Shizu could not clear her head. Her mind was still full of Kira's cold back who went further from her.
"Aaargh." She growled, got up from bed then opened her cupboard to get a wooden trunk. She put all of the things that reminded her of Kira there.
'Right, I have to be professional. This work is more important. It is time to put an end to all of this. Let's move on.' She thought.
She took a sweatshirt and a hoodie from her wardrobe then put it inside of the trunk. After that she also tossed a diary, some notebooks, a bundle of movie tickets that she saw with him, a perfume, and some other accessories that she got from Kira.
She did not bother to organize them, she just threw them in the trunk like trash. Shizu did not realize that she was panting, out of breath, that cleaning out Kira from her life would be more exhausting than she thought but, she was proud of herself. She was finally able to take this brave step of cleaning up! She nodded her head in approval then patted her own shoulder.
"Good Job." She grinned.
She then saw a necklace with Kira's Initial pendant on her desk.
She approached the necklace then grabbed it.
She had always worn them from the day they started dating to 1 week prior to Korea's vacation. Her hand was shaking, she had always wanted to return this personally to Kira.
It was 1 in the morning. So she abruptly grabbed her bag and took a coat.
Shizu moved so quick that she nudged a box. The souvenir box fell opened and you could see a silky handkerchief that was properly folded. There were 3 latin alphabets that were embroidered to the handkerchief.
L.C.H
She came back to her sense and stopped her movement for awhile before lowered her body to take the handkerchief. She should have moved more carefully, as she would not want to disturb her guests. She took a deep breath and smiled. It smelled of warm cinnamons and leathery. That smell calmed her nerves in the elevator back in Korea and now it calmed her from the unexplainable fire in her chest. She deliberately put the handkerchief inside of a box as a sweet souvenir as soon as she returned to Tokyo, she didn't think that the box would conserve the smell. It was a nice smell. She took a deep breath then exhaled.
"I made sure that you are stored in the safest place in my room. Why did you show yourself now? Are you stopping me from looking for Kira?"
She stared at the handkerchief for awhile before chuckling.
"I guess you should just come with me so I don't do anything stupid." She shrugged then put the small souvenir box in her bag.
Just like that she went to Kira's house.
.....
It was 1 in the morning and the breeze was chilly. Shizu and Kira lived in the same neighborhood so if Shizu was going out she would take the path that would allow her to pass Kira's house. And almost everyday for the past 2 years she would stand in front of Kira's house for 2-10minutes hoping to see him so that she could apologize.
Shizu facepalmed. Now that she looked back, wouldn't she look like a stalker?? She jumped around awkwardly in a circle, regretting her impulsive act. Even now, she could not do anything to return her necklace! It was 1 in the morning, her phone number was blocked and there was no way she would ring the door, right? Nah ah, she could not throw a rock to Kira's window on the second floor eventhough she could clearly see it from where she stood. He was probably not home. Just what in the world was she thinking? She cursed herself then took out the necklace and the souvenir box. She then talked to the latter.
"OK LCH! I swear to you that this is the very last time I act stupid for Kira!"
She was about to throw the necklace to Kira's gate but... a glimpse of guilt filled her chest. She was hopelessly in love with him, he was her whole world. So she took a deep breath then talked to the souvenir box.
"Don't worry I am keeping my words."
