Chereads / Demons For Christmas / Chapter 4 - Laundry Day

Chapter 4 - Laundry Day

It was a bright Monday morning when all three of them were in the back yard just finishing up the laundry. A long clothes line was pitched and everything that needs washing was being washed, from table cloths, linens and clothes.

Compared to the bright lights of the city, the countryside air was fresh and ever flowing. Laundry dried faster an there was no need of a washing machine. Tammy never did own one of those machines. She hand-washed everything. The boys were eagerly volunteering to help wash her things but she tried to refuse since part of the laundry were her underthings.

She tried, of course, but failed. To her horror, the boys each passed her slips, garters and lingerie.

"Should we have our clothes washed too?" Adreen asked.

Caellum shrugged. "I guess. It is laundry day."

The three boys stripped to the nudes and threw their clothes to the bucket. Tammy gasped. "Boys! Put something on!" She grabbed some towels and threw them to the boys. "Did you not bring extra clothes?"

"Who needs clothes anyways," Baledin stated.

"I knew it! You are nudists!" Tammy should have guessed. They loved stripping at every turn and was never bothered by flesh. She blushed.

"Nudists?" Caellum asked as he secured the towel around him. "We are from a warm climate. We wear less clothing there," he tried to explain.

Tammy wondered where that was. These boys did look exotic. Did they meet his Tucker during a vacation to some tropical island?

The boys had made the laundry day so much fun. It started with mild bantering. Then, it turned into a contest of who can make the most suds from a soapy bucket. It had turned to a suds-fight where they all ended up wet and wild. To clean up, Caellum chased everyone with a hose of water.

"Oh, you boys," Tammy said but she was happy when she said it. "Now I'll have to launder this dress too. I'll just get changed then I'll prepare iced tea and sandwiches for lunch." She ran in the house to get changed.

Adreen followed her, hoping to play some more but Caellum stopped him. Adreen hissed his displeasure.

"Something comes this way!" Caellum looked to the sky.

Baledin bristled at the feeling. "I feel it as well." He manifested his sword and readied for a fight.

"Baledin, it's your turn to distract Tammy," Caellum instructed.

The gold demon perked up and ran to the house. "I'm on it!"

Adreen and Caellum went to meet this threat at the grove. They have buried Jimni's body in the grove that grew the foul weed. It now smelled of death. Demon's blood lingered even after rain. It took extremes like fire and radiation before it dissipated.

The new threat landed in the middle of the grove. It was a dark midnight blue demon with bat-like wings and large tusks for fangs. The two demons recognized him.

"Klael! What brings you here?" Adreen knew him best of all. They had one too many encounters in the Demon Realm.

Klael, blue in color, large in stature and very horse-like in the face, looked at the two minor demons before him. "I'm under human contract."

"Are you looking for Jimni?"

The blue demon grunted. "Yes, that imbecilic imp was supposed to bring me crates of this weed that grows here. Now, I find you here. What have you done to him?"

"Well, he was being his usual imbecilic self so we dispatched him," Caellum answered.

"That is unacceptable." Klael, being of higher level than Jimni, was also more stoic. They only moved when necessary.

"Too bad and it seems we have to dispatch of you too. We can't have anything disturbing the mistress." Caellum transformed into his demon form. Adreen followed. They were going to fight him and Adreen was itching for some action.

"You can try."

"There's no trying needed." Adreen looked at Caellum and Caellum nodded. In their demon form they merged into one large being. The hybrid creature had white skin with streaks of black but his hair was black as midnight. His eyes was gold but ringed in silver. As a combination of Adreen and Caellum, they retained their tail and white wings.

Klael poised for the fight. He was big and fast, faster than Jimni. But Adreen and Caellum had an advantage. The two of them had speed and maneuverability. With two of them controlling one body, Adreen could wild his tail like a weapon while Caellum controlled their flight. Klael was doomed but he was not going down without a fight.
