The man looked coldly at Aylin Lui "If not then from who?"
"If I stay here longer, when they come back they'll capture me and kill me. That's why I have to run away as far as I can before they come back." Aylin Lui said.
The man suddenly touched Aylin Lui's forehead.
Aylin Lui's body turned stiff by the sudden touch.
His hand was big and it's so warm.
Aylin Lui's heart beating really fast and her face turned bright red.
"Do you have a fever?" The man asked.
Aylin Lui shook her head "No."
The man looked at Aylin Lui with confusion "If you don't have fever, then why did your face is so red and your pulse run so fast?"
'Is this man doing this to me on purpose?'
"Don't worry about it. It'll be gone in a few minutes."
"This can't do." The man started walking while he dragged Aylin Lui along with him.
The rain is cold but the man holding Aylin Lui's hand was so warm.
"Where are you taking me?" Aylin Lui asked nervously.
'Is he going to kill me? Is he taking me somewhere just to kill me?'
The man didn't answer Aylin Lui. He kept walking without saying anything.
"If you want to kill me, just kill me here. It's tiresome walking."
The man stopped on his track.
Aylin Lui's face hit really hard on the man broad back.
"Why did you stop so suddenly?" Aylin Lui asked While touching her nose. It hurts so much that her eyes become blurry because of the tears.
The man turned around and looked in Aylin Lui's eyes "If I want to kill you, you won't be still alive now."
"Then where are you taking me?"
"My home"
'What? Why's he taking me to his place?'
The man can tell that the woman in front of him feels uneasy.
"Don't worry. I won't do anything to you. It's not safe for a woman to walk around in the wide forest."
'Is he worry about me? He looked cold and his words can hurt you but his heart is kind.'
A smile show on Aylin Lui's face "Are you worried about me?"
The man's face blush a little after hearing the woman in front of him words.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Did you hit your head when you ran away from those men?"
"Aren't they on the same team as you?"
A silence fell on them. It took a few minutes for the man to open his mouth.
"We used to be best buddies. But not anymore." The man said calmly.
You can see that there's sadness in his eyes.
'It seems like this man was betrayed by those bunch of men.'
Aylin Lui patted the man shoulder while smiling "Don't worry. That's how life is."
"I'm not worried." the man said coldly.
"Okay….."
Aylin Lui didn't say any further.
She knows that poking her nose in others business is nice. Plus, she got her own problem to worry about.
"Let's go now. You said you're going to take me to your place right?" Aylin Lui said with seriousness.
"Mmm…"
They walked for a while before reaching the cold face man house.
When they reached the cold face man house, he was still holding her hand.
When the cold face man neighborhood saw him coming back, they rushed up to him with smiles on their face.
But they stopped in their tracks after they noticed that he was holding a woman's hand.
"Who's she?" One of the women asked.
"My woman." The cold faced man answered coldly without stopping walking.
The people who came rushing out of their house to welcome the cold faced man was shocked by what they heard.
"What? Your woman?"
"Yes."
"Where did she come from?"
"Far away."
The cold faced man kept walking till he reached his place.
"This is my house. You can stay here." the cold face man said coldly.
After saying what he wanted to say, he turned around to walk away. But before he did, Aylin Lui opened her mouth and asked "Where are you going?"
"I got things to take care of."
"I'll wait for you. Make sure to be careful. Come back safe." Aylin Lui said worriedly.
This is the first time that someone is telling him to back safe, and someone worries about him.
"I'll. Don't go out without my permission."
"Don't worry. I don't have anywhere to go. I'll wait for you." Aylin Lui said while smiling.
