The twins shook their head in harmony then facepalmed.
"Stupid Kira."
It felt like a whole apple got stuck in her throat. Shizu could not breathe nor say anything. The world around her stopped. She did not know how her legs still managed to support her body. If her heart could choose to give up at that time, it might as well jump out and stop beating. But her face remained calm as she witnessed her first love twisting his tongue passionately with some other woman.
"Ms. Katagiri, you haven't eaten right? I have onigiri (1). Do you want some?"
"Oh Andy, you want onigiri? Sure I'll buy some for everyone as well. Please wait here." She bowed her head to Andy, then left the studio.
She stepped outside of RHK building then made a quick phone call to order some onigiri. The sky was clear blue, the weather was nice, she could feel the wind blew her hair gently.
In the other side of the street Lee Changhyuk who just got off from a taxi could spot the milk girl. He was wearing a black jeans and a black unbuttoned shirt that showed his upper chest. Half of his face remained hidden to the public as he was wearing a shade and a black cap.
He bite his lower lip in hesitation. Hey, he came all the way from Korea, was it only to sneak behind her? In two hours, he would have to go to the airport. He had to catch a flight to Kyoto for a check-up on his rib. The heavy lifting luggages had some effects on his chest. In the worst case scenario, it might take a while before he could come back to Tokyo and see her.
But they're not even friends! He caressed his chin with his thumb and walked in circles. Lee Changhyuk was convincing himself that a proper greeting was mandatory. How should he approach her? He never had to approach anyone! People would kill to approach him. What if she got afraid of him? At that moment, Lee Changhyuk realized that being a gentleman was not easy.
He was making up countless of scenarios in his head to greet her but then he realized there was something unusual about her expression. The milk girl looked like a living zombie! Did she forget how to breathe?
He crossed the street and was about to approach her before she ran off and hid under a big tree. He followed her. It was not hard to catch up to her. He made sure that he kept a safe distance so she would not notice his presence.
The big tree was located in a remote parking lot, so no one was there. She slid herself down and hugged her knees, then started sobbing.
Lee Changhyuk did not say anything and slowly sat himself down in the other side of the tree without making any noise. He could hear her sobbing and weeping. His heart shrank. He leaned his back to the tree then looked up to the sky.
'What hurt you so much? Why are you crying?' But nothing came out of his mouth.
Lee Changhyuk closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His heart ached with her every sobs. But he just sat there and kept her company in silence, while she was crying her heart out.
Groooowled.
Her stomach betrayed her. She stopped crying then realized that she was starving.
"I'm hungry." She said that to herself but Changhyuk could also hear it.
He bite his tongue to stop himself from laughing. Yeah, sure. Of course a sad person can be hungry too.
She wiped her tears with the back of her hand then nodded.
They said when you're hungry, you become more emotional. So, the cry must have come from the hunger! Yes, she was hangry!
She moved on, right?
Him kissing Erika Itoh was a clear statement that he gave no crap about her feeling. He also refused to hear her out. Why would she cry over a jerk like that?
'I tried my best.' She thought.
She patted herself on the shoulder then stretched her body. She stood up, took out her phone and called her best friend Mika as she walked away from the tree.
Lee Changhyuk turned his head and lowered his sunglasses to take a peek. He could see her slowly limping away from him. Until he realized that the milk girl dropped something.
It was a necklace.
