This is their first time seeing their boss side of their boss. They never thought that their boss could be this gentle toward someone.
"Who's that woman? Why did our boss come down himself to receive her?"
"That's right. Our CEO never cared when other women came to see him before."
"It seems like she's important to our boss."
"Of course she is. If she's not important to our boss, why would he come down himself to meet her?"
"Look at her hair. It's so long. I wonder where this woman is from."
"I'm sure she comes from far away. There's no woman with long silky hair like her."
"She didn't even dress up or put the makeup on but her look is stunning. She's really a match with our handsome CEO."
Everyone nodded their head in agreement when they heard what their coworkers said.
"What brought you here?" Ethan Chance asked curiously.
This is Aylin Lui's first time coming to see him.
Aylin Lui looked up at his handsome face "Why? Are you unhappy seeing me?"
Ethan Chance smiles "Of course I'm happy. I was just surprised that you came to my company."
"I came here because we need to talk."
Ethan Chance's face turned stiff. 'Did I do something wrong? It seems like it's not something good.'
"Huh? Talk about what?"
"Ding" the elevator door opens. They walked in the elevator.
"About what you had done." Aylin Lui said with a serious face.
'Is she here to talk about what happened between us on our wedding night? I shouldn't have drank too much that night. Now things turned out to be worse.'
"Ding" the elevator door opened.
They walked out of the elevator and walked straight to Ethan Chance's office.
When they're in the office, Aylin Lui turned around and asked "why did you do that?"
Ethan Chance's heart sank hearing Aylin Lui's question.
'She's here because of what happened that night. Will she hate me if I tell her that I didn't mean to do it and he was drunk and didn't know anything?'
"Are you going to divorce me?" Ethan Chance staring at Aylin Lui sadly.
'What's this man saying? Divorce? For what reason?'
"Huh? Divorce?" Aylin Lui asked confusedly. "Are you cheating on me?"
Aylin Lui continues "Ethan Chance, I didn't know that you're that kind of person."
"No. Why would I cheat on you?" Ethan Chance said hurriedly.
Ethan Chance looked up at her and asked in confusion "Aren't you here to talk about what happened on our wedding night?"
Aylin Lui's face turned bright red after hearing what Ethan Chance just said.
"Are you out of your mind? Why would I talk about something like that?"
"Then what are you here to talk about?"
"I'm here to ask you why you made trouble for my company?"
"Huh? I made trouble for your company?"
Ethan Chance was confused. When did he make trouble for his wife's company?
"Aren't you causing trouble for a company overseas?"
"That's right." Ethan Chance answered. "Wait. How do you know that?" Ethan Chance asked in confusion.
"Of course everyone knows about that company very well . That company was famous around the world. And I know everything happens in that company ." Aylin Lui said while sipping her espresso.
Ethan Chance looked at Aylin Lui curiously 'when did this woman start getting interested in the company affair?'
"Don't beat around the bush. Just tell me why are you so interested in that company?"
'That's true. Beating around the bush is a waste of time.'
Aylin Lui put down her espresso on the table and looked up at the man who's sitting in front of her on the other couch "That's my company."
Ethan Chance looked at the woman in front of him in surprise 'What? When did she start running a company?'
'Well it might be true. She's got a large well known company that's why she's richer than me.'
"So you're here because of the company not because you miss me?" Ethan Chance said.
'Is this man gone mad? Why would I miss him?'
"Why would I come to see you because of missing you?" Aylin Lui continued "And why would I miss you?"
Hearing Aylin Lui words made Ethan Chance's face turned stiff and his heart sank.
'Can't this woman lie? Why did she have to be so straightforward?'
Ethan Chance forces a smile "Because I'm your husband. Plus we don't see each other much after we get married. Don't you miss me a little?"
"Miss?" Aylin Lui looked in Ethan Chance's eyes "Ethan Chance, I know you're married to me because you don't have a choice. And there's no love between us." After Aylin Lui said those words, she felt like there's a heavy rock falling on her heart.
'Can't this woman tell that she's the only woman that i ever love?'
