach and Ye Bingwen were shocked.
The soldiers were clenching their fists, gritting their teeth. A few seconds later, earth shaking roars and cheers exploded from countless ships. The soldiers were not afraid of death, but they needed a spiritual leader. Yes, the soldiers needed faith, a role model, and this role model would not be their officers who feared death.
"I'm going to screw over the dogs of Maacah!"
"Darkness Empire, I'm coming for you!"
… Various vulgar words came flying from their mouths. These were the voices of the soldiers. They needed the support for victory.
At this moment, Drachmach knew that he did not need to worry about morale any longer. All that was left was to think about the battle tactics.
Xie Yuxin met up with the Saruman Snake fleet. Drachmach did not know if he would be able to use this person. This person… did not have any reputation, and his performance was average. He had specially requested for Xie Yuxin's file, but there was nothing much. All that was left is to have faith in Xie Yuxin
For the Saruman Snake fleet, this impromptu fleet… Drachmach knew why the enemy had allowed them in – it was to destroy all of them once and for all.
After losing Saturn's defense, Drachmach knew that there was nowhere left for him to retreat. Lie Wuqing would not watch Mars fall to the invaders, and the Martians were prepared for a battle to the death. This meant that Earth and the Moon would have to do the same. If any of them backed out, the Solar System Federation was finished, and in the middle of all of this was trust.
Strategic retreat?
They had never thought about it. The Martians would leave their homeland, they were too stubborn. This was the truth.
At the Saruman Snake fleet, Wang Zheng watched Xie Yuxin step down from the operating console. "How does it feel?"
Xie Yuxin rubbed his forehead and smiled. "It's alright, the spiritual ripples of the wise ones are standardized and the controls are great, saving a lot of effort, but it requires more practice."
"I will leave the Darkness Empire's fleet to you. As for the three weak and old, leave it to me. I don't think this counts as taking advantage of you," Wang Zheng said.
Xie Yuxin shook his head. "Don't you need Shelley Ritter's help? Although injured, she is a Heaven-rank after all. Other than Zar suffering severe injuries, the other two are fine, and they can temporarily suppress their condition."
"After reaching Heaven-rank, the rules are different. From their tactics, I know that they are going to lose." Wang Zheng smiled confidently.
Xie Yuxin nodded. The rules of Wang Zheng's world were things he could not understand, just like how Wang Zheng was unable to understand the rules of the mental world. This was the first time they were working together, and Xie Yuxin was excited.
During the propaganda, they did not mention Xie Yuxin. On the one hand, it was for secrecy. On the other, there was no point in mentioning him, as Xie Yuxin's reputation was weaker than Zhang Shan's.
The effects of training were decent, but no one knew what would happen in an actual battle. Everyone was anxious because this was the battle that would determine the fate of the Solar System and the Tita Star, as well as the fate of countless lives.
Ye Zisu and Yan Xiaosu did all they could, all that was left was to wait quietly. Seeing the confidence from Wang Zheng and Xie Yuxin, they were reassured. Ye Zisu understood that the mentality of these two were on a different level, something a normal person would not be able to achieve.
The Saruman Snake fleet was reaching Mars' star field, and about to meet up with the Solar System's fleet. However, they maintained their formation. There was no need to exchange pleasantries, as the battle was about to begin.
Zhang Yunfeng was smoking his cigar while sipping on his red wine. A smirk appeared on his face. Sirius had done well. It seemed like the Titans had taken a large sum from them. However, no matter how good the equipment may be, in the hands of a bunch of rookies, it would not be used to its full potential. The proposal he had submitted was rejected. That bunch of b*stards, if it was his men in command of this fleet, it might have some fighting potential, and his authority would be greater as well. In this age, whoever had the troops would be king. Drachmach and the other two would not be able to do anything to him.
He had to work with this bunch to defend against the Darkness Empire's fleet?
The military must have lost it. Making me cannon fodder, they are indeed naive.
Zhang Yunfeng's smirk grew. He finished the red wine in one gulp, caressing the hair of the beautiful officer kneeling before him. The good days were about to come. However the war may end, he would be the final victor!
The Darkness Empire's reinforcements showed how important this battle was to them. The mass of coalition fleets were encroaching on Mars. The heavy laser cannons of planetary level battleships were fully charged. The morale of the coalition forces was high, and they were doing their jobs. This was a battle to split the cake, and everyone was hoping to achieve something. It was said that after occupying this place, there would be a month of "celebrations", which meant ignoring human rights, allowing them to plunder and raid.
The Maacah Republic may not be that cruel, but if the Darkness Empire and Ghana chose to do so, they could close one eye to it, as they had put in the most effort.
From the current development of the Milky Way Alliance's situation, not only could they occupy the Solar System, they might be able to expand further, as there were more targets than just the Solar System. They could ride on the wave of victory to reap more benefits.
Chapter 1423: Solar System's Battle of Fate
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Ai Xiaolu was not worried about the Hail Cloud Alliance deploying its forces. The Sirius Star's strong resistance was expected, as this proved that Sirius was indeed a step away from becoming a major power. This was a trial that Manaluoso had to overcome. As for the Hail Cloud Alliance, they are simply playing a supportive role. They had already reaped the benefits, and had plans to proceed further. A country's system could not change overnight. While the Hail Cloud Alliance may not be a major superpower, it is not weak either, and its geographical location was decent – hard to invade and easy to defend. They were like the Gemini Star, a relatively safe country.
Ai Xiaolu was more concerned about the Solar System's situation. Sometimes, feelings would get in the way of rationality. Ai Xiaolu felt that Wang Zheng's decision to deploy troops to the Solar System was the right one, but she was troubled by it as well, as it is too dangerous. While the Darkness Empire's performance showed their desire, it was much more dangerous for Tita to help the Solar System. This was a difficult choice.
Clearly, Wang Zheng was troubled by it. Tita was his second homeland, but Earth was his first, as well as it being KO Group's origin. Whichever reason it may be, it was normal to send out reinforcements. It would be either to die or to live. Wang Zheng was decisive, and the people of Tita were decisive as well. If it was another country, they would merely make their position known, but sending troops out like this was something no one would do.
Just sending Wang Zheng would've been useless. Following him were five thousand wise ones, and they were talented even among those on the Tita Star, the new generation of wise ones. The number of wise ones was much lower than that of the giants, so if they were annihilated, Tita's inheritance would be destroyed. It could only be said that Wang Zheng's prestige was far too high on the Tita Star, and no one would doubt his opinion.
Where was the possibility of victory for this war?
Thinking about Wang Zheng risking his life, Ai Xiaolu had mixed feelings. It was not that she did not think about putting them down – if only it was so easy. The more gifted they were, the more stubborn they were. Due to Ai Xiaolu's exceptional performance, numerous families had come to her with marriage proposals. Be it for the Aishi Financial Group or Ai Xiaolu herself, whoever married her would have a bright future.
However, Ai Xiaolu was not interested in any of them. These boys were too childish. No matter how she looked at them, they were too childish for her. Even if she closed one eye, she could only find various reasons to reject them.
This battle should be the most crucial battle for Wang Zheng. If they won this battle, it would bring about great changes to the Tita Star, and it would truly mean that the Tita Star would be able to step onto the international stage. They would find their place in this power shuffle, but how would he turn the tides?
Ai Xiaolu had no choice, she could only wait quietly. She had done all she could.
It was torture to wait, but it was a different situation for those in involved in the battle. The condition of Tita's wise ones was great. They had experienced war before this, but it was mainly supportive roles. The two wars on the Tita Star were mainly fought by the giants. This was their first time on the battlefield, but the wise ones were not nervous – they seemed to be used to this state, and they were suited to life in space.
The giants possessed courage, the wise ones possessed wisdom, but the wise ones did not lack courage – they just did not specialize in strength. After understanding them, even Xie Yuxin was amazed. The whole Tita Star is made for battle. Their growth was split into two stages, and the best would advance. This primitive tribe was extremely outstanding, and with human technology, they would unleash strength greater than humans.
Wang Zheng was the one who had uncovered all of this. Only someone with sharp eyes would have discovered this. As long as the Titans were willing to make the move, there was a position for them in the galaxy in the future, and a position of importance as well. Their ability to procreate was high, and this had something to do with Tita Star's environment.
On this point, Xie Yuxin felt that as long as they survived this revolution, the Tita Star would experience tremendous growth.
Dark clouds loomed over Mars. The massive fleet of both sides were done assembling, and a battle was about to begin.
As a newcomer on the battlefield, Drachmach was slightly worried, hence he deployed Zhang Yunfeng's fleet as the reserve for the first attack, and let Wang Zheng's fleet flank the enemy. They did not dare to put Zhang Yunfeng in the main battlefield, they were afraid of him not giving it his all. But they are unable to touch him at such a sensitive time. Letting him go against the Darkness Empire was the best choice. As for whether they would be able to defend, it would depend on Wang Zheng and Xie Yuxin.
Iyerta Laboge had shown his fangs. This battle was now more interesting. Wang Zheng's name was something he had heard of, a legend from Earth. He could now die satisfied. Using three Heaven-ranks to kill one was rare even throughout history.
As for the fleet, he was not worried about it, as the Solar System was hoping to hold him back using cannon fodder – this was what he wanted. This way, the Maacah Republic could relax for a while, which would make it easier when it was time for them to attack. With regards to Tita, they had to be completely destroyed.
The scale of Zhang Yunfeng's seventh fleet combined with the Saruman Snake fleet was decent, or at least it looked decent. The battle was started by Ghana's fleet. The people of Ghana were famous for not being scared of death, hence they did not mind being the vanguard. Drachmach and Allen Porter met once more.
Mars was fully mobilized. This was a battle to defend their homeland. On the Sage Sect's Saint Mountain, Odin looked up at the sky and saw flickering lights. Those were not stars, but the flames of war.
The fated battle had come. A smile appeared on Odin's face. Only he knew the feelings shown in his smile.
Achilles and the rest were now deep in battle, especially Lie Xin. There was no room for retreat, as behind her was her homeland. Lie Xin had given up on being a commander on a planetary level battleship. She had personally led the mech warriors out to battle, leading by example, charging at the front. She was telling every Martian warrior that it was time to duel it out. For their allies, Earth and the Moon, to give it their all, they would have to risk their lives first.
Lie Xin never lacked a domineering aura.
The battle was intense, and both parties were familiar with each other's tactics through the rounds of battles they had been through. Allen Porter and Drachmach were doing their best mobilizing the troops. Allen Porter's strategy was clear: to hold back Solar System's main force and wait for the Darkness Empire to break through. The Darkness Empire's battle strength was indeed top-rate in the Milky Way Alliance. Once they broke through, the rest would collapse eventually, and victory would be at hand. Allen Porter was no fool, he did not risk his fleet right from the start.
Hence, on the battlefield, the Solar System, which was defending, could be more aggressive. The aggressiveness came from risking their lives, but how long could this last?
Chapter 1424: Making Matters Worse
The members of the Saruman Snake fleet were exceptionally calm. This was the first time the young wise ones were experiencing a space battle, but they were calm like experienced warriors. Their eyes were glimmering with wisdom and curiosity. It was hard to say if the situation was bad or good, but at least when communicating with them, Xie Yuxin felt the stability in their condition and spiritual power. This would help in his commanding and the carrying out of orders. Suddenly, Xie Yuxin liked these guys. Xie Yuxin himself was the opposite of Wang Zheng in that he did not like to be excited. This applied for everything. Once you saw past the true nature of things, they were all the same. The wise ones were the same as him, hence he liked them.
To be able to fight alongside them, even if they died, it was worth it. The last bit of smile that was on Xie Yuxin's face vanished.
The battle was about to begin.
Drachmach gave the order for Zhang Yunfeng's seventh fleet to battle. It did not matter if they were cannon fodder – this was an order, and this was a battlefield. There had to be sacrifices, and someone had to take the lead.
If Zhang Yunfeng started the battle, it would allow the Titans to get used to the battlefield. As for what would happen, it depends on Xie Yuxin.
The Darkness Empire seemed to have no intention of attacking. Laboge was waiting. The Darkness Empire was smarter, and more ruthless. If there were no casualties on the main battlefield, there was no rush.
As for orders?
You must be joking, the lives of the Darkness Empire's warriors were priceless. These orders were unable to control the Darkness Empire.
The Darkness Empire did not move. Zhang Yunfeng was not stupid and was now less anxious. Him leading the fleet into the enemy's territory and fighting?
Even if Drachmach was his father, he would not obey!
Obviously, to prevent trouble, Zhang Yunfeng pretended to fight and ordered his units to fire a few cannons.
While the situation was unclear, he would not pick sides. Zhang Yunfeng knew in his heart that he would only stand on the side of the winners. If the Solar System was defeated, he would have to choose the best opportunity to backstab them. The Darkness Empire's invasion needed some time, so if there was hope for the Solar System, it would not be too late for him either.
Either way, he would not lose.
Alan Berg understood the situation, but he could do nothing about it. When the two sides were fighting, everything depended on the strength of both sides, and now the Darkness Empire was stronger, so what could he do?
"Order the 115th and 879th fleets to attack, initiating Plan Light K!"
"Yes, Commander-in-chief!"
The order went out. The Maacah Republic began to fight seriously. Countless mech warriors and unmanned mecha were deployed from the battleships and flew towards the Solar System Federation. Judging from the numbers, they seemed to have the advantage, as the coalition forces had more people.
Drachmach's eyes were red. On an instant, more than 100 battleships were destroyed. He had yet to rest well in the past few days. His life did not matter, because if they failed, he would be the greatest criminal in the history of the Solar System, the humiliation of the century. No matter how much the Solar System had declined, it had yet to be occupied. Drachmach Doyle, from the great Doyle family of the Moon, would he be the first failure?
Drachmach was willing to give anything for this battle's victory.
When the orders were passed down, the people of the Moon and Martians were the same, giving it their all. A bloodbath was taking place.
Achilles and Lie Xin were the same. Out on the battlefield, they were not of much use to the ship. As mech warriors, leading the ground troops would be better for morale, and their battle strengths were exceptional. In a space battle, the function of a mech warrior was equally important. In the previous battle, Zhang Shan had created a miracle. Everyone thought that he was finished, but he had managed to destroy an enemy's planetary level battleship and return safely. This inspired Achilles and Lie Xin. Zhang Shan was undoubtedly influenced by Wang Zheng the most. He was never bound by the rules, and managed to fight to his greatest potential.
This was what they hoped to do.
However, this time, Zhang Shan did not have the chance to be deployed. He was stuck in Zhang Yunfeng's main battleship. Zhang Shan's achievement was counted under Zhang Yunfeng, as he was under him. Glory belonged to the collective. Even if he was scared of death, the protection of an additional super soldier was good for him.
For this, Zhang Yunfeng had a deep conversation with Zhang Shan. He felt that Zhang Shan was a smart kid. If Zhang Shan followed him, he would have a bright future. There was no need to take risks, as they only had one life.
This time, it was not possible for Zhang Shan to go against orders and leave on his own. He could only stay on the ship.
Iyerta Laboge was watching the invasion. The main battlefield was relatively intense. The number of casualties was now significant, and it was time for them to strike. If Maacah's losses were too great, it would not be good for the battle.
"All great warriors of the Darkness Empire, listen to your hearts. Today is the day we occupy the Solar System. The great Darkness Empire must dominate the Milky Way Alliance. Our target: the Saruman Snake fleet. Attack!"
The Darkness Empire's fleet began their attack. They moved towards the direction of the Saruman Snake fleet. The Darkness Empire's fleet was three times the size of the Saruman Snake fleet, and they completely ignored Zhang Yunfeng's seventh fleet???
This kind of large movement could be seen throughout the battlefield.
Drachmach's heart froze. The main battlefield was a cruel bloodbath, and he could not take any form of intervention anymore. "General Zhang Yunfeng, immediately intercept the Darkness Empire's fleet and flank them from the back!"
Before he could finish his words, the signal was cut. Drachmach's expression was as pale as it could be. Even with his temperament, he could not help but curse. That b*stard, he dared to back off at the last minute!
Yes, the seventh fleet did not move out. He had to be kidding. Zhang Yunfeng had not planned to move from the start. He had achieved a mutual understanding with Iyerta Laboge, to not make any big moves.
The warriors in the seventh fleet saw it. Wang Zheng was the pride of Earth, the hero in every warrior's heart. Fighting alongside Wang Zheng had raised the morale of Earth's warriors. How could they not move when they had received the orders to do so???
Not attacking when given such an opportunity?
Trap? Was the enemy baiting them into attacking?
Even if it was true, at this point in time, they could only attack!
Even a pig would have known that this is the time to strike, but the order from the commander was to wait for an opportunity!
Drachmach was so angry that he puked blood. It was an Earthling once again, dragging them down in the critical moment. They were going to send the Solar System to its death.
Meng Ao tried dialing the communications continuously, but the other side refused to pick up. Meng Ao had given up on cleaning the rest of the conservative faction for the sake of unity, as any major movements would be risky, but this turned out to be worse than expected. When everyone was united, Zhang Yunfeng stabbed them in the back.
Was the Solar System fated to be destroyed?
